Update: Pretty disappointed with our past few experiences with LEYLA. Today, I had a $50 take-away bill for two meat platters and a Greek salad. The salad was mediocre and needed more dressing. The delicious bread did not come with the red garlicky sauce, which was a shame. The Doner kabob was incredibly dry and pretty inedible; the cucumber dressing didn't even help. So, here I am, out $50, but still hungry. I'd like LEYLA to stay a viable dinner option here in ATC; maybe that means making some menu changes. Either way, I hope management is listening! Really delicious, authentic food. Go the hungry, get an app, like the zucchini cakes, and enjoy the huge portions! While not necessarily "kid friendly," they're very accommodating when I've come in with my two little ones. My only complaint is service can be very slow. Anderson needs more places like this though! We had a delicious carryout dinner last night. Mixed grill for 2 plus 2 appetizers: zucchini pancakes and stuffed grape leaves. Portions were generous including plenty of meat. Leftovers are enough for a second meal. I am so happy to support this local restaurant. We will return soon. read more

I was thoroughly impressed with this place. The best Mediterranean I have had in Cincinnati. Everything was prepared excellently, being both cooked and seasoned to perfection. We started off with the appetizer medley for two, which included hummus, baba ghanoush, acili ezme, lebne, and stuffed graped leaves. Each condiment was full of flavor and the bread served along with it was delicious. We then ordered the zucchini pancakes. They were fried to perfection. The texture of the batter was perfect, being and light. For our entrees, we ordered the chicken kebab, shish kebab, and Iskender kebab. All of the entrees were delicious, and the portion sizes generous. What amazed me was that the only employees working were a server and the owner/chef. Not only was he the only cook in the kitchen, but he was also seating guests, clearing tables, serving, etc. Our server was extremely friendly and polite. Ate at this restaurant last night. Had the dinner for four, assortment of various meats and rice and included a "salad". The salad consisted of chopped lettuce and 4 very thin slices of a tomato for 4 people and hardly any dressing. The meat was OK but well done. Some of the meats were different from what the menu listed. But the worst part came at home during the night. Severe abdonimal discomfort. What did they season the meat with??? Very good food, sometimes the service is a little slow but the food is great. They bring this almost pretzel like bread to your table with this tomato oil stuff and it is really tasty. The falafel is really good here and they have vegan options as well. read more

Give me superlatives to describe this place. My wife and I went there for a weekend dinner, and tried a couple of their mocktails, borek, stuffed grape leaves, falafel dinners, and baklava. The food and the service was simply the best! We noted that Mehmet and Emma added a little personal touch with each guest, taking genuine interest in the guests, something which is extremely rare these days. We really liked this small new restaurant in the Anderson Towne Center. The food was great , the service charming and they took care of the couple who had brought their own wine for a leisurely dinner and the family with two small boys with equal care . What a surprise!!!! Who knew such a gem would be hidden in a strip mall . I ventured to try the lamb with rice and salad and let me tell you it was beyond delicious. Tender and juicy pieces with savored spices. Now be sure to save room for dessert because the Baklava is one of the best I have ever tried including the mother land of Greece!!! The food was great here and the service was excellent. We ordered a vegetarian dish and half way through it there was a pice of lamb. We were disappointed, but we received a free entree and dessert. The staff was extremely nice, and even though there was a mistake in the kitchen, they wanted to make sure that we were happy. I then order the grilled shrimp, which was cooked to perfection and the rice was delicious. Even the bread that we received before our meal came out was delicious. It was hot and fresh. The dessert that we received was fresh and delicious just like every thing else. I couldn't be more happy with the service and the food. I have nothing but great things to say about this place. From the outside I wasn't sure; it was so small and in the middle of Anderson towne center (not exactly the most cultured part of town); I figured it would just be an average meal. I was so wrong. Everything was so delicious. We had the cold appetizer for 4, I had the falafel, and then the baklava and tea to top it all off. The cold appetizer was, simply put, delicious. The hummus and baba ghanoush was the best I've ever! I really loved the eggplant in sauce also, I couldn't stop eating it. Even when I was already feeling full from just this appetizer, I kept coming back for more because it was so delicious and any extra calories at this point was just worth it. If you come and get an appetizer, get this one, because all of the flavors are great together and no one is better than the other. You'll practically lick the plate clean. The bread they provide is out of this world. So warm and flavorful. The vegetarian falafel was also delicious, and the baklava was, as much as I hate to sound like a broken record, the best I've ever had! If you're coming on a night that you'd expect a restaurant would be busy, you should probably make a reservation. There aren't a ton of tables, so without the reservation you may be waiting a while. Also, they do not serve alcohol but you are welcome to bring in your own! If you forget to, cvs is always right across the street and Kroger next door. Seriously get here as quick as you can. This is the best Turkish food in the city, no doubt about it! read more

My husband and I were excited to see this restaurant go in and eager to try it once it opened. We ordered it takeout and it exceeded our expectations. I am pretty picky about Mediterranean food, and this was delicious. I got the chicken kebab grill dinner and my husband got the meat platter for 1. Sometimes takeout orders get skimped on, but the portions were large and allowed for leftovers. Both dishes were great, tasted authentic, and cooked perfectly. The flavors were incredible. We also got the appetizer medley that had hummus, baba ganoush, acili ezzme, and lebne. Not sure which was the yogurt dill sauce of the latter of the 2 in the medley, but it was unlike anything I've tasted!!! All of these dips were phenomenal with their take on pita. Their pita is a delicious dense roll which was awesome. The only complaint is that they forgot to put the stuffed grape leaves in with the order. Eager to try these when we go back. The dips were also a great addition to the meat selection, especially the chicken kebab. Excited to have an authentic place that has great, fresh food. Very good Mediterranean restaurant. The owner served us bec/ their regular servers were out of town. We were given complementary Turkish hot tea with our meal. The cold appetizer plate for 2 was very delicious. Instead of pita with their dips, they serve a more fluffy bread/roll which is very soft and hot. We also split the falafel sandwich, which the owner graciously cut in half and served on separate plates for us. I'm used to falafels that are small round patties or meatball sized rounds. Their falafel was formed into one continuous rod, which was different. The eggplant dip in particular was excellent. read more

I have been driving by Leyla for months meaning to stop and I am so glad we finally made it there for dinner. Every dish we ordered exceeded our expectations. The hummus was easily the best hummus I have ever had. We also had the mixed grill for two, which for the price and variety of kebabs you get to try, is amazing. I tried Doner for the first time 4 years ago when I was in Europe. For someone who was used to more American styled restaurants, it was a little intimidating, but I fell in love. I haven't been back to Europe since then, and have never found a comparable quality in the U.S. That is, until now. This restaurant is phenomenal! The staff is friendly, the food is delicious. The building is nothing special, but I don't go to restaurants for the buildings. I highly recommend the mixed grill plates, especially for your first time. And DEFINITELY get the hummus! read more

Maybe we came on an off night and it was a fluke, but service was sooo slow and chaotic when we dined in. It took far too long to both be acknowledged/order drinks and to receive and pay our checks. It just felt like no one really knew what was going on at our table and we had multiple people taking care of us. Very frustrating, good service is important to me. The most irritating part of this was we noticed they had added gratuity to our check without letting us know- there were only 4 of us at our table!! I can understand added gratuity for larger groups, but for a table of 4? Food was good- this is the second time we have dined here (first time we did carry out). I got the gyro kebabs both times and thought they were very good and flavorful! I would probably do carry out next time and avoid the issue of slow service. read more
