Corner bagel spot on Lawerence street, street station is up the block. Plenty of space to sit. I ordered a lox bagel with cream cheese and onion. I also ordered "the heart healthy" green juice. My order came out super fast. Both the bagel and the juice were good. I would come here again if I was in a hurry and needed a quick bite.

Super small amount of cc for $9.75

Picked up everything on the bagel with lox scallion cream cheese. Why and how that possible that it was super small amount of cc? And they changed $9.75. Plain bagel cost $2 so for extra $7 I'm getting small drop of cc. It's cheaper to buy cc by pound and just put amount that you like. Of course I will never come to this place

Bagel. The New York classic. I find that there are 3 ways getting one. 1) from a deli / food cart, 2) Costco and make it yourself or 3) you come to a dedicated bagel restaurant like Pio, Liberty or others. Pio Bagel focuses on the bagel and provides options on customising your bagel to your preference. There are many many spreads to choose from and at the end of the day, you really can't go wrong! One thing I can appreciate with Pio Bagel here versus others is that the add ons are not as overpriced as the city. And on that note, its consistency gives it the rating it deserves. A+

After a very disappointing Sunday morning start with no means of conveyance caused by MTA NYC Transit's weekend route changes for planned work, I turned around and headed home abscond without a one day city getaway adventure. In extreme tears and hunger of my travels I decided for one garlic bagel with lox spread cream cheese $5.72. Customer service is nonexistent as the order line and pick-up line is chaotic and the staff stands at the counter without any greeting or the standard "how may I help you?" I was in a very melancholy and despondent mood and standing without a welcoming greeting made my morning worse. The lox spread cream cheese is very pink with very minimal salmon. The lox spread was awful whom NYC Mayor Adams' food offering of bagels to the NYC high influx migrant crisis who would surely refuse. This bagel shop does not carry actual salmon per se. The bagel was very chewy and the exterior was hard. I did not taste any garlic flavor. The atmospheric conditions are dark, stolid with minimal seating. Price is reasonable.

Toasted Jalapeño Bagel with Scallion Cream Cheese and Egg

Needed to grab some bagels early morning before work and stopped by Pio Bagels. I was worried the line was going to be long, but it actually moved very fast and I was in and out within 5 minutes. I ordered the Egg and Scallion Cream Cheese on a Toasted Jalapeno Bagel and it was very okay. The egg wasn't very fluffy and the bagel itself was kind of hard. I will say that I appreciate the scallion cream cheese though as it was extremely melty with large chunks of scallion, although I will have to say that it was laid on less thick than other bagel places. I think the most staggering part of this bagel was that it was almost $8 whereas other places it's usually around $5. I will say that if you order online apparently you get a 5% off. Overall, okay bagel place. Not sure if I would come back again because there are definitely other better options in NYC.

Wanted to grab some bagels for breakfast (because it's the breakfast of champions) and stopped by Pio Bagel. Ah, the signs of an efficient bagel/breakfast place- staff quickly moving people through the line, ringing them up, slathering cream cheese on fresh bagels... you gotta love it. I got 2 bagels (one with nova/scallion cream cheese and the other with lox spread)- all together including tip, it was about $24. Bagels were fresh and delicious- the nova was super flavorful and the lox spread did not skimp on the lox. Solid deli!

Every time I visit New York, I absolutely must eat a bagel. Preferably an everything bagel with herb or scallion cream cheese. Luckily for me, Pio's was very close to where I was staying and they had the exact combo: everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. The bagel was nice and chewy (plus, I got one out of a fresh batch, so it was hot!) and they didn't skimp on the cream cheese. The cream cheese had nice pieces of scallions, which I loved, but if you're into more smooth cream cheeses, this one ain't for you. Service was quick and easy. Would return for sure to keep trying their other cream cheeses and bagels.

Had bagels here a few times and they were delicious! We tried several flavor combos - bagels and cream cheese options. (My strawberry cream cheese had full slices of strawberries in it. Amazing!) Service was quick and super friendly. Inside space is really small so they are best on the go. Worth stopping in.

Everything bagel - Sausage Egg Cheese
    Frank M.

Looking for breakfast that was a local spot - a simple SEC bagel. Bagel was great! Sausage however was links, not a patty. Only one thin slice of cheese and not melted. The Hot Chocolate seems like they poured warm milk in a cup, dumped the chocolate mix in, and handed it to me doing nothing else (no stirring, no mixing, etc). I needed the breakfast so it was OK, but maybe Starbucks would have been fine as well. Price for the bagel was lower than I see in NYC normally, but the Hot Chocolate brought it to average.

We wanted to try something different after having explored so many of the typical places in Manhattan and Shelsky's came highly recommended While I was expecting a long wait on a Saturday mid-morning, I was pleasantly surprised to find the establishment with only a few in line before us. Now, I was desperately seeking a very simple belly lox with schmear, but much to my dismay, they didn't have any more belly lox. I was heartbroken and had to figure out a plan B While I pondered, the family quickly ordered a Peter Shelsky, a Great Gatsby, and a Fancy Pants. I crumbled in my panic and jumped in with another Peter Shelsky. We also tried a small amount of whitefish salad and a beet/thyme salad The service was quick and we were able to grab two of the three small tables at the front to enjoy our fare. Soon we were digging in and from the immediate silence, I could tell everyone was enjoying their choices. The bagels were on the smaller side, denser with a firm crust. We did enjoy the bagels, but I could see how someone not familiar with this style may find them too "cardboard-y" I have to say, the pickled herring on the Peter Shelsky was fantastic, but was way too overpowering for the nova and sable. I actually regretted my choice and would order something more sunken next time. (Or get to the store earlier to beat the rush for the darn belly lox!) The beet salad was quite a nice balance to for the bagels adding a bit of brightness. The whitefish salad was solid - a hint of smoke and a creamy puree. Some who prefer a chunkier whitefish salad might find this less than satisfactory, but the flavors were great A cure store, friendly and patient staff, a great first exposure to Brooklyn for the boys. We'll be back (and we want belly lox!!)
