We went to Carpet to go in Bellevue Saturday, 6/25/2022. We went there namely because it is part of the Costco program for flooring. It was an odd experience, to say the least. Upon entering the store, we heard a voice welcoming us but the only person we could see was helping someone else. The other person being helped and I were the only customers in the store. After walking across their showroom (probably about 60 feet) we realized a woman sitting at a computer was speaking to us. She did not offer to help us, but, instead suggested, that we "find something we like and throw it on their floor." We were perplexed. I believe her name was Betsy. She would not get up out of her seat to help us until we went over and asked her to please show us items connected to what we were looking for (luxury vinyl plank) and even then she seemed hesitant to get up. She came over and asked us if we had put the samples on the floor and we told her, "No, these were here when we arrived." We asked about prices, and she insisted we find something we liked and she'd let us know the price. It took entirely too much work to get any information from her. We had to ask her to show us what you have for LVP and ask specific questions (Ie: what brands are at the low end, what are at the high end, tell us about the bevels, etc). Finally, she began to share more information but it was clear we weren't a priority. Being new to looking at flooring, it was quite shocking and we left shortly thereafter. We had a problem with wavy carpet after 9 years and they came back and fixed it for free just a small charge for furniture moving. Now it's like New!! Very professional and responsive! We definitely will buy carpet here again! read more

This was really a great experience. I am a home handy man and this project was way above my pay grade. From the Sales side to the installation I was very comfortable with this company. The actual removal and install started at 9:00 AM, and was completed at around 6:00 PM the same day... The most impressive part was the attention to detail especially in the baseboard work. Lastly, the product is tough as nails, and looks great especially with the baseboard trim. I am not one to usually say this, but if you can find another company that can do this work cheaper-Don't.. Carpet To Go was great right from the start. Once I placed the order, they let me know the availability of the product I chose and gave me an installation date that was weeks sooner than I had expected. They asked if I would be moving furniture out of the room or if I would need their help and sent me a couple of reminders as the installation date approached. On the installation date their installer was delayed but they let me know when he would arrive. He was pleasant and cheerful, went to work immediately and finished the job in record time, including cleaning up and vacuuming the new carpet (with a really really quiet vacuum cleaner). I was amazed the work could be done so efficiently and so well. The finished job is beautiful, seams don't show at all, there are no longer any gaps between the carpet and the baseboards, and the carpeted floor looks great and feels really good to our bare feet. Now I can't wait for the second phase of my flooring replacement job. read more

Squarely in the realm of first-world problems is the difficulty and complication of choosing an area rug. What color? What style? What type? How can I live with a mistake? And so on. We had put off this decision for months, but since we finally moved back into our place after nine months of fire displacement, we wanted to get to work (slowly) on more proper decorating. Living in an old building with hardwood floors, rugs are pretty but practical too in their noise-reducing capacities, and we also wanted to make the lives of our downstairs neighbors a bit quieter. So we'd looked at many places around town, and either been disappointed with the selection, the price, or both. Enter Carpet To Go. Seeing that a few other Yelpers recommended it was a plus, so we excursed down to SODO one day to check it out. So glad we did! When we walked in, we were nicely greeted by Samantha, who explained how we could go about making our selection either by browsing through the various area rug catalogs or choosing a carpet style to have bound instead. Plus, Carpet To Go has an assortment of remnants (good for smaller spaces) also eligible for rug binding. Though we didn't find a remnant we wanted, we spent some time with the catalogs, and with questions for Samantha, and left with a much stronger sense of what to get. After thinking about it for a few days, we called back, ordered easily over the phone, and had our area rug and runner delivered in a week or so, after picking the carpet pads up at Carpet To Go. The process throughout was easy, friendly, and we ended up paying much less (for rugs we love) than we had anticipated, given the prices we'd seen at other stores. We have at least two more rugs to buy eventually, and as long as they're around, Carpet To Go will be our first stop. read more

warning: this is going to be a maintenance review, you know, one you do because you have to, but not out of sheer joy. I have to, because the service, prices and ease of getting what we needed were top notch so I owe them a review. However, even I can't balance a sexy, funny flooring review that's in the least bit useful, so here goes. We shopped all over town for affordable laminate and found it here. They didn't have most of them in stock, but can order and have in within just a few days. The prices were better than the big guys (Lowe's, Home Depot) and there was no pressure like some of the other flooring only stores. The only improvement I could ask was that there was supposed to be a call to let us know our flooring was in, and somehow that got missed, but it was there, waiting for us and now it's on my floor, making me happy. wait, I could have totally done something with that line, eh? read more

I used Carpet To Go at this location to replace carpet in a flooded bedroom, so the job was small. They came to measure the room, with a $100 deposit that went toward the purchase amount price. A remnant was purchased with a basic pad. The staff seemed knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. The installers were focused, in and out in an impressive amount of time, seemed to have done a very good job, and cleaned up after themselves. They even hauled the soggy old carpet away for a fair price. I got a follow-up call after the job was complete. They were able to measure the room one day and install on the next; however I believe a week's time is more their average which was extremely frustrating in my situation. They were able to be accommodating in my dire living circumstances and saved me a good measure of sanity. And I need all the sanity I can get. read more

After having a pretty bad experience at one of the other major flooring companies, I was leery of yet another flooring stores. But my experience with Carpet To Go couldn't have been much better. My sales rep, Che, was great. He took time to answer all my questions, help me pick out the right products for my difficult job (I live on a houseboat, and it is hard to find anyone that will work on a houseboat), and had great follow-up. We even had a few hiccups along the way (just results of small missteps), and Che and his team worked hard to make sure that everything worked out. I had a difficult job, tight time constraints and was really indecisive on what flooring I wanted. They guided me along, went out of their way to make sure my job could be completed on short notice, and the end result was PERFECT! I will be recommending these guys to all my friends. My interactions with the office were great, but the installation was a mess. We had carpet installed on our stairs. The guy who did the install was very worried about parking, so he rushed the job. Immediately after, it looked the install could have been better, but I figured I would give it time. Also, he left the house a complete mess, and I spent more than 1/2 hour vacuuming up the debris he left behind. Within three weeks, the carpet started rippling. It's getting worse day-by-day while I wait for the installers to call me to set up a time to come back and fix it. I can only hope they do actually get back to me. read more

You need to have peace of mind and a contractor who is professional, trustworthy, and responsive. Carpet to Go is that company.We are absolutely thrilled with our new floors and carpet. The crew who did the installation were courteous, hard working, punctual,  good natured, and thoroughly professional in every way. Jen in the office was equally pleasant to work with and quick to respond to any inquiries we had once the job was underway. Really, the whole experience exceeded every expectation we had. The disruption was minimal and every day, they left our home as livable as it possibly could be under the circumstances. From start to finish, things couldn't have gone any more perfectly. Matt did a terrific job walking us through everything and making suggestions. We appreciated that he had samples right in his vehicle! It saved us having to go from store to store trying to figure out what we needed. Additionally, their website is awesome! You can select a product and then see closeups of it as well as what it looks like over a big space. This came in very handy because they were out of the kitchen tile samples. But I was able to see online what to expect. It was even more beautiful in person! He never tried to "upsell us" which we appreciated, and laid out the pros and cons of the choices in an understandable way so we could make an informed decision. Sitting in my living room enjoying our gorgeous new flooring while writing this review. Yesterday we had our 34 year old, filthy carpet replaced with gorgeous bamboo flooring by Carpet To Go. What a beautiful difference it has made in how our home looks! We had estimates from other larger flooring companies for laminate flooring as bamboo was WAY out of our budget. When Ami came to measure our space (we also had our bedroom done) and show me options she brought a bamboo flooring sample that happened to be on clearance. It was a perfect fit for our home..and only slightly more expensive than the laminates. We were able to schedule the replacement within a week..and although they warned us it could take 2 days, it was finished in one!? I had a few questions during the week, Ami and Ryan took care of them right away. The supplies were delivered the day before, we had reminder calls prior to our install date..and Ami checked in with us during the day of install. We couldn't have had a smoother experience..and our bamboo floors are amazing and really add to our home's appearance (and now value as well.) Thanks to Ami and Ryan at Carper To Go for making it happen!! Also, our installer - Roman was an amazing worker.. like a tornado - he worked so quickly and efficiently. We decided to open up the wall and put french doors between two rooms, and so used Carpet to Go to continue the existing laminate that was in one room into the other. Initially in July, I was told that I had to pay up front, but then had flexibility thereafter about when to schedule the installation. That was fine. Installation occurred in August; however, I was not charged for it prior to installation. Ultimately, my credit card wasn't billed until October after I had followed up in September asking why I hadn't been billed yet (and I didn't receive any explanation for the delayed billing--just noticed it on my statement). While I had the funds to deal with a billing three months after I was told it would occur, others may not. Unfortunately, the installation didn't go quite as planned. The installers were late and didn't call to let me know. When they did show up, they closed off the rooms and began installing. Half way through, we discovered they chose to install the laminate the wrong direction, I think because this would save cutting time. However, since the point of using the same laminate as the other room was to make it appear as if it was one continuous floor, we had to request they redo it, which at first they were not very inclined to do. When they did, they didn't line up the floor between the two rooms so it's slightly off. They also didn't have one final piece to put between the floor and an outside door; they offered me an off-color piece or said they could come back another day and put it in. Given the difficulties in this process, I declined and said I would do it later. Oh--there also was an incident where one worker cut himself and dripped a fair amount of blood on the newly installed floor and onto our bathroom handle and door. It was a little gross cleaning up someone else's blood. As a result, I probably won't use Carpet to Go in the future. I will say that the sales agents I worked with were very friendly, so there's that. read more

This is a review for a special order laminate purchase and installation: I worked with Amy, who was helpful and accommodating. She followed up after providing me with a quote. She provided competitive pricing against another estimate which allowed us to stay on budget. We did have to pay for someone to come out to check out to install site, but that went against the purchase of the laminate. She told us that she would refund the site review fee if we decided to not work with her. The laminate came in perfect and was installed in the timeline as provided by Amy. The laminate installer did a wonderful job and was very meticulous. We are extremely happy with our experience with Amy at Carpet to Go and would work with her again for any future carpet or laminate needs. read more

It's been nearly a year since we had our carpet and tile installed and we are still in love with it. We still receive compliments from friends and neighbors who stop by. The show room was set up nicely and offered a wide range of products including some that we didn't even know existed. Bobbi at the Bellevue store was kind and patient and assisted with probably a dozen different quotes before we finally made our decision. The installers did a great job and worked very hard to complete the project in two days. We couldn't complete our entire house this go around and still have a couple more rooms to go. We ended up at Carpet-to-go by a fluke after trying the other flooring stores nearby and not getting anywhere. We walked in, and in 30 minutes had the flooring samples we needed and a date for them to come out and measure. (They also had tons more samples and flooring types than other companies we checked) They were able to order the flooring, level out our floor, put down the new vinyl and came back a separate day to stretch carpet all in under two weeks. I did call them a couple times a week to touch base with them about the progress and make sure we were still on schedule - they were very nice and accommodating. So 4.5 years ago we purchased carpet thru Costco in conjunction with Carpet to Go. The carpet that was installed was stunning, installation was easy and the entire process went smoothly, start to finish. 4.5 years later our carpet starts to wear and not look very good. I called Costco, they notified Carpets to go. Within 24 hours I had a follow up callback from both Costco and Carpets to Go. Carpets to Go was able to get someone out right away to inspect our carpet. The inspection was super professional and informative. It truly seems as if both of these companies care about taking care of the customer. I am so appreciative! Sometimes it feels like a struggle to get a company to stand behind their product as anyone who has had appliances knows. Yelp deleted the review I wrote. My guess is the owners complained and had it removed. Of course owners don't want ANY bad reviews. Well, I'm brutally honest, and your service was horrible. I sent an email asking for a quote to replace carpet in a room. I use email instead of phone because I want a paper trail. People can lie on the phone or change their story, and with email, I can prove what was said. Betsy replied and said she wanted to speak to me about a quote. I replied and said I don't want to call, send a message. No reply for 2 days. I wrote back and asked if she received my message. She replied only asking what type of pad. No cost or other details. I replied and waited several days to hear back. This was 4 years ago. She never wrote again. Some people will say, why didn't I call? Because I want a paper trail, I want proof of what was said. Spoken words can't be proven. Obviously Betsy did not need my business. She never replied again. Why do you have email then? If you don't want anybod to communicate through email, don't give it! Only give your phone number. Betsy, your email communication skills are HORRIBLE. Because of her, I went with a competitor, and I will never use them again. I still have the email thread from her. She sent ONE reply. Absolutely pathetic on her part. read more

I had scheduled an installation from this company and they contacted me on the installation date and said that they were walking off the job to be scheduled at a, "later time" and required me to pay an additional 20% for them to start work. Understandably, I refused to their extortion and moved to a different Carpet company for my flooring needs and I later found that charged me for the goods and services anyway. They not only did the bait and switch but THEY ALSO committed fraud by hitting the credit card for the transaction. read more

Earnest customer service but poor follow through. The sign on the door looking for carpet installers should've warned me when I went in looking for basement carpet. I placed an order which was delayed 3 times (over a month). They also insisted I would have to visit twice...once for a deposit...once to pay the FULL cost before installation...and then got my credit card number wrong.
