Our guest bathroom was unusable from the time we purchased the house. The floor tile/base boards warping, cracking and awful smell. We obtained four estimates and Kevin's team came in at a reasonable cost (and locally owned). Kevin helped us with our vision, connected with his shop to pick up color/patterns of cultured marble and assisted in identifying a specific thermostatic valve. Kevin's estimate was right on point and did not include any cost surprises. About a year and a half after the work was completed, one of the towel racks became lose and we were concerned that it was an installation issues... Kevin's team promptly came out and repaired (turned out the rack had proper fasteners and installed correctly so damage was our fault). Really happy that we went with a local contractor who knows these homes really well! read more

Kevin and his crew did a complete kitchen remodel for us, as well as replace all interior doors and trim. We obtained multiple bids before choosing Diablo View Construction. His bid was competitive, but unlike other bidders he doesn't nickel and dime you on every detail or simple change. He made the whole project easy for us and finished the work in record time based on our experience with previous projects. The crew started demo on a Monday and by Friday we had the first city inspection. Six weeks later the project was complete with all appliances in, custom cabinets installed, new tiles and countertops in. They even worked some weekends. The whole crew were really great, expert, timely, and very easy to have in the house. They were friendly, honest, responsive, and experienced. His cabinet maker is local and delivered a great design, timely delivery and was very responsive. His countertop fabricator also did an excellent job. The interior doors were well made by a local fabricator. Expert installation and painting of the doors by Diablo View. They all look amazing and make such a difference to the house. I really recommend them and plan to use them for any future projects. read more

I have nothing but positive things to say about the entire experience. Diablo View Construction built an interior wall as well as installed recessed lighting on the top floor of our home in Clayton. Kevin was quick to respond to our inquiry and even quicker to making it happen - only 2 weeks from call to completion! Cannot built that kind of lead time. Pedro was diligent and precise with the construction of our wall and was careful to cover our entire house in plastic covering prior to texturing the wall. Cannot recommend more. read more

Diablo View Construction has completed two projects for us. The first was a full kitchen remodel, removing a wall, adding 1100 sq ft of tile flooring, installing a new front door, and removing the fireplace brick. The second was a complete remodel of our master bath 8 years later. I have nothing but good things to say about DVC, the vendors they partner with, and the quality of work performed, are all top notch. Both projects were completed within the original timelines. The DVC crew was flexible when I changed my mind about various design aspects along the way. When I had a question or concern, Kevin got back to me right away, often coming by the same day, if needed. 8 years later, our kitchen, and other work done, is still going strong without any issues. read more

Kevin and his team of professionals are amazing. My bathroom was converted years ago to a Handicapped bathroom, to accommodate my late husbands ALS. I had no closest anymore, a roll-in shower and a very awkward set up, with literally no style or design. Although I would do that all over again for my amazing husband, I needed a change. After 7 years of painful memories, lack or storage and no closet space, I received bids to re-do the bathroom and decided to go with Diablo View. They were not the lowest $, nor were the the highest $, however they seemed to be the most honest about guiding me through the process, giving me realistic time frames, showing on site when they said they would and going the extra mile. I was looking at my my finished Bathroom and my amazing closet and I was so happy. Bitter sweet of course, but I could not have been more pleased with the level of communication, service, and quality of construction. I highly recommend Diablo View Construction! read more

Kevin and crew have completed many projects in our home to our complete satisfaction. Most recently they repainted the living room, hall and a bedroom. I have never seen anyone paint as efficiently and meticulous as Pedro! Kevin presents a comprehensive proposal, easily accommodates changes or additions all the way through (including re-painting when I gave them the wrong color!). Very professional and knowledgeable with good solutions to make ideas come to fruition. We have referred Kevin to many friends who in turn have hired him and been equally pleased with his work. We are excited for our next big facelift, which will be exterior siding and paint. There is no contractor we trust more! read more

Kevin and his team of professionals transformed our old, out dated kitchen to a beautiful, modern farm house kitchen. He took our ideas and made them a reality. I found them here on Nextdoor through a search that someone else initiated. 16 different households all told the same story . I am here to add my name to that long, long list of satisfied customers. He showed up everyday on time and cleaned up after themselves when the days work was complete. He stayed on task and on budget. He surrounds himself with quality people and businesses like Ed at Precision Cabinets in Brentwood. They brought to life whats new and innovative in kitchen cabinetry. When we were indecisive and changed our minds (a lot) ...it never phased him. He and is team are the first people I will call for any project big or small. They are the special forces of the construction community. read more

After finding a leak in our shower, we decided it was time to just have our master bathroom remodeled. I called a few contractors and got quotes that I thought were high. I kept searching and found Diablo View Construction. I spoke with Kevin and we set an appointment for the following Friday. He inspected my bathroom and asked me what I was looking to do. I told him and he offered his opinion and said he would get me a quote later that day. HE DID. (I will just say another contractor took over a week to get me an estimate). I agreed to have Diablo View Construction do my bathroom. This was a great decision. From day one until the final day, Kevin would always be on time and checking to see if I had any questions. He left every day the same. Showing me what he had done that day, what was going to happen next, and "did I have any questions?" I was told the bathroom would take about 2 weeks. A week and a half later it's done. Kevin and his crew were awesome. The whole time I explained to Kevin that the main thing was that I wanted my wife to be happy. When she came home the day it was completed, She just stood in the bathroom grinning from ear to ear. When we walk in to our new bathroom, I feel like we are walking into a new house. Everything in the bathroom is the way we wanted and the work was done perfectly. We have a few other projects we are going to be having done in the near future. I will only use Diablo View Construction. I think in todays' world, it seems that customer service has disappeared. Diablo View Construction has kept that customer first attitude. I think that is important when I am letting someone into my home. Thank you Kevin, and everyone at Diablo View Construction for a job well done. A+ Job read more

I highly recommend Diable View Construction and I will use them again in the future. Kevin and his crew just finished a siding repair for me. I looked at a few local contractors as I prefer to use local services if I can. Kevin is very professional and responsive. He responed to my request for a quote and got back to me in a timely manner with the quote. He took care of arranging all aspects of the job. He planned and completed the job in a week when the weather cooperated so I wouldn't get any further damage; completing the job on Saturday. Everything looks great! Kevin and his crew also were very clean and neat. My yard looks good; they cleared away all the debris. You can't tell that one third of the siding was removed and replaced on one side of my house. Diablo View Construction does great work. I love that they are local. I have a go to resource here in Clayton. read more

Diablo View Construction is the kind of contractor you want working on your house. Everyone is very considerate in their work and does a quality job. Diablo View completed a bathroom remodel for us a few years ago and just completed our kitchen upgrade last month. Our home was left tidy when they weren't there working, the owner Kevin kept us informed of their progress with calls/texts and the final product turn out amazing! Kevin was personally involved and available to meet when we had questions. Diablo View does a lot of projects around Clayton and Concord with a great reputation. If you call, you might get a voicemail that they are not accepting new projects until a certain date because Kevin is very careful to not spread his team too thin. We started planning our project very early to get a proposal and onto their schedule several months before any work started. It turned out that gave us time to purchase all the items we needed to pick out for them to install like the faucet, pendent lights, appliances, etc. The proposal we received from Diablo View outlined this and was very thorough. At the end of the project the only extra costs were things we added along the way. Thank you to Kevin, Pedro, Matt and others for your great work and for putting up with my OCD tendencies. read more

Asked these guys to provide a quote for a custom barn door, and Kevin went to my house to take measurements. That was basically the end of the communication. They never provided a quote. I've called, e-mailed and texted, but they simply don't respond. Even if they just tell me that the home project I need to get done is not up their alley, but at the very least I thought they should respond. read more

We used Diablo View Construction to replace the wood shake siding with composite and re paint the entire exterior of our house. Kevin, Matthew and Pedro did a phenomenal job, and honestly the result exceeded our expectations. They clearly communicated their scheduling and progress during the project, were very responsive to questions, and quickly finished up the punch list to assure our complete satisfaction. Always left the job site clean each day, and their attention to detail for finish work was impressive. Highly recommended, and will be using them again soon for additional house projects. read more

Kevin and his hard working crew did a beautiful job on our kitchen which involved some new cabinets, some refurbished cabinets, new wood floors in several rooms, two new windows, removal and remodel of that dreaded, dated "bar area", bigger opening into the dining area, and removal of the equally dreaded popcorn ceilings. Pedro did an amazing job in finishing work. The entire crew was respectful, pleasant and careful. Great job guys - glad we found you through our neighborhood NextDoor website. Don't know why I'm listed as San Francisco. We live in Clayton and Kevin is local to our area. read more

I live in Clayton and have observed over the years ,Kevin and his Crew working on many projects in the area. While walking my dog Kevin would always drive by me and WAVE and he seemed like a nice enough guy. When I was ready to do my remodel, I contacted some of the people Kevin had worked for and they told me that Diablo View was fantastic and that they were highly satisfied with their work. I contacted Kevin and we met and went over my remodel plans and needs and Kevin assured me he could get it done and in a timely manner. Kevin was a dream to work with, he did exactly what we agreed for him to do. I changed design plans a few times and Kevin being the ultimate professional was able to make them work out, He is the type of contractor you want, His jobsite is always cleaned up after the day, he answers your phone call when you call him or returns them call promptly. He has a dynamite crew that works for him (Matthew, Pedro, and a few others I can't remember their names) they all are great at what they do. I found myself being more of a friend to these guys before the job was completed then just a very satisfied customer. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Diablo View Construction for your remodel needs. I could not be more happier with my results. 10 STARS for this Company read more

Kevin Schmidt and his team at Diablo View Construction did a fantastic job on our bathroom remodel (plus). The plus comes in because as our second bathroom was transformed, the other part of the house looked just a bit too shabby. Additional projects were added, and they handled each request beautifully. It is amazing that my simple pictures and email ideas were brought to reality. I love our new bathroom, entryway lighting, interior paint, outdoor light fixture, staircase and fireplace mantel refresh.
