They mixed up my order & accidentally gave it to someone else but promptly made a fresh pizza upon request as I was uncomfortable taking the boxes back from the other customer(appreciate them doing that). Best ever vegan pizza! I have been meaning to try for so long and can't believe I've been missing out. It is a tiny food truck in a cool business park--unfortunately with COVID going on, not much is open. We ordered the garlic knots and the supreme pizza. They text you when your order is ready. Came here on a Friday around 6pm, didn't have a line and had our pizzas in about 25mins which i think is reasonable for pizza. The staff were all very friendly and helpful in explaining the menu. They have gluten-free crust which is AMAZING! It's soft and thin and delicious. I would say it was slightly crumbly and stuck to the pizza box a little but otherwise yummy. It didn't taste exactly like pizza dough, more like bread- but I've yet to have a gluten-free pizza dough flavor anywhere in the world. For gluten free crust- I would give it a 4 stars out of 5 stars. The pizza truck is behind buzzmill. There's LOTS of seating outside, lots of cute picnic tables. This is a great place to come on a sunny day. And lil nonnas js 100% vegan! read more

First of all, they have moved and now even closer to us. Second, I've already tried to go back twice this week alone after enjoying pizza from here on Saturday night. The crust, sauce, toppings, cheese - all perfect. I would eat here literally every day if I could but alas, they're closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, followed by super busy Wednesdays. It's simply the best vegan pizza in town. They make their cheese in-house and it's miles better than anything you could source at a store. The dough and sauce is fucking perfect. I'm not vegan myself, so I can confidently say that non vegans who are pizza sluts will still love this place. They have a brick and mortar place called Big Nonnas up north off of tech ridge if that is more convenient for you. I haven't found a better vegan pizza. The tempeh sausage is flavorful with a hint of spice just like the real thing. I'm not sure what cheeze they use but I wish I had a bag of it because it taste like the real thing. The service is always great and the location could not be better. Below average customer experience today. Ordered my HH meal the previous night to make things easy. This didn't happen. Their computer was done, totally get it, things happen. It was clear the worker was stressed out and it showed in how he spoke to myself. I had multiple phone conversations and one in person, each of them feeling like I needed to be careful what I said because the worker was on egg shells. It is true Italian and amazing vegan pizza for the win!! Ordering online was a breeze as was pick up. Glad they offer a half half option so I got to try their Supreme Pizza and Veg Out. Hard to choose a fav because they were both so good. The supreme with its tomato sauce base and "meat" it was more traditional. Their smoky tempeh was meaty and moist! I'm new to the area from NYC and found vegan pizza here so I jumped on it. You have to order online and it was a 60-90min wait. We were there in person and had wine while we waited which was a nice distraction. I don't recall the pizza we got but it did have BBQ tempeh on it. The vegan cheese was pretty stingy and the red sauce ruined it for me, it was sweet and tasted like it was from a jar. I know NYers are picky about the crust but that was tasty so no complaints there. First time down for the supreme, + pineapples and used the home made ranch. loved all the toppings on the pizza the home made cheese was pretty good also. We were all skeptical of the cheese - lots of store-bought vegan cheese doesn't melt, but this cheese had the same texture and taste of dairy. Two of us are not beet fans - at all - and the Meat Out with 'beeteronis' was so good and didn't have much beet flavor. The Supreme was great too. Hands down THE BEST VEGAN PIZZA IVE HAD! I was hoping to try out their Brussel sprouts , but they had ran out before I was able to get me an order. We ordered half a BREAKFAST FOR LUNCH (BFL) and 1/2 VEG OUT (added artichoke hearts) . The pizza was huge, about 8 slices honestly! How absolutely delightful! I've been trying to stay off the stuff (the dairy that is) and it's been hard finding great places to eat out with my non vegan husband. This is it. This is the solution! My vegan cheese slice with arugula and roasted garlic was divine. You could've told me it was real cheese and I would've believed you. My husband ordered one regular slice and one vegan. Objectively, whether vegan or not, lil nonnas is damn good pizza. The fact that it's vegan makes it even better because then you don't need to feel guilty about eating it. The crust is always *chefs kiss*, the sauce is the perfect tanginess, and the cheese always gooey and melty. I am also a big fan of their Sicilian slices which are thick and more focaccia tasting. I have not tried the beetaroni/tempeh but they always look good. I just love the plain cheese (sometimes add mushroom) so much I keep not wanting to stray. read more

So disclaimer I didn't eat the food my daughter and dog did (lol).. so here is a review from my 14 year old and pug: We ordered 2 slices of cheese pizza and they were not the traditional slices at all. They were the fat puffy square slices with a little cheese and lots of sauce. My daughter said that it was really good and one slice was actually what she should have got. The cheese to bread ratio was perfect and the sauce was nice and tangy. Now Helen (pug) loved it completely.. she licked the cheese like no other! I did see the other pizzas and those were the traditional thin crust and they had regular or gf options. Now anysa had regular cheese but I did see they also had vegan options. Next time we go to The Buzz Mill I plan to try the vegan/gf pizza myself. For two slices and tip it was $9.08... so a bit pricey for me.. so makes sense to just buy a whole pizza for $5 bucks more next time. Over all.. it was a cool divey food truck read more

Been trying to find more places that offer plant based foods, but pizza has been hard to come by. I called ahead for pick up, very easy menu on their website. 20 minutes pick up time was reasonable and accurate. When I received my pizza I had to take a look before driving home. The pie looked delicious, and driving home with all those good smells in the car was pretty difficult, I just wanted to pull over and eat it on the side of the road! read more

Hello pizza I didn't even know I was missing. I am a long time vegan and life-long New Yorker. So I ate great pizza my whole life and then quit seven years ago. I have not missed it for the most part because I've had amazing pizza. But what I was missing was plain old NYC slices. I got the cheese slice and the Sicilian. Both hit the spot in a way I didn't know I needed. I went back the very next day for more! Even the smell of the pizza in the cardboard box was on point. Nostalgia. As a vegan, except in the most expensive places, I find that pizza is whole project with lots of toppings. Lil Nonna's is the hands down the best vegan pizza place I've EVER ever had! I gave up looking for a cheese substitute after going vegan because no restaurant could nail it. Time after time, I became disappointed in the unmelted curls that Daiya calls cheese. After coming across Lil Nona's on Yelp, I decided to have a drink at Buzzmills(Grungy, outdoor, super hipster type of place) and get 2/$6.50 pizzas during happy hour(5:00-8:00PM!) I got two slices of Vegan Sicilian Cheese pizza, they came out within 5-7 minutes, and were HUGE!!!! The vegan cheese at Lil Nonna's tastes like a real cheese pizza! Without all the bloat and guilt that typically follows eating a thick crust cheese pizza. The Sicilian crust was so fluffy and not at all doughy... !!!!!!!!!! Ah! This is the best vegan pizza place that I've yet to try. The house-made vegan cheese was so, so much better than others on the market. I work at a pizza place that serves daiya on our pies, and it just doesn't compare. The cheese here is so *sigh* melty and fresh -- and it holds up after refrigeration and reheating. I just ate two leftover slices typing this review and I'm sad I don't have more. And also, the beetaroni! I read other reviews that mentioned the beetaroni, and although I'm not the biggest fan of beets, I ordered this pizza anyway. The beets were so colorful and full of savory flavor. It was awesome to see a fun spin on pepperonis without soy. The crusts were perfect. I watch pizzas cook at work every day and thin crust pizzas often turn out crunchy or brittle. Such was not the case here. I read Austin Chronicle's "Pie Fighters" list and, in an effort to quell our epicurean ways during quarantine, my boyfriend and I decided to order different pizzas from the list every Friday -- on one condition: he REFUSED to eat any vegan pies. As it would happen, L'il Nonna's was my first choice prior to his declaration. In an effort to compromise, I had a few vegan friends over for a socially distant gathering in my back yard to try out L'il Nonna's. We ordered the Beeteroni and Cheese, the Veg Out, and the Supreme. The Beeteroni blew me away! It had an interesting sweetness paired with the savory crust. I could have eaten that entire pie by myself. The supreme was also fantastic, though more traditional. The Veg Out was not my favorite, though my vegan friends seemed to enjoy it. Across the board, the sauce and crust were quintessential New York pizza. Overall, despite being vegan, I found these pizzas to be some of the best in Austin. Also of note, my boyfriend had five slices. read more

So I read the great reviews on Yelp about this place and decided to support & give it a try. Pizza has always been my favorite food before going vegan but I could never create the right vegan cheese at home to give me that same taste. Well Nona's get a 5star for that. The vegan cheese and sauce was superb! However, customer service was not the best and the bread was very soft and soggy. I got there about 10 minutes past opening time and the guy that took my order seemed very annoyed that I was there. Total bummer considering how excited I was to be there:-/. I ordered two slices of The sicilian cheese pizza that they serve during happy hour and it honestly reminded me of grade school cafeteria pizza. We had half veg out with beeteroni added and half pina jalapeño with seitan sausage. Both were delicious, flavorful, and mildly spicy. Beeteroni was amazing. Sausage was tasty too. Pina jalapeño is slightly spicier and cheesier than veg out. Bread is thin and roasted well, not too soft. Eat it when it's hot. read more
