Worst experience I have had as of yet!. @hatclub you were right ! Started today at 11:41 in the morning. I have had an ongoing situation with this company in regards to looking at my account and seeing the amount of purchases I have made to acquire a 50% discount on any caps that are not namebrand and 20% discount to 30% discount on all others. Mind you, just yesterday I purchased a cap at 50% off with no problem and proof of purchase. But for whatever reason today they are not able to look at my account now. The employees at this location did the right thing by getting me to the manager , which was the worst thing for me. I understand Customer Service is a lacking ability in today's generation, but this known "assistant manager" decided to take matters in his own hands by telling me there is no customer service hotline, he does not have a regional manager that he reports to in cases, such as customer complaints And they are not owned by fanatics? After wasting my valuable time for about 30 minutes, moving forward to a client that I have to attend to, I obtained their customer service hotline on Google. Wow, Mr. assistant manager or manager, that thinks he owns the company lol there is a customer service hotline, you do have a regional manager to attend to these matters you are owned by fanatics. This so-called "Joseph" the a.k.a. manager. Goes on telling me that they are not owned by fanatics, but then immediately tells me their own fanatics partially like a percentage. So the manager all of a sudden turned into a Wall Street financial advisor, coincidentally that happens to be my trade. The numbers that we deal with on the regular basis, most people would not be able to comprehend strictly because they don't have the training or experience, and they lack wisdom. But clearly, Mr. Joseph a.k.a. the manager is a attorney/financial advisor/assistant manager/manager. By this time, I'm sure you can feel the sarcasm and the frustration. I am having with this company. Now, the Irvine financial center, and Dryp Industries, Formula G, Scottsdale Custom, insurance industry of Orange County is a small part of what I have. There are many times we have upside clients that could be consist of of a five dollar invoice on up to $100 million portfolio at some point I expect any of my 313 employees to stop go to the person above them and put it on them because they have more experience on how to handle and a few situations such as this or take a look within yourself realize that is not personal. It's not about your feelings and ask the customer. What do you feel the correct solution would be? Joseph a.k.a. the manager just wants to argue and prove the point that this company is not owned by fanatics and he's right he knows everything because he knows how to embroider these ball caps? I'm not really sure will give them the right I don't see a proven track record as such I could be wrong? Between every platform only in Orange County we have around 166,000 followers that will know of this and will probably create a viral video because it's not about money at this point is about the lack of respect. My name is Christopher Cruz. I am the CEO and president of these companies and I highly recommend for Joseph to be seriously reprimanded/ demoted. If I am contacted by corporate to resolve this issue within the next 24 hours, I will be highly surprised so well I will do for my following and any future following. I'm seriously contemplating on investing into a brick and mortar storefront, offering the entire line of all caps, jerseys and accessories with above and beyond customer service and at grand opening, we will be giving away much merchandise for influencers to help us in this journey. If I could give no stars....I would give no stars! Went in on Wednesday to get a hat and decided to get it embroidered. That was the first mistake $15 extra for the embroidery......should've just gone to the Swap-meet , customer service would've probably been better. The machine was jammed so I was told they were going to try and fix it and to leave my phone number so they could call me if they happen to get it done. Never got a call or anything. The blonde girl who took my order said if we don't get the machine fixed today it should be done tomorrow, Thursday. Finally went in Friday to pick up my embroidered hat thinking it should have been done. Right when I walk in 3 out of the 4 employees are on their phones playing games with each other. Nobody was paying any attention to the guest who had just walked right up to their work area. I was looking for my pickup receipt and proceeded to say, "Hi" and let them know I was here for a pickup. One of the girls had her back to me and turned and told me "I gotcha!" She proceeded to look for my hat in their done pile... nothing. Then showed the slip to the same blonde girl who had taken my order Wednesday and asked her if she knew where it was? My hat was on the machine off to the side along with another hat. The blonde girl who took my order was like oh it's here, but then they quickly noticed that it had not been embroidered & started to question who didn't embroider it and fulfill the order. As they began to embroider the hat I realized I messed up and should've just asked for my money back since they as a team couldn't fulfill my guest needs since Wednesday. I waited for my hat to be embroidered which ended up not being the best work with threading off everywhere since it was rushed. Once they finished I asked if I was going to be reimbursed for the embroidering because as a team they didn't know how to communicate and have my order ready for me to pick up because I shouldn't have had to wait for my hat to be embroidered. The blonde girl got really insulted because I said "you guys" didn't know how to communicate to the next team members to fulfill my order & she stated that they aren't responsible for what the next person on shift does or doesn't do. I clearly stated if you guys know how to run your business you would've communicated the things that needed to be done and you wouldn't be on your phones playing games... paying attention to your guests. Lesson learned never buying from a Lids again especially at this location & I will be taking all my embroidering business to the Swap Meet. read more

I came in today to show them the stitch work they did on my hat. I purchased the hat online THROUGH lids and came in to get it stitched with a letter on the side. I was NEVER told my hat would warp from the stitching or that it would become bigger. My hat size has always been the same and my hat fit me BEFORE I had it stitched. I came in to ask what they could do for me as in reimburse me or give me store credit. The manager with the washed out pink hair told me it wasn't her fault and she couldn't do anything for me. DO NOT WASTE YOUR $ here. They will mess your stuff up and say it's not their fault. Unprofessional teenagers are left in charge. read more

I was invisible from the moment so walked in. 3 employees to busy talking about their lives to each other with a full story about 14 people in there and all 3 are at the custom embroidery machine. I had to flag down employees 3 times to get help. The last time I was ready to check out they told me I had to wait cause of the embroidery machine had the register???? DO NOT GO TO THIS LIDS they put more pressure on you to buy than a car dealer does So I usually don't wear hats but I wanted to go in and take a look as soon as you walk in the door they start trying to sell you stuff the guy asked what kind of teams do you like I told him oh dodgers he right away brings over two snap back hats and was said check out these two. I told him that they were nice so he proceeds to tell me about the specials that they had and I was like I want to look at the fitted hats he went on saying that fitted hats aren't good that these two snap backs are better because they could be adjusted so on and so forth in the end I ended up liking one of the snap backs because it had an embroidered signature he told me that hat was 32 dollars me thinking it was a good deal I decided to get it I paid with card I guess you could say I messed up for not looking at the total but it came out to be 61 dollars. It turns out that the guy charged me 32 for the hat 12 for the signature another 12 for the embroidery and then 4 dollars for the type of thread that that my used and then the sales tax. After I saw my bank statement I went back to return the hat because, I didn't request any of that embroidery. he said that I couldn't return it because it was an embroidered hat even though I didn't request that embroidery. Also the receipt for the hat says 30 days to return it but this guy wrote with pen sale is final . So basically he screwed us over. read more

I brought in a hat to have something written on it, and the girl who helped me initially was fine, but the girl that helped me write on the hat was a straight up b****. Super blunt and did not ask for a size comparison at all, it seemed like she wanted us out of the store. So 45 minutes later I come back and the hat is nothing like I wanted it, wrong font and super small you can barely tell it's there. to make things even better, she did not even ask if we wanted a new hat or to swap out the hat and write some thing new on a new one. two thumbs down. read more

My BF and I went into Lids at The Block this afternoon, looking for some UCLA hats. The store was cramped and full of ugly styles. When we finally found a sales associate and asked for something UCLA, she goes "Oh, we don't have UCLA, but we do have Cal." (as if the two are completely interchangeable). I realize that Orange County has a heavy bias toward USC, but come on. If your store is in So. Cal., you've gotta have at least a couple of Bruin items. I will not return to this store. read more

I've customized several hats here. The guy that helped me out did a great job,but when I picked up my hat I had the worse customer service experience ever. When I walked in the employee was loading hats and he didn't even acknowledge me. I waited several minutes before saying excuse me. He finally turned around and attempted to help me. I had lost reciept and he wouldn't help me. I told him that the hats where for my company and that I could provide the debit card I used And my business card. What a horrible customer service experience. I took my hockey jersey here to get some lettering done and was super stoked because the it cheaper than any other place. The guy said he would have it done it done with a hour to a hour and a half and that he would call me. 6 hours later and I still haven't gotten a call. So I show 15 minutes before they are scheduled to close and the store is closed already. I asked the manager if he could please go back inside and get my jersey but he told me that the alarm was set and he couldn't go back and couldn't get it. I work retail and I've closed locations and I know you can re arm the alarm. What an a**hole I've done stuff for my customers when we were closed why couldn't he go above and beyond for me.
