Surprised i havent reviewed this place yet?? Its my go to in my neighborhood and i have had many a bagel from here. Will an NY bagel ever compare to an NJ one.... That i cannot answer. But i am a huge fan of the spread of vegan cream cheeses they have and think the bagels themselves r fab, def the best in the nearby vicinity - and clearly i'm picky!!! Love my freak vegan sausage and vegan strawb cream cheese on a cin raisin bagel

This place should definitely be higher rated on Yelp. I wouldn't give it 5 stars because the bagel isn't one of the best in the city but it's still great! Very happy I came here and I'd definitely say it's one of the best in the prospect heights/park slope area. Got the everything bagel with scallion cream cheese, cucumbers, and tomato and it really got the spot. Great chew on the bagel, perfect ratio of cream cheese, and very fresh. Not overpriced either. My partner got one of the breakfast sandwiches and also really liked it. Everyone who works there is also really friendly. Great drink (and random snack) selection too. Would definitely recommend!

Zaatar Bagel with Zaatar Cream Cheese (~$6) with tomato (75¢) and cucumber (75¢)

Ordered: Zaatar Bagel with Zaatar Cream Cheese (~$6) with tomato (75¢) and cucumber (75¢) - toasted & scooped out Aya's take: Being Middle Eastern, I was shocked that I had never heard of this place considering this is the Home of the Zaa'tar Bagel! They were pretty busy considering it was 11am on a Sunday but we were in & out in 15 minutes. The Zaatar Bagel was quite dry and you get that aromatic, earthy, and slightly woody flavor from the zaatar on top. For some reason, the Zaatar Cream Cheese had an essence of truffle. I didn't mind it since I'm a fan of this flavor profile but it just wasn't what I was expecting. The zaatar was definitely not very strong to taste; I would've liked more herbaceous, tartness (from sumac), and richness. The tomato & cucumber were a must as it added a fresh bite and crunchy texture to every bite. It was a good try but I would probably try something else next time. Stop by and support this local Palestinian-owned business! FYI, bring cash if you want to save the 3% surcharge on credit cards.

If you are excited for the vegan option, don't be. I waited longer than the 3 people behind me for ... this. Ordered with ketchup, no ketchup. And they cut in half one small vegan sausage lol $11 I'd be embarrassed as a business to have this representing me, vegan option or not.

This has quickly become my go-to bagel spot in the neighborhood! The za'atar bagel with scallion lox cream cheese is super addicting. Quick service and lots of different bagel and spread options!

Zaatar Bagel w/Olive Cream Cheese is amazing. The flavor of the bagel paired nicely with the cream cheese. This was recommended by the gentleman who took our order and he didn't steer us wrong. I'd totally go back to see what other unique flavors they have and when in doubt, ask for a recommendation and be adventurous. You can tell this has been around awhile, the shop is quaint and you can see the age and history here.

    Sesame seed + za'atar cc ($6)

I came around noon but apparently that was too late as they were all sold out of the za'atar bagels. Fortunately, there was za'atar cream cheese, and I absolutely fell in love with it. Initially I was leaning towards the black truffle cream cheese, but I asked the staff member taking my order which they would recommend and they immediately responded with za'atar. My sesame bagel with za'atar cream cheese came out $6 and it was worth ever penny. The sesame seeds had a nice toasted flavor and the bagel had an excellent deep brown color. The texture was not too denser and the inside was nice and springy. But that cream cheese, wow! It's nutty, it's rich, and the tang you usually get from the sumac is tempered by the cream cheese. In fact, it makes the cream cheese taste even cheesier and savorier, thanks to the marjoram and oregano. I will definitely be back to try their za'atar bagel and black truffle cream cheese too. But the za'atar cream cheese is definitely worth a trip over to Olde Brookyn Bagel Shoppe.

    Fort Greene on bagel

Second visit to this hectic bagel shoppe. The line is always long so don't pop in expecting a quick takeaway. The line to order wraps around a tall display shelf. So you are unable to see the menu until moments prior to ordering. Be prepared to decide very quickly! The shoppe offers many cream cheese beautifully displayed in mountainous dishes inside a cooler. Today was the Fort Greene sandwich served on toasted everything bagel and chive cream cheese. The avacado and turkey was plenty. Skimpy on lettuce cheese and tomato. My two friends receieved their individual sandwich in order of the ticket number, while I was skipped by five numbers. Finally the cashier called my ticket to clarify that I wanted the pepperjack cheese listed on the sandwich description. Mind you I didn't modify my order . So again I was resigned to waiting as my friends paced on the sidewalk. The service requires improvement. The sandwiches are on par compared to others in the neighborhood. Price point is high at $19 for a turkey sandwich.

Cute storefront with lots of items for purchase... like a bodega plus bagels. No seating at the store, but lots of tables nearby when open streets is ongoing. The bagels lacked a bit of something and were quite white. When toasted they we're burned. I'll save my bagel fix for the next stop.

    Turkey panini

Got the vegan sausage egg and cheese and husband got the turkey panini with peppers. Both were awesome!! The staff was really nice, they get busy on weekends especially so the wait was kind of long. They have nice outdoor seating as well.

One of the best bagel shops in the area. Large menu. Be ready with what type of bagel you feel like. The service is quick and easy. And the cashier was friendly. Mr. F (Pastrami, fried egg, lettuce, red onion, and cream cheese on an everything bagel.)

Soft chewy bagel, flavorful spread, perfectly crispy bacon and quick friendly service. What's not to like? My order: ~$9 Everything bagel Siracha scallion garlic cc (special of the week and great!) Bacon, extra crispy

A nice bagel shop! Expect NYC prices, because you'll get them! We popped in for a coffee and bagel late AM. There are a lot of options with both bagel and toppings. The service was great! There's no indoor seating, but 2 long benches right outside, where we sat comfortably and enjoyed both the coffee (very good, by the way) and bagels.

I tried the za'atar bagel, which I'd never had before (has lots of spices on it), and put egg whites, cheese, and tomato on it.
