It's a beautiful little unassuming restaurant about 15 minutes away from Niagra Falls. The place…read morewas very clean and the staff was extremely sweet. We ordered the papaya salad, vermicelli combo, and the beef pho combo. The papaya salad was extremely disappointing. It wasn't quite Thai style and it wasn't quite Vietnamese style. It was a blend of the two and turned out sweet and nutty. It was misssing a lot of the elements that made papaya salad normally so satisfying and refreshing. There was no sour, no savory, and no kick at all. The vermicelli salad was not good at either. All of the meats were overcooked and lacked any flavor. The shrimp in particular was rubbery and barely paletable. The egg roll tasted like cheap Chinese restaurant eggroll. They also left the eggroll whole so I had to rip it to pieces by hand. The dressing was very mild and did not bring out any other flavors in the dish. Instead, it watered down any flavors that may have been there. A dash of strong fish sauce could have made the dish do-able, but when I asked for some, they brought out more of the weak dressing that the dish came with. The only saving grace was the pho. It wasn't top notch but the broth was a good mix of herbal and beefy and hit the spot. If you come here, just get the pho and save yourself the heartache and disappointment. My wife was so disappointed that after we left, I ordered papaya salad from Mandalay Restaurant down the road so she can get her papaya fix. To the restaurant, you guys have such a nice spot. Fall in love with your food again and bring forth some bold and authentic flavors. It's easy to get complacent when you are one of a few spots that have this type of food. You are unique enough to stand out in Buffalo, New York, but these dishes and flavors won't fly anywhere else. I know you are better than this.

Service was super slow. Food order was wrong upon delivery and it tasted bland. The tea was food…read morethough.

The best things in life are not free And neither are me and…read moreBarbie I met some men, Canadian So I flirted, and made one Go buy me drinks from Mr. Tea I actually ordered three teas, but they Missed A Tea, and I ended up with two. I was thinking of getting multiple drinks at this location but I didn't really love it and service wasn't too good to be honest. A little bit aloof and all over the place. The drink was okay but I didn't get through much of it. The milk tea has a little bit of a weird taste - I wanted to get a fruit tea but I was a little bit caught in two minds, so I might try one of those next time I'm in the area. The decor is really nice and definitely the best in town. There are lovely big bears on the floor and it's just a very well put together a little shop and super nice. I just wish the milk tea blew me away a little bit more so that I could give five stars. Still, I definitely enjoyed my visit here and it was excellent inventive Decor - but the service was nonchalant and lacking and not particularly interested and they were very quiet for the whole time so I was a little worried about their lack of business. Still - I'm happy that they were open when I was here, drinks and service definitely scores 4 stars. There's not a lot of great boba in St. Catharines so it's definitely a pretty decent standard. If it was in Toronto it might score less. One thing though. I thought Mr T worked for the A-Team. What do I know.

I purchased a groupon - High Tea and signature drinks for 2; $41. Pretty cheap for high tea in…read morecomparison to other places in NOTL like Prince of Wales. I took my mother for her birthday, walking in it felt very quiet and strange. By that I mean it was very empty even tho they said they were fully booked that day and only had 3 pm available. Music was playing for the first 10 mins and then it stopped. It was dead silent for about an hour... very awkward. The decor is cute, the tea was nice (can't go wrong there), loved the signature drink (iced green tea peach), but as for food... the sandwiches were lacking filling and the pastries were very stale. We ended up going to another restaurant right after because we were left really hungry. I would consider coming back here to try to waffle and some bubble tea, however I definitely would never come back for high tea.

It took us a long time to get to TEAliSe as we picked the River Road over the QEW. Google maps…read moresuggested the QEW as a 50 minute drive. Our trip on the more scenic River Road was one hour and 40 minutes, and there was no delay at the Peace Bridge! It was not difficult to find TEAliSe, but it is not in the city center of Niagara on the Lake. It is in a relatively plain building; it's very small. There is a parking lot that holds 4 cars. There were not 4 occupied tables when we arrived so I am assuming at least two of the slots were filled by employees' cars! We tried to make a reservation, as mentioned both on their web site and on the Groupon. There were no reservations available via the Internet so we called and were told nothing before 3 p.m. today. When we arrived exactly at 3, there were two occupied tables out 8(and two were high-tops). The customers at both of these tables were nearly finished. The calendar on the web site apparently does not work. One pays at the register. When I approached it to tell the hostess/server that we were there, her first question was to ask for my coupon(if one makes the full price purchase on the web site for $29.99/each for high tea, a voucher is issued). I handed her my Groupon; her next statement was to tell me taxes were not included!!!! The Groupon was supposedly worth $85.00/Canadian for 2. This was confusing since the high tea is $29.99/each. The Groupon says one is entitled to "signature champagne teas for two". We were served a champagne flute of raspberry iced tea, each with two frozen raspberries in it. No alcohol in it! Hardly a "signature" drink for the extra $25.00/2. Next out were our carafes of hot tea. We picked our flavors from the many canisters along the wall of teas and rooibos available. Mine was a chocolate chai. It was nice, but I did add sugar. The carafe holds 700-800 ml of tea, so about 6 teacups per person. The three tiered tray arrived. 3 small finger sandwiches for each of us on the bottom; a mini scone with clotted cream and jam and a tiny fruit tart in the middle, and a mini lemon cheesecake, a cookie, a mini vanilla cupcake with chocolate frosting and a blueberry on top and a tiny ramekin with creme brûlée in it on the top tier. It was nice. No atmosphere, no tablecloths, no linen napkins, nothing to look at from our window seat and most of all, not a chance it was worth $85.00 for two. I never saw a receipt so I do not know on what number the tax was based or how much tip should have been left. It took us one hour and 40 minutes to get there and just under an hour to eat everything, even trying to eat slowly. I am glad this was a Groupon purchase as it cost less than the $51.00(C) for "$85.00" worth of tea and high tea foods with the exchange rate. One more thing, the "ad" on the Groupon site shows a beautifully set table with a white tablecloth. This is a major misrepresentation of the actual tables at TealiSe.
