Really lovely place in Niagra. Would def recommend for the coffee lovers and if you're just looking for a chill place to relax. Tried to go to a fancy French place, not too far away, but they had a weird reservation system where you had to pay $10 to add yourself to a waitlist. Wasn't sure what that was about so we decided to kick it over at the Queen Bean Cafe and was super happy we did. Came here with a small group of 6 and snagged a sweet circular booth in the corner of the place. It's super cute with creative decor and really considerate people. Their coffee is great. We all enjoyed various sandwiches and wraps; everything was tasty. I'll def be back here on future trips to Niagra, not just cause their coffee is probably the best in the area, but also because they're just plain nice people. The puns are an extra bit of fun, but me and the group left really satisfied to stumbled in. read more

Queen Bean Café was my family's last stop of our weekend trip to Canada, and it certainly allowed us to end our trip on a high note. Our visit was a little over a month ago, but my memories of Queen Bean are still fresh in my mind as it was a nice and memorable experience. It was a quiet Sunday afternoon in Niagara Falls, and my boyfriend and I wanted to fuel up before hitting the road back home to the US. It was a little too late for brunch, but we didn't want to eat anything too heavy. I went with the Montreal smoked meat sandwich and he got the turkey & Havarti. I loved the cranberry aioli on the turkey & Havarti because it gave it just the slightest Thanksgiving vibe and it was perfect. I also ordered a cappuccino for dessert so I could stay up to keep my boyfriend company on the drive home. The cappuccino came with the cutest mini biscotti which was an adorable touch. Just when we thought our meal was over, one of the workers came out from behind the counter to offer us a pastry, just because! It was so kind of her to do that, and the maple pecan pastry she gave us was delicious. We had already planned on buying pastries to take home, and this sealed the deal. In addition to the maple pecan pastries, the spinach and feta ones were also amazing. If we didn't have a schedule to stick to for the day I could have spent hours at Queen Bean. The café is set up similar to an old-school diner. The booths were comfy and the exposed brick combined with the wall art gave the space a nice, cozy feel. There was a small seating area without tables toward the back of the room for people there to hang out, too. I loved everything about Queen Bean and would love to make a stop here again during our next trip to the Falls. Thanks to the staff for making us feel at home and being so friendly. I guess by the rave reviews I was expecting something a bit more mind blowing but, and this pains me to say, Queen Bean Cafe didn't quite get me there. It's a pleasant cafe with sandwiches, coffee beverages, bagels, baked goods, etc but nothing out of this world awesome aside from the super lovely service. The food we had was "A-OK" but I actively did not care for my cold brew coffee (I hate to admit that I took three sips before dumping it out) as it felt more like an iced regular brewed coffee, not cold brew (which, since it's brewed with different process, has a different flavor profile) that was a bit watered down. I had a bagel with lox and it did the trick but the lox was a bit fishier tasting than I like my lox to be. My husband had the breakfast sandwich and he liked it but it wasn't craving another. The cafe itself is super cute though, and makes for a lovely place to enjoy your beverage or meal. As I mentioned, the staff is awesome and you can tell they really care about the folks that come in. I'd just recommend maybe rethinking the approach to the cold brew (they did have a nitro on tap which maybe I should have tried) and tweaking the sandwiches a bit. Generally speaking it did the trick but I'm not clamoring to go back. read more

Very nice location and setup, and the staff was very welcoming. My husband had a coffee and peameal sandwich. It had nice peameal, melted cheese, and a sweet mustard sauce, but came with no sides. It was good, but overpriced. I had the breakfast sandwich and the croissant bun was great. I did however, order mine with sausage and was served one with bacon. I'm not that picky so ate it anyways. Because of the great croissant bun, I would say it's fair value. I ordered a tea to go with my sandwich, and was disappointed by the selection. It was standard, but not in a good way. They also only have regular sweeteners and not Splenda, so I had to have sugar. (I won't touch sugar twin or equal. Gross.) All in all, not bad. We'd actually give it a 3.5 star but because of the tea and overpricing of the sandwich don't feel it deserves a 4. read more

Having sampled lattes and breakfast sammiches from this local shop twice, I would consider this a regular stop if I lived here. Yesterday, the wife brought back breakfast sammiches and a vanilla latte. Heavenly. Today, since we are sight-seeing, we went to the shop. It's quaint and roomy with seating options to hangout or do work. We also sampled their muffins - blueberry and cranberry-orange - and found them to be heavy and thick. More like cake. Still wonderful and a bit moist but if you are looking for light and fluffy, these aren't your muffins. Go here and do it often! read more

Stopped in here after checking out the waterfalls. It has a very laid-back atmosphere with it's old school music, brick walls and metal gates. I got a Power Me Up breakfast sandwich which has bacon, guac, cheese, and egg on an English muffin. It came out quickly and still hot, and tasted pretty good. The free WiFi and friendly servers just seal the deal for me. I'd love to come back with a book next time. read more

Super affordable spot for breakfast. I wasn't expecting much in terms of food, but the "power up" sandwich was impressively delicious. I got a vanilla latte with it, which i also really enjoyed. Service was friendly and helpful, and the building offers a cozy/homey vibe with plenty of table space. They also offer crayons, coloring sheets, and tourist magazines for free. Cute quaint casual. Very affordable out of the way from the over-priced busy main streets. Close to the Megabus station too! The cider is very good. It's strong and sweet. The Canadian Pizza was also very filling. The server was quite accommodating with replacing mushrooms on the pizza with arugula and spinach. The power me up bagel was also quite flattering to look at. It kind of looked like a rainbow when cut. Overall, a good experience. A nice comfortable lunch with a cozy atmosphere. This place is an amazing, quaint little jewel. We are tourists from the States who were looking for a quick lunch and stumbled on the Queen Bean Cafe, and it made our day!!! The food is transcendent, we started with the maple cannoli which was a perfect blend of maple and decadence, then moved on to the real star of the afternoon, Montreal smoked meat!!! This sandwich was phenomenal, the melted cheese!!! The perfect, zesty sweetness of the honey mustard, the delicious meat!!! There are two things you need to do in Niagara, see the Falls and go to Queen Bean Cafe! You will enjoy this well-decorated eatery immensely. I'd give it 8 stars if I could. Great prices. Great coffee. Great tea. This is an all around good place. Ots right around the corner from where we are staying too so that is a bonus. The barista was knowledgable and friendly. Our drinks were made promptly and accurately. I had the London Fog which was fantastic and my wife had a Caramel Macchiato which she said was also very good. The waitress served our sandwich and while doing that, she dropped the sandwich on the table(which was rather unclean, with spots) and she didn't even ask sorry, let alone pick the sandwich up and put it back on plate, or switch it for another fresh one. The nitro cold brew is unpleasant and chemical tasting. Don't get it. We enjoyed a bagel with salmon and cream cheese. The bagel was toasted well and they didn't overload it with cream cheese like a lot of places do. But for heavens sake don't drink the nitro brew. read more
