While visiting Brooklyn, we had breakfast from here. Ordered on the computer and then picked up and took them back to the home of relatives. Ordering was super simple and you can do it on-line. The store was just a couple of blocks walk and when we arrived, there was a crowd standing around. This isn't a go-in and sit down type of place...it's a pick-up place where you can order right there or again call or order on-line. There is nothing like NY Bagels...not sure what it is (locals say it's the water!). These bagels didn't disappoint. I had a sesame bagel with plain cream cheese, and you don't need to double the cheese because the regular portion is perfect! I also had my bagel toasted. Others ordered breakfast sandwiches and everyone was happy with the quality and taste of their bagels. I don't have pictures except for the one outside of their banner. But go if in Brooklyn!

Greenberg's is a breakfast sandwich oasis in a desert of morning-after unease. Its glass of orange juice offered to a tiring pilgrim, a pesto-egg-avocado-and-cheese extended to a flagging denizen of subwayless Brooklyn.

Fantastic cheese pulls. Double seasoning. Lots of egg. A chewy bagel. Greenberg's was definitely a solid bagel on my NY bagel hunt. I love the retro feel of their walk up shop. Nostalgic colors with the name simply displayed across their over hang. This bagel is not for the faint of heart. It is thick, it is big, it is a solid bagel. A great crust accompanies the garlic, sesame, and salt sprinkled across both sides. But, the inside? Soft, fluffy. This is an authentic New york bagel experience. An institution for many, just a one morning stand me, unfortunately. The critiques? For personal preference the bacon was a bit crispy for me, but not a huge deal. Also, as pictured. The egg did overpower a bit. But, still a fantastic BEC. A spot I'd love to visit again. I kept it simple, but they do have an innovative menu testing the limits of your traditional bagel sandwich. Lastly, the workers were great. They were not overwhelmingly busy, but still were churning orders out rather quickly.

Had pastrami egg & cheese on everything bagel. Was pretty good. Wish they had seating area, looks like its take out only. Was still good . Good Staff.

We had a pickup order of specialty bagels from Greenberg's. First and foremost, the bagels are massive. I ate half of mine and saved the rest for later. Secondly, they are delicious. I had the bacon and cheddar, slightly toasted. It was full of flavor!

So Damn Delicious I ordered a BLT with American cheese & raw onions, with mayo, on a lightly toasted whole wheat bagel, omg. I throughly enjoyed it.

Bagel spot with outdoor seating. Order from your phone or via the cash register. Bagel was a little chewy, and I've definitely had smoked salmon cream cheese with bigger portions of salmon. It's a fair choice of place to get bagels.

extremely overpriced, very mid (and very small) bagels. 11.50 for a BEC is criminal. if youre used to classic NY/NJ bagels, do not come here. you will be disappointed. nice workers though!

I got a sausage, egg, cheese and a HASH BROWN in a buttered bagel for delivery and it arrived still piping hot and ready to be eaten. OMG! It was so bomb! The hash brown reminded me of McDonald's and added a nice texture/bite to the other ingredients! I wish the bagel was toasted way longer but either way, it's definitely a must try!

    Everything bagel with lox

You can't visit NY without getting a bagel, and in my opinion, a bagel with lox. Our friends recommended this place based on their own experience of trying out different bagel shops and so far this one is their favorite. I ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese and lox. My husband got an everything bagel with cream cheese, tomato, and bacon. They were good. The bagels themselves were packed with flavor but I found the amount of lox to be a little disappointing... just one thin slice for the whole bagel. Our friends commented that in their experience the delivery orders are a little skimpy, so keep that in mind when ordering for delivery versus in person.

**THEY HAVE A C HEALTH GRADE** it's posted on the door, which is open all day, so you can't see it. It's also noted under previous inspections they didn't post the letter grade. That's shady and a shitty thing to do to a community you set up shop in. At least let people make the informed decision to risk their health. Service isn't great. Unfriendly staff and chaotic order/pick up window. Food is mediocre. All of which are things that I could have looked past if they weren't putting your health at risk. You can go to https://a816-health.nyc.gov/ABCEatsRestaurants/#!/Search to review the inspections. As well as other restaurants.

One of those places where ordering ahead will guarantee you'll wait 45 minutes for a bagel. Bad.

As far as the customer service goes I wish it was a bit better. The staff aren't the most pleasant. No good morning no acknowledgement of comprehending what you order they just walk away and start the order. Which is why I double check always. I do notice they speak more pleasantly to other customers that come in. Not sure if it's a culture thing or could they be discriminatory but it's a bit unsettling. Food: 3.8/5 I only order the poppy seed bagel and that's pretty tasty. Not to doughy although I do have them take out a good portion of the bread because I like it to be extremely thin. Service: 3 /5 Service needs major improvements , language barriers are also a major factor to consider as they do speak Spanish and their primary language. Ambiance: 3/5 Standard & basic bagel shop set up. Standing & waiting area is basic they have counter tops should you want to stand inside and eat nothing fancy. We wanted to try something different after having explored so many of the typical places in Manhattan and Shelsky's came highly recommended While I was expecting a long wait on a Saturday mid-morning, I was pleasantly surprised to find the establishment with only a few in line before us. Now, I was desperately seeking a very simple belly lox with schmear, but much to my dismay, they didn't have any more belly lox. I was heartbroken and had to figure out a plan B While I pondered, the family quickly ordered a Peter Shelsky, a Great Gatsby, and a Fancy Pants. I crumbled in my panic and jumped in with another Peter Shelsky. We also tried a small amount of whitefish salad and a beet/thyme salad The service was quick and we were able to grab two of the three small tables at the front to enjoy our fare. Soon we were digging in and from the immediate silence, I could tell everyone was enjoying their choices. The bagels were on the smaller side, denser with a firm crust. We did enjoy the bagels, but I could see how someone not familiar with this style may find them too "cardboard-y" I have to say, the pickled herring on the Peter Shelsky was fantastic, but was way too overpowering for the nova and sable. I actually regretted my choice and would order something more sunken next time. (Or get to the store earlier to beat the rush for the darn belly lox!) The beet salad was quite a nice balance to for the bagels adding a bit of brightness. The whitefish salad was solid - a hint of smoke and a creamy puree. Some who prefer a chunkier whitefish salad might find this less than satisfactory, but the flavors were great A cure store, friendly and patient staff, a great first exposure to Brooklyn for the boys. We'll be back (and we want belly lox!!)

It's a pretty spacious bagel spot with ample seating menu's with pricing for all items they sell which is helpful. Food: 3/5 I ordered a jalapeño bagel with turkey bacon, and scrambled eggs. The texture was chewy and a bit doughy if you like your bagels that texture this may be the spot for you. Overall my bagel was about 10-12$ I believe. They charge extra for a rainbow bagel and other specialty bagels like jalapeño. Which is pretty expensive so make sure you're aware of that. Service: 3/5 The customer service was mediocre.
