    Vinyl tile installation
    Lucienne B.

I'm absolutely delighted with the experience I had with Bella's Flooring. I had my heart set on some vinyl tile from one particular tile company but had no idea how to make my dream a reality. Fortunately, Bella's staff were there to help. They responded extremely quickly to my initial contact, sent a rep out to measure my space, and--since I was buying the tile independently--gave me guidelines for how much to buy to guarantee complete installation as well as backup against any future damage or remodels. The installation was so seamless and fast that I honestly couldn't believe it. It's also so great to support a local family business! I'd rather shop here than at a big faceless chain. Andrey was the absolute best and stayed in contact via text and email at every step of the process. If I have other work that needs to be done, I'd never look anywhere else!

Bella's did a great job for us and we'd happily use them again and recommend them for flooring and bathroom projects. Jeff worked with us diligently to dial in our exact project needs. Alex and Anatoli did high-quality work and were easy to coordinate with. Our only issue is we selected a glass tile for our shower and have learned after that tile was installed that glass tile is very difficult to install shower doors on to. That is not Bella's fault at all, but a lesson learned that I hope others are aware of and plan for. I would suggest looking for ceramic or porcelain tile instead of glass if a shower door will be attached to it.

Our powder room toilet was leaking, and a call to a plumber revealed that the issue wasn't new. We'd had a slow leak in the outlet, and that had caused some damage and contamination in our hardwood floor. I called Bella's to help us figure out what to do, and Bo drew up two quotes for me: replace half the floor with the same wood or convert the bathroom to tile. Even though we took some time to get back to Bo and David, they were extremely responsive as soon as we had tile picked out. The exact tile we wanted was no longer being produced, and we gave Bella's leeway to find us a similar product, but they were able to find our exact tile on clearance and had it shipped in from out-of-state! As soon as the tile came in, they were able to fit us into their schedule on the next day. The demo and thinset pour took one day. The timing on tile varies with how all the materials cure, so they came back the next day to lay the tile, and the day after that to do final grout. Communication and scheduling was always easy and straightforward. Bo came by every day his team was onsite to make sure things were going well and to check in that I was happy with the progress--this has certainly not been my experience with other home contractors. After the floor demo, I noticed some noise coming from my in-floor radiant heating system. I suspected something had happened, and Bo immediately showed concern and empathy. They tore out the ceiling below their work area, and we found that a nail from the original floor had been embedded in the heat tubing. (The hole was straight through the center of the tube, so I'm sure that this was a pre-existing issue.) Even though Bella's didn't cause the problem, Bo did the tubing repair for me and arranged for his drywall installer to replace the ceiling and paint at-cost. In under a week, Bo and David (and the rest of the Bella's team) took care of my floor install and the ceiling replacement. They exhibited a lot of empathy when issues came up, worked efficiently and professionally, and were surprisingly present for what was/should have been such a small job. It's clear that this team cares about their work and their customers, and I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

    Finish on our bathroom doorway.
    Kiersten M.

Now that we've lived with our floors for the past couple of months, we've noticed a lot of finishing flaws that we didn't catch immediately after the work was done -- and we're pretty disappointed with the quality. There's a lot of finish smeared on our walls and doors, drips on the floor, and brush strokes and pooled varnish in several places. We're actually planning to refinish the floors again ourselves in a couple of years and wish we'd gone that route in the first place.

Andrey and Pieter we're very professional and responsive in making sure the leveling pour they did in the bathroom was done right. Would recommend or call again. Thank you guys! Jeff in Ballard

    AFTER

Bo, Alex and their team deserve a 5-star review. I shopped around to other contractors, and decided to go with them because they charged a fair quote, seemed organized, efficient and had a reasonable schedule planned out. I know it's weird to say, but as we went through the project, I kinda felt like I won the contractor lottery. Bo was super responsive to my questions and helping to guide me through some of the things I would need to think about for my bathroom remodel. There were so many moving pieces with the tub, tiles, fixtures, plumbing, but I have to say I didn't run into many hiccups. And the issues we did run into (like replacing a rusted light housing or discovering that my 20 yr old bathroom fan was literally homemade and needed a redo), we problem solved it together efficiently. Like I would run to homedepot to buy the part that morning, and without saying a word, they would have it installed by the end of the day. Throughout the project, they were very professional, focused and empathetic about what I was trying to accomplish. This was a 2 week project (that is FAST for all the work to be done) and my big family was showing up on the day they were scheduled to be done. It was like one of those home remodel shows - my mom came from the airport as they were rushing to clean the work area and all the cardboard out. The end result was perfection and I would not hesitate to recommend Bella's to anyone. Tips: they are moving fast so you can tell when you might be holding up progress - which means when the ball is in your court, you'd better have your selections and parts ready

Lead paint that was underneath carpeting prior to refinishing
    Alicia M.

The Bella's team helped us procure new red oak flooring during a time when shortages and delays had gridlocked other installers we tried working with. They have since worked on restoring and removing the lead paint off our historic Douglas fir floors, replacing carpets, and will install custom built in cabinets as well. A versatile and knowledgeable team, we've enjoyed working with David and Jeff greatly.

The laminate flooring install was defective (bouncing and clacking) because the installer didn't level the floor properly. The sales person I worked with, Michael Hall was rude, took no accountability, and ignored my emails and calls. He blamed the installer, and me for the problems, while he was responsible for the project. I ended up working with a manager, who was better and helped me with a solution but then had to deal with Michael again. I was willing to pay for the fix - leveling the floors (which I eventually did)- Michael just didn't seem interested in dealing with me. He then charged me a credit card fee when I didn't use a credit card. When I noticed this he did not apologize. I pushed him a bit on this, and he was still unwilling to take any kind of ownership for the mistake. The service from Michael was among the worst I've experienced. I spent a lot of money, and he gave me no guidance or assistance on choices or options/pros/cons. The floor issue took months to resolve and the major inconvenience of having my floor ripped up twice. The carpet install has a thin pad with very little cushion, which I only discovered after the install. To top off the bad experience, during the project, which took many months due to a number of factors, my father died. I was visiting him for a long period of time and without conversation, Michael told me he was canceling my project. When I told him my Dad was dying, he carried on without a kind comment. All in, I would avoid Great Floors, and especially working with Michael.

A roll-out drawer is a drawer on full-extension slides. I chose to order these drawers because, besides matching what we already owned, they would be very easy to install, with the hardware matching pre-drilled holes inside the cabinets. The drawers we received had no slide hardware, just the bare drawers. After repeated contacts with Great Floors with no satisfaction to the problem I sent the store manager, ShaunTuck, a demand email that gave him two options to choose from: 1. Return the drawers for a full refund. 2. Great Floors would have the drawers installed in our cabinets at their expense. I never received a reply from Shaun, by phone or email. We also had all of these dishes sitting in our living room creating a big mess. Out of desperation, I began researching what slides would fit these drawers knowing that I would get absolutely no help whatsoever from Great Floors. I ordered suitable slides at my cost ($125). This installation took me a full eight-hour day and required tools most homeowners don't have like a table saw. Spacers had to be cut to exacting dimensions, sanded, finished, and installed. The drawers had to be modified because the depth dimension did not quite fit these slides. During this process, I cut everything exactly and did not have to repeat any steps, so it is representative of what a professional would require in terms of time. The drawers are now installed and working perfectly. This whole episode has taken me six months as I spent a month to even get an order placed with Great Floors because Julie kept ignoring my repeated calls, but I had to deal with Great Floors as they are the only Canyon Creek dealer in this area. Note: I could have ordered bare drawers from other suppliers at less than half the price that Great Floors charged me, mostly because they would have been direct from the manufacturer, WITHOUT the hassle!

I initially contacted them to look at tile for our project, when David and Enzo arrived I was very pleased to discover they did much more than that. They provided a bid to do almost everything to get our house livable, and while we didn't choose them for every line item, we were happy to hire them to do almost everything. David and his team were nothing short of amazing. In just 6 weeks, they transformed our house from an empty shell with painted drywall into a livable home. Their craftsmanship was outstanding - they replaced the subfloor, walked us through acclimating our hardwood floors, installed both LVP and hardwood throughout, helped organize the design and installation of steel railings, and even frameless glass shower doors. Despite my eagerness to speed up the process, they maintained their high-quality standards. They also installed trim and doors throughout, ensuring everything was complete just in time for us to move in before our rental lease expired. Without David and his crew, we would have moved into an incomplete and unsafe home for our 4.5-year-old. We're extremely grateful to have found E&A through Yelp, and I can't recommend them highly enough. They went above and beyond, and this 5-star review is well-deserved

After walking across their showroom (probably about 60 feet) we realized a woman sitting at a computer was speaking to us. She did not offer to help us, but, instead suggested, that we "find something we like and throw it on their floor." We were perplexed. I believe her name was Betsy. She would not get up out of her seat to help us until we went over and asked her to please show us items connected to what we were looking for (luxury vinyl plank) and even then she seemed hesitant to get up. She came over and asked us if we had put the samples on the floor and we told her, "No, these were here when we arrived." We asked about prices, and she insisted we find something we liked and she'd let us know the price. It took entirely too much work to get any information from her. We had to ask her to show us what you have for LVP and ask specific questions (Ie: what brands are at the low end, what are at the high end, tell us about the bevels, etc). Finally, she began to share more information but it was clear we weren't a priority. Being new to looking at flooring, it was quite shocking and we left shortly thereafter. GSF installed wood flooring in four rooms and wall-to-wall carpeting in one room as part of a larger project. GSF wouldn't replace a wall-to-wall carpet that began unraveling two months after they installed it. It was in a lightly-used room that was only vacuumed once. There were foot-long long strands of carpet yarn that were just sitting on top of the bald backing material. GSF said to snip the yarn and not to vacuum. We complained and they sent someone to repair it. The repair person scrunched up the yarn strands and glued them to the backing. The texture of the repaired spot didn't match the rest of the carpet at all. Weeks later the yarn started unraveling in two more places. We asked GSF to replace the carpet. They refused and told us "pulls and snags are to be expected." The first wall-to-wall carpet they installed looked noticeably different on one side of where they seamed it compared to the other side. They did replace this at their expense when we complained, but it delayed the completion of the project by weeks. Two out of the four items we ordered were no longer made, although GSF still displayed them and sold them, or at least thought they could sell them. I called their showroom to find out when it was open. I went there during business hours and the showroom door was locked.
