Not the most flavorful bagel I've had- got the everything with scallion cream cheese. Also a vanilla latte with also not a ton of flavor. Friends got things they weren't particularly fans of either- a bagel sandwich and a smoothie. The gal at the counter wasn't the most helpful, but a man brought us our food and he was nice. Busy spot in a neighborhood. They definitely have a following. read more

This is my new go to bagel spot. The bagels are really good. I usually get 7 for $6. They're $1 each outside of that special. I've tried the plain, everything, and poppy seed bagels. All the bagels were great in flavor and they were also very soft even after a couple of days. I love the quality in their bagels and for the price! It's pretty easy to get to with street parking nearby and nearby public transportation by bus or train. Customer service could a little a better since at this point I've been there at least 7 times in the last 2 months. They won't greet you or thank you for your business here. However I still recommend this bagel shop as one of the best in Brooklyn for quality bagels. This is why I keep coming back. read more

Honestly one of the worst experiences I have had in terms of food service i New York City. I wouldn't recommend eating here unless you have nothing better to do that wait for food that doesn't come and staff who are unhelpful in terms of being transparent about my order. I think it's extremely embarrassing considering there is not much in the way of kosher competition here. read more

I had a brunch prepared for a crowd of over 35 people and and everyone commented on the quality of the whitefish, tuna, lox, and of course, the bagels! In addition, what impressed my guests was the presentation of the food. I've ordered similar menu options from other caterers for gatherings and the food was laid out in the same way I would have if I had bought the ingredients. With the amount of kosher options that have sprung up in the last 5-6 years, I don't understand how buncho bagels is still in business. They used to the place to go. Service was good, the food was good, the environment was crowded but pleasant. Now the store desperately needs a face lift, the staff are sluggish and rude, and the food is mediocre and sometimes poor. It's a real shame. read more

Food is still great, even though the prices which recently went up pre-COVID, went up again post COVID. However they are NOT adhering to the city mask mandates. Customers don't wear mask, some staff doesn't wear mask. So I'll return after i get my COVID vaccine. read more

I have been looking for a breakfast place in the area and was excited to try Bunch-O-bagels. There aren't a lot of choices in this part of Crown Heights! Overall I would say the quality of the bagels was good and I enjoyed my chive cream cheese on an everything bagel, but I found the selection pretty limited. There was only one sweet bagel option (cinnamon raisin) and no sweet spread so it was plain or nothing. They do not serve meat besides salmon & tuna, but have a good cheese selection. They do close early on Friday and are closed on Saturday, but I'm sure I will be back since despite all of the above, it is still the best (only) bagel shop in the area and they do offer other breakfast options like pancakes, eggs, pastries and french toast. read more

Been here twice, simply because it was down the street from where I was staying (visiting from the west coast). The bagels are well below what I call a good bagel. The bagel were way too dense and unflavorful. The place was really busy but the service was quick. I can't help but notice the reason for this place being so busy is that is caters to its surrounding population majority. 1st visit. I asked the food expediters if they toast bagels bc I love a warm bagel with the crunchy bits when toasted and the self checkout kiosks didn't offer the option. They said yes. I then went to the cashier to order an everything bagel - toasted with plain cream cheese and jelly just to make sure my order was done right. I also added a strawberry cheese pastry and a chocolate chip scone. I noticed the ladies were putting cream cheese on my bagel to fast and they kept looking back at me bc they saw I was paying attention. I didn't say anything bc I could tell they knew the bagel was done wrong but I was curious if they'd still serve it. They bagged the bagel, pastry and scone. As soon as I got my order I immediately checked bagel and as I thought it was cold. I handed the bagel back over the counter to the lady who told me it wasn't toasted. They put the bagel in the toaster over which only made for the messiest melted cream cheese and melted jelly bagel. The taste was good but just to messy to enjoy lacking the texture I love so I just moved onto the strawberry cheese pastry. It turned out I was given an apple pie pastry which is a flavor I'm not a fan of in any form. I'm also not a fan of the you get what we give you not what you pay for type of service. I was so hungry; while driving I noticed this spot and reversed in my vehicle and parked it across the street. It was a Wednesday, I believe so I didn't have to worry about parking regulations. It was extremely busy in this place and I did almost feel to walk out since I didn't want to be late for work but I decided since I was here, I might as well get some breakfast. I ordered a pumpernickel bagel with light cream cheese spread. Service was pretty okay; the staff looked really busy and also, the lines were confusing since people we're ordering on the right and the wait for for the food was the left. The bagel was standard; definitely doughy more so than fluffy. It was alittle hard, too. Freshness was just a tad bit questionable. But it wasn't that bad to the point that I didn't want to eat it. I've been to better spots (in NYC as a whole) but I wouldn't chuck this one so fast. It's definitely better than some bagels from the corner bodegas in the Crown Heights area. And also, it appears that business for them is booming due the latter. If I'm in the area, I would pass through here again. read more

Yummy bagels (very soft), but very limited options for non dairy eaters like myself. Perhaps they should consider at least 1 tofu cream cheese option. This was the closest bagel place near me at the time, so my go-to was their signature tuna salad on a bagel -- very delicious tuna, and clearly homemade! If you want moist yet cooked eggs with cheddar between a reasonably sized, crispy on the outside, toasty-tart garlic bagel, go to Bunch-O-Bagels. (OT: Why do bagels generally have to be so friggin' huge?) I've heard, though I can't confirm, that these bagels are "Miami Style" bagels. This stands to reason because, as a native of New York suburbs, I've not had bagels quite like them. They're on the pretzel side of bagels - smaller, crispier. But they've got that yummy yeasty flavor you won't get in a pretzel. And that makes them all right by me. The prices are very fair and the service is efficient. I suggest coming during weekdays. I do not suggest eating in on Sunday mornings as the store jostles with families and strollers. My wife got a shin stinger from an aggressively wielded stroller our first time there. I'd rather felt her pain than miss out on Bunch-O-Bagels. read more

Bunch O Bagels is a Kosher bagel store in Crown Heights that has become very popular very quickly. Prices: Very reasonable for breakfast ($4.99) and salads ($6/7.99.) Some of the cakes and muffins are a little pricey but you can leave with your arm and your leg intact. Service: Fantastic. The staff behind the counter keep the line moving quickly and they are not short-staffed. Place: Always clean, lots of room for seating whether you're a family/group of 9 or just you and a buddy. Note that the place is usually very busy and noisy around breakfast to lunch time. Food: Consistently great. Lots of different types of bagels and fillings. Salads. Muffins. Yogurt/Granola thingys. Excellent coffee Overall: Not only is the food good here, you get the feeling that Bunch O Bagels is been run extremely efficiently. Here are my 3 star reasons: Atmosphere: The space feels inviting. Lots of seating with a separate step-up POS. Very cute spot. They also have a beautiful sink where you can wash your hands. Coconut hand wash...HEAVEN! Customer Service: Nice ladies at the counter and diligent deli guys. Great. Product Variety: Lots of stuff on the menu. More is always better at a deli. Here is the problem though: The products are not that special. What makes a deli or a tiny spot your joint is the quality and taste of the food. The products are very "MEH" to me. For instance, I ordered an untoasted everything bagel with scallion cream cheese, lox and tomato. Upon arrival at home I find a light coating of cream cheese with a few scallions and NO TOMATO! I couldn't go back to complain. I walked up a hill for this??? Oyyy...And bagels should be crunchy on the outside (without toasting) and pleasantly chewy and soft on the inside. They don't bake these in-house (unlike a Murray's let's say). I'm sorry but I don't think they do. And the size of these bagels leaves something to be desired. And please don't skimp on the lox and cream cheese. When you put these things on a bagel it should metamorphosize into a delicious sandwich. A light coating of unflavorful whatever and a few pieces of salmon for effect does not a happy customer make. Work on the product. It has to live up to the other things that I like about this place. But we're driving somewhere and made sure to get there before they closed so we'd have food for the way. But at 3:40 they were locked and the girl refused to open. That isn't fair! Oy Vey! These bagels were so tiny that I needed a microscope to find them. Thought they had made mistake and had given me a mini bagel. Let's talk about the taste, which there was none. Bland. Not even fresh from the oven despite coming in early. Cold. The only mitzvah this place offers is that they have tables and a bathroom. That's it. They can wait for the prophet Elijah to come but they will have to keep on waiting. There's no way he would ever show up for these ungodly bagels. Feh! read more

Craved a traditional NY everything bagel "all the way" with lox, cream cheese & all the additions like thinly sliced pickles, red onion, tomato & whatever else they offer such as capers or dill. I knew coming to a real Brooklyn bagel spot would give me the traditional & authentic taste and style I hoped for. Buncho-bagels definitely delivered .....it was beyond delicious and done so right ! Ofcourse when we came in, it was a madhouse. My friend who grew up in the Lubavitch community ran into like 60 people he knew at the door, so he couldn't even make it to the line with me because people were bombarding him with hellos since I was starving and on a mission, I skipped that scene and headed straight for the line. Longish, but efficiently managed by 3 cashiers/order-takers who had a great system for whittling down the line and many workers preparing food behind. The coffee you prep yourself while you wait. It was good coffee & doing that cut some time off the wait. Since it was a madhouse (& apparently always is) we waited at a table and drank our coffees until the take-away food was ready. (My friend informed me that they call your name like Starbucks) Only a few minutes had passed and a woman with a bag came down the steps from the counter area calling my name - I guess I didn't hear with all the madness- so they brought the take-out right to our table despite being extraordinarily busy....that's what I call service. Whenever I'm in Crown Heights, stopping by Bunch-O-Bagels is a must. Although the store is almost always packed around lunch time, the line moves quickly and the food is made even faster. Everything is fresh and delicious and their coffee has the perfect amount of oomph to get your day started. My favorite meal is unquestionably the tuna melt with Muenster cheese and their unbelievable house dressing on a whole wheat everything bagel. TO DIE FOR. Keep it up Buncho! read more
