Super cozy vibe and cool art
Abby L.

Queen Bean Café was my family's last stop of our weekend trip to Canada, and it certainly allowed us to end our trip on a high note. Our visit was a little over a month ago, but my memories of Queen Bean are still fresh in my mind as it was a nice and memorable experience. It was a quiet Sunday afternoon in Niagara Falls, and my boyfriend and I wanted to fuel up before hitting the road back home to the US. It was a little too late for brunch, but we didn't want to eat anything too heavy. I went with the Montreal smoked meat sandwich and he got the turkey & Havarti. I loved the cranberry aioli on the turkey & Havarti because it gave it just the slightest Thanksgiving vibe and it was perfect. I also ordered a cappuccino for dessert so I could stay up to keep my boyfriend company on the drive home. The cappuccino came with the cutest mini biscotti which was an adorable touch. Just when we thought our meal was over, one of the workers came out from behind the counter to offer us a pastry, just because! It was so kind of her to do that, and the maple pecan pastry she gave us was delicious. We had already planned on buying pastries to take home, and this sealed the deal. In addition to the maple pecan pastries, the spinach and feta ones were also amazing. If we didn't have a schedule to stick to for the day I could have spent hours at Queen Bean. The café is set up similar to an old-school diner. The booths were comfy and the exposed brick combined with the wall art gave the space a nice, cozy feel. There was a small seating area without tables toward the back of the room for people there to hang out, too. I loved everything about Queen Bean and would love to make a stop here again during our next trip to the Falls. Thanks to the staff for making us feel at home and being so friendly. Extra kindness goes a long way and is always appreciated!

Chocolate, apple and amaretto cakes. All very good

So good, I didn't expect this from a small city cafe. Cakes are delicious and they have plenty of coffee options as well. Definitely a great stop on your way to the falls. PS: ice cream was way too sweet for my taste.

Very nice location and setup, and the staff was very welcoming. My husband had a coffee and peameal sandwich. It had nice peameal, melted cheese, and a sweet mustard sauce, but came with no sides. It was good, but overpriced. I had the breakfast sandwich and the croissant bun was great. I did however, order mine with sausage and was served one with bacon. I'm not that picky so ate it anyways. Because of the great croissant bun, I would say it's fair value. I ordered a tea to go with my sandwich, and was disappointed by the selection. It was standard, but not in a good way. They also only have regular sweeteners and not Splenda, so I had to have sugar. (I won't touch sugar twin or equal. Gross.) All in all, not bad. We'd actually give it a 3.5 star but because of the tea and overpricing of the sandwich don't feel it deserves a 4.

Super affordable spot for breakfast. I wasn't expecting much in terms of food, but the "power up" sandwich was impressively delicious. I got a vanilla latte with it, which i also really enjoyed. Service was friendly and helpful, and the building offers a cozy/homey vibe with plenty of table space. They also offer crayons, coloring sheets, and tourist magazines for free. It was a great spot to sit and strategize for the day in Niagara Falls.

Cute quaint casual. Very affordable out of the way from the over-priced busy main streets. Close to the Megabus station too! The cider is very good. It's strong and sweet. The Canadian Pizza was also very filling. The server was quite accommodating with replacing mushrooms on the pizza with arugula and spinach. The power me up bagel was also quite flattering to look at. It kind of looked like a rainbow when cut. Overall, a good experience. A nice comfortable lunch with a cozy atmosphere. Perfect for the cold Canadian winter!

Located a block away from ICBC, great cute corner shop. Super friendly staff, eager to help with everything you ask! Cold brew is definitely on point. We pleasantly enjoyed the red velvet cake. This would be a great place to study for midterms, I'll definitely come back again!

We came for breakfast on a Sunday morning while visiting Niagara Falls. We had no trouble with parking or finding the cafe. The inside of the cafe was very welcoming and decorated nicely. The service was great, as well as the food and coffee! If you're looking for a good breakfast spot, definitely come here! Everything was so good!!

Great prices. Great coffee. Great tea. This is an all around good place. Ots right around the corner from where we are staying too so that is a bonus. The barista was knowledgable and friendly. Our drinks were made promptly and accurately. I had the London Fog which was fantastic and my wife had a Caramel Macchiato which she said was also very good. Everything is very reasonably priced.

Service could have been better, the food was decent. A little pricey for the quantity of food you get.

Montreal sandwich

We went to Niagara Falls and we are looking for a quick lunch so we found this cafe through Yelp app. The staff is very friendly. They have soups, salads and sandwiches and also coffee. I ordered the Montreal sandwich and was delicious. The meat was very tasty and it combines very well with the cheese and like a sweet mustard that they added. They toast the bread so I have to say that the sandwich was awesome. They are a little slow preparing the food but for my experience when a restaurant takes time to prepare a dish is because is home made and were be good.

What a cute spot for coffee and breakfast!

This appears it was because there is no hostess and the servers are doing it all themselves, so they continued to take orders and bring out items for those already seated before showing us to a table. Once at the table the initial ordering and bringing of the food was fine. We then proceeded to wait an excessive amount of time as our waitress went from table to table checking on everyone else but never even looked our way so we could flag her down to let her know we were ready for the check. Not sure if it was an understaffing issue or what but the service left us disappointed with our experience. The only reason the review is 4 stars is because the food was that good!

Lol you're advised of this when entering and with signage around the restaurant. There's a very limited menu. After getting our coffee (and a couple refills), the Chef yelled over asking what we wanted. Very casual. Well our breakfast were not only reasonably priced($6.99 canadian) but also huge. All made to order down to the potatoes being cut up individually with each order. Crazy as it sounds though was the Italian bread toast served with breakfast. It was outstanding! We even inquired where they purchased the bread and we made a stop there after finishing our breakfast. Overall, great food, reasonable prices, and a welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be returning. 2023-97

The buffet is exactly what you expect (except no waffles, just pancakes?) I did avoid the flat eggs, they were just always rubbery and dry. But the omelets were great and the server really awesome attitude. Some dishes were slow to be replenished and sometimes they ran out of bowls for awhile, even when not super busy. The drink glasses can be difficult to get to as well. But you get fruits, yogurts, bacon, sausage, potatoes, pancakes, even a salsa bar thing. Good convenient way to fill up if you are already at the hotel. You don't really get a clear falls view with the trees that low, but you still see the river and it's better than 90% of any hotel view you can find for breakfast. It's a toss up on whether room service or buffet is preferable.

Pretty easy to find, the restaurant is located inside the strip mall, so there was plenty of parking available. The outside is a little deceptive, because the inside looks much more elegant. I was one of the first people in in the morning, so coffee was fresh and hot. This place was very reminiscent of a American Diner, and felt very much like home. The lady there went out of her way to make me feel right at home, as if I was having breakfast in someone's house. One thing you should make sure of, is either bring Canadian cash, American cash, or a Canadian debit card. They don't accept credit cards or American debit. The food was great, my eggs were perfectly. The French toast was on point, and the bacon was crispy. Bottom line? Next time I'm in town I will definitely try this place again for breakfast, and might check it out for lunch!
