It's not a full-service restaurant; instead, you place your order and pay for it and then the food is brought to your table. I decided to try the Philly Steak Hash because how could I not? It arrived to the table piping hot and sure looked promising. And indeed, it's a decent concoction. The melted cheese and plentiful (and tender) beef was as delicious as you'd hope, while the almost insane amount of potatoes provided a good base for the whole thing. The ambiance was pretty cute and fun, but we were left scratching our heads over the lack of music. The place was dead silent, which made us feel a little awkward. Given the diner vibe, we figured there'd be '50s music playing or something. Other than that, The Donut Diner is a pretty cool place. The absence of actual donuts is fairly baffling, though.
