I noticed they had a blueberry bagel it was a MUST TRY FOR ME!! I love blueberries !! I decided I would get a warm blueberry bagel with cream cheese lot as the spread. I then went to the front to pay for my order and I notice the drink menu. A ice banana latte. Ofcourse I had to try with oat milk. Overall I had a wonderful experience and the service was decent. Ah, The Pube. I'm sorry, that's what my friends who live around the corner call it thanks to an unfortunate autocorrect years ago. Sometimes things just stick. But we're all thankful it's not a nickname rooted in any other kind of incident. What I know about the Bagel Pub is that it's a bright and nicely laid out shop with a solid staff, and when I need a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel, they're there for me. I personally feel as though it's borderline too cheesey, but that's not really a legitimate complaint. They aren't my favorite bagels ever (that is a legit complaint), but they are very solid, and they get the job done. It's also a little too pricey for me; I think it was $40+ for three BECs last time, including tax and tip, and that feels a little steep for breakfast sandwiches. I love Bagel Pub so much but disappointed this one doesn't have outdoor seating especially with a wider sidewalk. There was one small bench but that was it. The interior does look pretty pub-like, with its dark wood paneling: there's a long hallway, where the ordering happens, and a smattering of seats in the back. There's also a restroom in the back, though a code is required. We managed to snag two seats by the back windows while we waited for our orders. It was crazy busy -- I think it took nearly 20 minutes for our food to come out. I ordered a Fresh Lox #1, without the onions, which came out to ~$20. The bagel sandwich was delicious and crammed full of salmon and cream cheese, but I'm not sure it's worth the steep price tag, especially since NYC is littered with good bagel joints. read more

I ordered delivery from here last weekend and I was really bummed by the quality of my order since I live around the block and am looking for a new bagel spot! I ordered two bagels with different flavors of cream cheese, and while the bagels were huge, they were pale and underdone. I don't know if you've ever had an underdone bagel but they're vile; doughy, dense, smell raw. Terrible. Even with requesting toasted bagels, they still weren't properly cooked. The cinnamon raisin I was able to eat because it was at least cooked through, but the everything bagel was uncooked in the middle and went in the garbage. The space is a little small but clean and the windows with all the spread and salad displays - AMAZING. Service was good and our food came out fresh. The bagels were toasted and you could taste the quality. Hubby and I tried the sesame bagel with lox spread and extra salmon, the everything bagel with bacon cheddar cream cheese. Our four kids shared a plain bagel with Nutella chip cream cheese. We also got a berry mango smoothie for the boys to share, Hubs got a cold brew and I got an iced caramel latte. I enjoyed my food, wish it were a tad bit closer to NJ prices, BUT, it's NYC, so I chose to fugghedaboutit. This is the first time to this Bagel Pub and my first was to the little known location on the corner of 36 st and 4 ave. For some reason the 36 street location is not easy to find on Yelp. I find everything in Park Slope in general a little grungy and tired looking. It's not an industrial look either. The location on 36 st looks bright, new cleaner. This is a much larger location with cafe seating in the back. In term of being COVID-19 ready, everyone had masks on, signs posted at the front door, Hand sanitizer available, all the customers were properly masked and did a decent job social distancing. There is cafe style seating available out front and picnic table type garden seating in the back. Service- was ok, the staff was efficient although they were not outgoing or super friendly. It was more like a production line. I like when there is interaction and the staff strikes up a conversation. Food-I come here for one thing and that's the bagels and lox. This time I had a whole wheat bagel, lox and walnut cream cheese which were all excellent. I'm not sure how great their paninis and wraps are. I imagine it depends what you put inside. I also had the Immune Boost juice which is carrot, celery and Kale. It was good and they have a very good selection of juices, smoothies, coffee, teas etc. The hours during the week are a little odd 6:30 am to 3:30 pm although I understand they are geared up more for commuters and cater to more of a breakfast lunch crowd. This is the BEST bagel shop in Brooklyn. My niece calls me a bagel snob because I expect every bagel to taste like the bagels at this location. Not only are the bagels delicious, but the staff is amazing. The friendly greeting you get from all the staff just adds to the experience. Watching the friendship between the workers is lovely. Momma Jo is the best. She is loved and respected by her colleagues and customers. Even as I am waiting on my order, I see her interaction with the other customers. The people who work here have customer facing jobs, but you'd never know it from their demeanors. The woman who works at the front seems to be friendly and pleasant with coworkers, but can't be bothered to say hello when you arrive to the cash register, or respond "good thanks" when you ask how it's going. I come here regularly and she has never spoken to me during any of our transactions. Not a word. Not a hello, not a thank you, not a you're welcome, not a how's it going. Zero pleasantries from specific staff at the register are the reason I am giving this bagel shop one star. The people in the front who are customer facing make it difficult for me to leave a cent of tip, which is not fair to the workers who actually make and assemble the bagels. Bagel Pub is a good spot if you're in the area. When I lived in NY I took my buddy to my favorite neighborhood bagel spot and now that that roles are reversed he took me to his. I tried to replicate what I used to get. A bacon and egg on an everything bagel and another bagel with garlic-scallion spread. They didn't have garlic-scallion, so I got a garlic bagel with bacon scallion spread instead. The bagels themselves were pretty good with a soft, chewy core with a nicely boiled outside. The everything bagel though was all right, you know how a good everything bagel will taste like, well, everything? The bagel here was okay, with a burst of onion every other bite. The garlic bagel was definitely tastier, getting a single flavor bagel brings the flavor out. I'm not a big coffee drinker so I appreciated they had flavored iced teas. My first visit I got their strawberry iced tea which was a little on the sweeter side but was basically gone because it was so good. I cannot believe I've never written a review for the Bagel Pub! This little shop is beyond amazing. They make fresh Brooklyn bagels every day. There's also over 10+ cream cheese flavors you could choose from to smear the bagel of your liking. You could also even add lox or get a bacon, egg, and cheese! Bagels are soft in the middle with the perfect crust. FYI, my mouth is watering while I write this review. Staff works hard and are attentive. They get super busy here, so there might be a wait, but trust me you will not regret it. One bite into a bagel and you will never go to another shop again. I love these bagels so much that I have to buy a few dozen to bring to family and friends in Massachusetts (as per their request).
