Carpet King recently replaced the old carpet at our house with new berber carpet (Anderson Tuftex "In Rhythm" in color "Coconut Milk"). I visited their showroom in the International District but ended up choosing the "In Rhythm" carpet that I found at the Anderson Tuftex website (including purchasing a sample) and communicating with Lien over email about its availability and pricing. The show room is small so be aware that the carpet choices offered in the show room is going to be limited. I did also get a quote from another highly rated carpet store and ended up choosing Carpet King for the installation. Great communication, no issues with the competent and friendly installation team, and I'm completely satisfied with the carpet installation and our carpet choice. You might have to go find your carpet of choice yourself but definitely visit Carpet King to check availability and get a quote. read more

All around a very good experience. After checking Home Depot and Lowes, we walked into Carpet King in Seattle. Not only did we get help there immediately, we also got a very favorable price quote immediately (we came with our own measurements). And to top it all off, Carpet King was available for installs within days! At Home Depot or Lowes, you first have to find someone to help you, then they tell you that someone has to come out to take measurements and those appointments were weeks out. Obviously, the installation would have been out even further. And prices were not as low as King's. We also checked dedicated carpet stores, but they were in general quite pricy. The actual removal of old and installation of new carpet in two rooms and a small hallway plus closets was done on time, professionally and very fast (less than 3 hours). We recently bought a new house and wanted to get the carpet changed. Since this was my first time, my original plan was to go with Home Depot but then my agent suggested Carpet King. I was initially skeptical about going to Carpet King Especially in regards to quality of service and Carpet. To my surprise they offered a better quality carpet than Home Depot at roughly 20% less price including installation. Given our closing date we also had a special need of getting the installation done over the weekend and they were more than willing to accommodate my request. I had a really poor installation experience with Carpet King. First, the installation guys come as surprise. Our appointment was in the afternoon, but the 3 installation guy show up at 11 am w/o any advanced phone call. 2nd, I don't feel any customer obsession/first spirit from the installation guys. We have a few pieces of furniture in the room. The heaviest one is a 3 seat couch that may be 80 pounds. And one of the guys gave me a cold look and tell me that I am only here to install carpet and I am not supposed to move your furniture. Last but not the least, poor communication. If you have any questions, it is very hard to comm with the installation. Apparently, they got used to working in an empty house w/o any customer nearby. My recommendation, if you want to replace your whole house carpet and avoid the face-to-face comm with the installation, then carpet king may be a good choice for you. But if you just want to install part of your house or if you want to have any comm with the installation. I won't consider carept king. STAY AWAY. read more

Update: I forgot to ask them to install carpet in my walk in closet. I was in a hurry to move in and didn't want to wait for them to order and come back to install so, I had my contractor who was working on other parts of the house to just go to Home Depot to get some ready to buy ones and install it for me.
