This is my second review for Matt and his crew at Valhalla. If anything, I'm even more impressed by this latest project. They came in to repaint my roof deck and the surrounding walls. Due to dry rot, this also required carpentry work. In just about a week, they replaced about 40-50 rotten boards, painted the deck wood and walls, did other cosmetic repairs, and ensured everything was moved back to where it was when they were done. Their communication was on point and they always showed up when they said they would. Matt goes beyond as well. He makes sure you're aware of all options on how what kind of finishes are possible and why any might be considered. He addressed structural issues caused by the original builders. He also approaches the project in a manner that ensures the rest of the house won't get damaged during the work (in this case, hoisting all the new and old wood off the roof via rope). Matt was amazing! I called him in a panic as I had to let another painting company go after it was clear they did not do professional work. Matt came quickly to give me an estimate, reviewed the "bad work" his team had to fix and gave me a very reasonable estimate. I also have to say, he is very customer focused, which is such a rare find and so appreciated. Matt and his crew did an amazing job painting our 3 story townhome. I was immediately impressed with his attention to detail and his careful explanation while doing the estimate prior to beginning work. He provided a very competitive estimate and was able to fit me into a busy summer work schedule at a time that worked for me and completed the work quickly. I was referred to Valhalla through a longtime Seattle area painting business owner who had very positive things to say about his work. I spoke to a number of other larger painting services that were all significantly higher priced and none of them had the attention to detail and/or thorough communication and thoughtfulness that Matt and his team had. After the job was complete he did a walkthrough to determine if any touch ups were needed at no extra cost and he even went out of his way days later to replace a dryer vent flap that had come loose 36 ft off the ground and even painting over some added security camera wires that were added a couple weeks after the job was finished at no extra cost to me. In the end, I couldn't be more happy with the service Valhalla provided and I will and have happily recommended them to friends and neighbors. Matt and Isaac and Valhalla Painting are a great company and easy to work with. I contacted Matt for some interior painting at my new house. He responded quickly to my initial request for an estimate and was out within a day to give me a bid and sent me a quote the next day. His pricing is reasonable. We originally requested three rooms to be painted plus ceilings as well as matching current paint to patch a drywall issue and fixing nail holes. He was knowledgeable about the type of paint to use and helpful in explaining different types of paint. They were on time and finished within their estimated time frame. Their finished painting job was great and they took great care to cover our new carpets and hardwood floors with drop cloths and worked neatly around our wood trim. Furthermore, I had a second request at the last minute to paint an accent wall and he was flexible and fit in the job.
