Wasn't sure about the whole "canvas drops" thing until I saw them way better than the usual plastic that ends up sliding into a pile. The guy spent a good while on that cabinet door, sanding it by hand even though it was just a small warp. Caught a glimpse of the paint can, some Sherwin-Williams stuff, and yeah, the room looks brighter without that cheap flat finish from before. This company was great to work with! We reached out to several painting companies to ask about the status of our external paint since we anticipated needing a re-seal, as well as some of our eaves/fascia which we thought needed replacing (all of this based on recommendations from our inspector). Connor from Sound Painting was available to come out and look at our house pretty quickly, and he was super informative! He helped us learn that we didn't need to do any immediate repainting (something another company had tried to sign us up for in excess of $10k) and that only one of our fascia needed replacing. The carpenter and painter both came out and were done within only a few hours each and did a great job, it looks brand new. And the paint job on the underside of our eaves is so well done, you can't even tell where it was painted, despite us not having any of the original house paint left for them to work with. Surprisingly great and easy! The cedar shake on the south side of our house had been getting soft for a few years and paint was beginning to peel. I got an estimate over a zoom call (during quarantine) by providing requested pictures. The carpenters came out first and replaced almost the entire side of the house and even did it more quietly than expected. When they were done the only difference was that all the old crap cedar shake shingles were gone and nice new cedar shingles were left behind in their place. A few weeks later the painters showed up and were able to almost perfectly color match against the previous paint ( we were only having the one side painted ) even though we didn't have any record of what the color was. It took 2 days of work but everything was pretty much perfect once they were done. They did a great job taping off around windows and covering the plants under the side of the house. read more

When it comes to paying a big chunk of money for someone to do a project for you, it makes me a bit anxious wondering if it'll turn out to be a complete headache. You can rest easy and know you'll be in great hands with Jeff and his crew! I received 5 different estimates for interior painting and Jeff's was by far the best quote. I felt like others were trying to price gouge me just because we're in Seattle and they drive the price up for everything. Anyway, that's not the only reason I selected Sound Painting Solutions for the job though. Jeff was very personable when he came out for the quote and was always prompt with his email communication throughout. Painting took two days and he reached out to see how things looked after the first day and once the job was complete. Gary, the project manager that led the crew was also so friendly and amazing! I felt completely comfortable asking questions and even pointing out when a line needed to be straightened out. I've gotta say, I'm not in the avid fan category. I was very impressed with their job of vetting the job and setting everything up but the end results were disappointing. I had one room with windows painted shut. The bull nose on the newly refinished floors has smudges where the tape and clean up weren't adequate. I found areas of new construction that were sanded. A room with picture frame molding that was supposed to be brushed was rolled. There was paint on a couple of door knobs and new brass hinges on the front door. They were very nice about coming back and fixing problems but I'd hoped by hiring a highly recommended place, I wouldn't have to ride herd on them. Worst of all, I keep finding little things. Just yesterday, I went to put a decorative outlet plate back on (they'd forgotten four of them) and discovered a drip of paint down the front of it. I'm replacing the cabinet knobs in the kitchen and have discovering places where the new paint is peeling off. Obviously, the doors weren't removed and sanded at their place as I'd been told they would be. I will take them down and sand and repaint myself. I liked them as people. I liked their business structure but I would give the quality of their work a C. (That I would give it a C after stating all of the problems tells you how bad most painting companies are!) Hire them but watch every detail. read more

We booked pre-Covid and I was worried this might set things back a bit, but not at all. Painting happened right on schedule. I saw the painters covering hardwood floors and furniture, but I didn't see them covering the carpets. I should have told the painters to put a cover on the carpets, but I assumed I didn't have to do that since I thought it was common sense. I spent 1-2 hours scrubbing the paint spots on the carpets. Conclusion: This is the first painting company I hired in Seattle so I can't compare their service with other painting companies. I think I'd hire Sound Painting Solutions again, but I'd stay in the condo to make sure they cover important things (especially new carpets). read more

This company really cares about customer service. I hired them to paint my bathroom. The estimate was quick and painless. Deder came out to do the estimate he was nice, on time and gave me a quote same day via email. They sent Stacey out to paint the bathroom. He was on time, kept the workspace tidy and a nice guy to have around. Jeff the project manager was awesome. He emailed me during the project to make sure i was happy and everything was going well. I was pretty happy with the paint job that Stacey did. However, after looking at the paint job a little longer. I noticed some touch ups that did not sit right with me.
