Terrible customer service experience. Tyler, the assistant manager at this location, was completely unprofessional. I called as a Pro Partner needing help with site login credentials. Other store locations immediately understood what I needed but explained they couldn't assist because their manager wasn't available. Tyler, however, refused to help outright, showed no interest in understanding the issue, had a very poor attitude, and ultimately hung up on me mid-conversation. Dani and Cheryl at this location were a wonderful help to me this past weekend!! I planned to float down the river nearby with a friend when we realized I'd lost the attachment for our mini air compressor to blow up my floatie chair once we got to the water. The floatie was too big to blow up manually so I searched for other solutions. I called this Leslie Pool Supply location and was immediately assisted by Cheryl. I explained my pickle and asked if they had an air compressor at the store that could inflate my floatie, letting them know I'd happily pay for the help. When I arrived, they were so kind that they insisted I didn't pay for the help even though I hadn't purchased anything from their store. Im on my way to Nathans, I heard the they are jerks too. I guess working in the Pool Business sucks when you have work where everyone else has all the fun. The man (I'm sorry I don't remember his name) who tested the water and helped me was very friendly and helpful. He took time to explain what the numbers meant and recommended a product to help. Would not recommend any large repairs on equipment from them. They are not qualified when telling the consumer what is best for their current pool systems since they are NOT licensed contractors with decades of experience, trying to down grade materials and under cutting competition pricing with cheaper merchandise to make a sale. I went in to buy a new Polaris pool sweep, the company that cleans my pool told me my old one couldn't be repaired and that I must go buy a new one. I brought my old one with me so I could get something similar. I was expecting to pay $500 for a new machine. Lorraine Olson, the store manager, looked at my old Polaris and told me that it would take some work, but that she could fix it. It was a week before Easter and I asked Lorraine if there was any way to get it done in a few days, so that the pool sweep could get my pool in shape before hosting 50 people at my house. I was a bit desperate. Although I could see how busy the store was Lorraine said she would find a way to get it done by the end of the day. She had it done by the afternoon, and it works as if it's brand new, and for a fraction of the cost. Lorraine and her staff are very polite, helpful and incredibly knowledgeable. She also saved me a ton of money. It's nice to know that there are local trustworthy people like Lorraine that aren't just pushing product sales. I won't go anywhere else for service or products. They sell pool supplies - yay? They have what you need and it's convenient. The prices are high, but I have neither the time nor knowledge to order pool supplies online directly from the manufacturer or from a reseller. Just checked online and the leaf bag was $15-20 more than on Amazon. Wow. 3 stars for convenience and nice employees, can't rate higher due to crazy prices. I guess I'll learn how to buy pool supplies online next time. read more

Went in to buy a new variable speed pump, advised them of my pool automation setup at home and that the pump needed to be able to work with that setup. Get told everything will be fine, no problem. Get on the schedule to get an install done. 2 Weeks go by the techs come out, take a 1 minute look at my setup and say they don't have the cable to connect the pump to my automation system and have to go back to the store to see if there's one in stock or if they can get one from another store. Three hours go by, I finally give up waiting and call to find out what's going on. They ordered the part, but they aren't coming back out today, they just hadn't had a chance to call me yet. Part wont arrive for 2 days, and I have to get a new appointment which could be another 2 weeks out. Argue a bit with the store manager about getting put back on the schedule sooner, he says he'll try to escalate with the scheduling department. Scheduling calls me the next day and I get a new appointment 10 days out, but get told I can be on the cancellation list to get bumped up if there is a cancel. I win the lottery there get another call back a day later that they can bump me up to 2 days from them. Great, I take it. Techs come out again, tell me right off the bat that they can hook it up (without looking at my system again), but it won't properly work with my automation system, that only 2 speeds will work. They can change out to another pump that's similar priced. OK fine. But once again, they don't have the data cable to connect to my system, and I'd be put back in the same loop of rescheduling once again. Tell them no thanks, just cancel everything. If they knew before they came out that the pump wouldn't work right with my system, why didn't anyone call me and discuss this. We could have changed out the pump over the phone, ordered the part and been able to do this install properly instead of wasting my time waiting around the house for multiple hours each failed appointment. read more

Awhile ago they ordered a sweep from another store since they were sold out. I thought it seemed really inexpensive and asked the girl if she was sure she was ordering what was on display. Went to pick it up and of course it was not the same one. No biggy people make mistakes. She refused to give me my money back. She said I had to have a receipt. They had the receipt. It was taped to the order. She would give me the product but not my money back. I gave them a bad FB review. Manager contacted me, gave me his cell number. Never responded to my e-mail or call. Then his phone was disconnected. Hope that $40.00 was worth losing my business completely. This still makes me mad. Thankfully there are other options in the area. read more

I have shopped at Leslie's for years and now give up. I went in for a part for my Polaris pool sweep which I bought at this store. The part was not in stock but they offered to order one as long as I paid the $7.95 order charge for my $12.00 part. He explained that anything you order at Leslie's has a $7.95 order charge. They carry less inventory now. I went home, looked it up on Amazon and will have the part this week for less than half the price. This kind of attitude gives bricks and mortar little hope. read more

I think the manager (don't recall her name) is very friendly. I've been in there a dozen or so times and I actually prefer her over the staff that seems to turn over pretty quickly. Randy at my local Leslie's has always been available and helpful as I run in and out near closing time or have a problem with my pool. Bought a jacuzzi pump 7 months ago or so and it was leaking. Joel came out and fixed the leaking seals under warranty. He finished the job on the same day and even left twice to retrieve needed parts. Thanks so much for a job well done and excellent service. Yes, as someone pointed out, it is Leslie's and they sell pool supplies. However, in any establishment the key is customer service and this location has a really great employee, Dani. She helped me find what I needed but also mentioned the difficulty of installing the replacement wheel on my Polaris. Well, wouldn't you know, handy as I am I couldn't do it and back I went. She installed it while I was there and did a fine job. She is a cheerful, helpful person and knows what she is doing and that is the reason I will go back, but if you do...ask for Dani! read more

These guys are just the worst I have ever seen. I called in with questions regarding solar pool heating, spoke with Jessie a nice guy. He told me to come in later in week to go over project. I called this am he said come on down. I got there and he flipped me to Lorraine. Ok then what do you need? I need solar pool heating, here is a picture of my home, the pool, the size, etc. What questions did I have? ALL OF THEM!! No help whatsoever, no hello, no goodbye, no data, nothing! I was prepared to spend about $3000 with them and now I wouldn't go there for any reason EVER! Spare yourself the wasted time and energy and go ANYWHERE else! read more

Not the most helpful or polite store manager. She's very rude and snotty to customers. If you can work with Nick, he's great, but the store manager makes just entering the store a bad experience. We just put in a pool and had been in several times in the last few weeks to get the water tested. Today when I went in, she (I don't know her name, she doesn't wear a nametag, imagine that) she told me "You're not in our computer." Really? Why after all this time is that such an important step? She then started asking me all kinds of questions that I didn't know the answers to as my husband has the technical knowledge of our system. When I told her the tone and comments were snotty, she argued with me. I will not go back. I can be condescended and patronized by much more pleasant folks that I'm not paying. read more

The staff here is always so friendly. We were new to having an unground pool and immediately started off with a service. The pool guy was great but just one additional cost. The staff here are so helpful. With their advice and water testing we were soon able to manage all the pool maintenance on our own. For higher price point items we still compare and shop online but for all our chemicals, repairs, and advice we go to Leslie's. read more

Waited approximately 25 minutes while the one person manning the shop tended to one customer in front of me. The whole time he didn't even acknowledge my presence, no eye contact, not even a "hello" nor "I'll be right with you". Common customer curtosy would have made the time waiting more bareable. After patiently hearing the clerk read the printed pool chemical instruction over and over and over and over to the same customer, I had to leave. The clerk couldn't care less that he lost a customer. read more

What an unbelievable experience. I bought a bottle of chemicals yesterday. After getting home, and realizing I really didnt want it for the price, I went to return it today. I was told by the manager that they dont accept returns on chemicals. There is a sign above the register that says satisfaction guaranteed, return any product within 14 days. She said, well read your reciept. It says no chemicals. 90% of the store is chemicals! So the sign should say something about only returns on toys! Finally she agreed to take it back, but told the girl working the register to put a note in my file that says they will never accept a return from me again. I was shocked!! Where is the guarantee on satisfaction!? Luckily they arent the only place to buy pool supplies. read more

My experience here was nothing special whatsoever. The assistant manager was helping us (don't remember his name) but did he leave an impression on my boyfriend and I. We are new to owning a house with a pool so any knowledge is helpful to us. Not only did this guy act like we were bothering him, but he was the opposite of helpful. We were interested in a new pool sweeper and were asking him questions about 2 different ones ranging in price between $600-$850...not only could he not really differentiate the value in them both but his demeanor and attitude killed the sale. We ended up asking him questions about shocking the pool and he wouldn't even leave the area he was standing in to point us in the right direction. Horrible customer service. My boyfriend and I both agreed we won't be back since this experience was so bad. Leslie's needs to have a reevaluation of themselves at this store since everyone knows their prices aren't the cheapest, but if you can't give a welcoming and everlasting experience to have your clientele to come back...they just won't. read more

I am inclined to agree with the first customer's comments that the store manager (whose name, by the way, is Lorraine) is in fact, quite rude and abrupt in her manners and speech. She is not engaging or friendly, and as the store manager she should be the one to set the example for all of her employees as to how to treat their customers...with courtesy and a smile. She may be very thorough when it comes to actually getting the job done, but first impressions are very hard to ignore, and I am sure her abrasive attitude contributes to the loss of repeat business. read more

Wonderful experience. The young guy who tested my chemicals was so nice and professional. He really knows his stuff. I believe his name was Bobby. While I was being helped I couldn't help but notice a couple of pool technicians in the store receiving help from the staff. If those guys being in the industry also shop there it must be a great place to get help. I was so lost when I got there I hadn't the first clue what to do. The manager helped me pick out a new pump and filter system for my pool. I have leaks every where and my equipment is very old. She showed me energy efficient pumps called variable pumps. I've gone four months with the new pump and it has saved me on average $97 a month on my electricity bill. Woo hoo. Hope this helps any one in the Fair Oaks area to find a good pool store to shop at.
