SOS Handyguy Solutions did an exceptional job on our bathroom remodel. Their work was meticulous and their bid was significantly lower than their competitors. The bathroom they worked on was hideous prior to the remodel, and the transformation after they completed the job was absolutely miraculous. They replaced the tub, the linoleum, the vanity, created a linen closet, reframed the window and installed a new mirror. Ray was so helpful and responsive to questions, and was unbelievably kind. We only had a week for them to complete the work before new tenants moved in, and he went to countless Home Depot's looking for the new tub we needed. He paid for supplies out of his own pocket and was fine with waiting for reimbursement for a couple of days. He and his crew worked from 9 am to 6 pm on Thanksgiving to make sure the job was done in time. He did everything in his power to make the process easier for us. As a property manager, I've encountered some amazing contractors over the years, but Ray blew them all out of the water. He really went above and beyond to provide the best work possible. We were really pleased with our experience working with Ray and his guys. It started when we were dealing with a few issues - window and electrical, and Ray was quick to respond, then come out to assess the situation. At that time, we showed him some kitchen upgrades that we were going to want done and asked him to quote the work as well. At that time, he provided some recommendations for us to consider in re-designing the kitchen that we hadn't thought of. We appreciated his vision and found his quote to be reasonable, so we went with him for both projects. As an aside - there were two other contractors I spoke with and getting a quote from both of them required multiple follow-ups over the course of a few weeks. Again, Ray was quick to respond and offered a quote shortly after his visit. Over the course of the projects, Ray was always communicative as to when his guys would be at our place, and in some cases, managed us to make sure we were on track for making decisions. He was extremely consultative throughout the process, and sensitive to quickly wrapping up so we could get on with life again. And, we're very pleased with the end result! We hired him to work on a small bathroom. The job involved replacing the flooring and subfloor, vanity, mirror, light and painting. It took him over a week. This should have been a two day job. He never showed up on time and frequently sent other people, some of whom couldn't speak English. The quality of the work was bad. Paint lines were messy, plate covers, shelves, even the toilet was installed crooked. The killer though was the faucet installation. His worker installed it with the hot and cold on opposing sides. I have just been blown away! Sent out a request for a small job to have an outlet installed in a bathroom, low on the wall close to the toilet. We are having an electric toilet installed at a later date. Level Up Construction was one of the companies who the request was sent to. They just left and did an amazing job! Installed the outlet (of course had to cut into the drywall to fish the electrical lines). When they called me to look at the completed project they had fixed the holes and I couldn't tell they had ever cut into any of the wall! I thought we would have to have another person come and fix the drywall and they did it all! No painting, no nothing else. Totally amazing! I wholeheartedly recommend Level Up Construction. I hired this contractor because originally I liked his responsiveness. The first phase-contract work was fine. After I hired him for a second phase of my home renovation, his responsiveness and communication lessened and change orders increased. He also seemed annoyed and insulting to me at times to deal with my questions and requests for progress updates. The technical work was fine- there were a few issues with the crown moulding. He gives you an accurate estimate, which can't be valued enough (our previous contractor substantially underbid all other contractors including Ray but ended up charging us more than Ray would have).
