Bacon Egg & Cheese Sandwich with tomato
Megan W.

I ordered ahead so maybe that was my mistake but easily one of the worst bagels I've had in NYC this year. I got it scooped so can't comment on the actual bagel too well but the cheese was ridiculous, wayyy too much, and some pictures so it nice and warm but clearly not mine... the bacon was good, other than that I have no good notes.

Leon's Bagel is known to be "nothing fancy," so the menu isn't overwhelming. Plus, there's only 3 signature bagel sandwiches, which are great options. The shop is a walk-up window but there is some seating on the sidewalk. I ordered one Sausage Egg Cheese ($10) and one Classic Lox ($16) --both on an everything bagel, of course. I really enjoyed both bagels and everything was well balanced. I could always use more cream cheese, but this is good for a normal person. Also liked how melty the cheese and fluffy the eggs were. They serve the classics here, which are tasty and filling.

Super cute little walk-up window for bagels! Made it a point to come here to buy bagels to take back home to Los Angeles. I got some plain and egg bagels for my trip back but also ordered a toasted everything egg bagel ($2.00) with scallion cream cheese ($4.50) to eat on the spot. The bagel was the perfect texture and the amount of cream cheese was spot on. The scallions were fragrant and I would not change a thing about the entire thing. Would definitely come back!

This was really tasty and we'll be back. The egg sandwich was PHENOMENAL. Not TOO much cream cheese which some places go too crazy. Perfect balance of fresh eggs, cream cheese and the soft and fresh bagel. The lox bagel was solid too and tasted like all ingredients were very fresh. Service was a bit slow bc only 2 people handling a massive line but they wer kind. Lots of space outside to sit and can always hit the nearby park. Although a bit pricey, the quality and flavor is a 5/5.

Leon's has a quality bagel although I would not say it's the best in nyc. I appreciate that they have sandwich options but I'd opt for a different place for a much more affordable price

Bagel texture: great - fluffy Portion size: amazing - huge Taste: 0 because there is no taste. It was a tasteless breakfast bagel ): I couldn't taste the everything bagel seasoning, and the sausage had no flavor other than the sage. The bacon one was at least a bit saltier. The eggs were cheesy which I liked, but also made the sandwich greasy. They give you the option to add hot sauce -- should've done that ): Service was friendly and efficient. They also only operate as a take out window. We took our bagels to the park nearby which was nice. Overall, it's not BAD; it's just not GOOD.

4.5 stars! This might be my favorite all around bagel shop in Williamsburg. Most bagel shops here either do one or the other (cream cheese v. Bacon egg n cheese). You'll be hard pressed to find a place that does both and does it at a reasonable price. I got an egg everything bagel with scallion cream cheese, tomato, cucumber, onion and capers. Goated combination btw. Also, can we appreciate that they offer egg everything? Didn't realize I was missing that in my life. I love egg and I love everything so it only makes sense

This is a cute pick up bagel spot! You can either go plain to crazy and make it a meal! There's a lot of add on and options to add to your bagel! They say nyc bagels are elite and so I would check it out! The service is great and I enjoyed stopping by. Def a cute photo spot!

Very cute grab and go spot for bagels. I ordered the BEC on a scooped everything bagel with light cheese. It was yum but definitely a bit heavy (although duh it's a BEC lol). Good price too!

Came here on a Saturday morning, and there were about ten people in line but it moved quickly! The storefront is so cute and I liked how they decorated it for fall. I ordered the classic Lox bagel which came out to $17 with some change. I think I waited 5-10 minutes for the bagel to be prepared, and then I walked a couple blocks north to sit at a bench in the park and eat it since there's not really a place to sit in front of Leon's Bagels. Looooved my bagel! I got a plain which was nicely toasted and paired well with the filling. Good amount of capers and salmon and cream cheese.

Leon's did not have a huge line on this rainy day, so I lucked out! They noticed folks waiting for bagels and put up the patio umbrellas which was very kind. There's an outdoor parklet seating which was nice. I got an everything bagel with lox spread. It was huge and that schmear was THICC. I think it was a sourdough bagel because she had body for sure. It was so fresh and delicious. The lox spread had plenty of lox with the cream cheese. Big fan. A very nice treat yo self bagel moment. I like the green/white checkered logo/design for the branding too.

Not worth the hype. A good bagel doesn't need to get toasted, this one for sure did. Tasted one day old, very dry

You can find this location of Brooklyn Bagel at 286 8th Ave, New York, NY 10001 in Chelsea. As with…read moreother eateries in NYC, probably best to walk to this location and forgo looking for the near non-existent parking. I was looking for a breakfast spot close to my hotel near 7th Ave and found a couple of contenders on 8th Ave - I decided to hit Brooklyn Bagel as it showed more reviews. We have Brooklyn Bagel in Atlanta so I'm familiar with the chain - most Atlanta bagels are sub-par, something about the horrible Atlanta water. I figured it was time to sample a location in NYC. This location is fairly old-school, directly on 8th Ave between W 24th and W25th streets. Coming in there was a line but it moved quickly - you go to the back of the shop, call out what you want and move towards the register to pay. I think it took about 7 minutes to get the BKbagel Classic - - smoked Nova salmon, scallion cream cheese, onion, tomato & capers. I asked for it on a toasted everything and it was everything I thought it would be - perfect bite. Service was great, no nonsense but friendly. I sat at one of the long wall counters and wolfed down my sandwich with a cup of Joe. No complaints here.

Decided to stop in for a bagel during our quick day trip into the City. Knew we wanted a NY bagel,…read moreso decided to go a little out of the way to try this one. This location is loud and energetic when you walk in. Seemingly want to pumped up about buying some bagels haha. The staff was very helpful because we weren't sure what we wanted, but they helped walk us through some options and eventually settled on the classic NY bagel. Cream cheese, salmon, and capers, etc. on the soft, delicious bagel. Also got a blueberry muffin for the kids and they loved that! All in all great experience. I'd drop it down to 4.5 stars just because the loud setting is not really my vibe, but everything else was great!
