Decent bagel. I've had better, but I've been ruined by the bagel place I used to go to where the things were the size of softballs and super crispy outside and nice and soft inside. I try not to hold the fact that "Welp, they're not Ami's" against other places. Their lox spread was kinda middling. Overall I've had better, but it hit the spot after standing in line for two and a half hours at Brooklyn Tech to spend another two hours taking an MTA test. I was STARVING. They were very efficient and the guy working was nice. They also had a decent selection of bagels left for noon on a Sunday too. read more

Brooklyn has so many bagel shops. You see them on every corner. I'm not a fan of bagel, but I am a fan of eggs and cheese. When I saw "Bony's Bagels" I thought "yes cheese." My first bagel shop visit in Brooklyn and it was the wrong one. When I walked in there was a small crowd. I'm not speaking about the bagels, I didn't try them. But judging by the crowd, there good. I order a sandwich and the guy taking my order was no pleasant or friendly. I've given good reviews for businesses with bad service, as long as the food was good......do you see we're this is going. The guy from the back brings out my sandwich, waving it in the are like it was a lighter at a Jay-Z concert and asked was it mine. When I sat down to eat I quickly moved because I noticed a small bird next to me chirping, I guess the bird was looking for that worm. Once I avoid clear and present danger (movie reference) I sat down to eat. What a disappointment. The sandwich was bland. I never put ketchup on my egg sandwich, but it needed it. That didn't even help it taste better, the flavor was lost under the strong flavor of blandness. I was so surprised because so many people come in. If I come for a bagel, I'm sure my experience would be better, but for now, this place is for the birds. read more

I'll be more then happy to give this place it's first 5 star review. I mean honestly, nice staff, great coffee, orders expedited quickly, and the place was simple and fast. Seriously for a bagel spot that's all you need. Honestly, it doesn't have to be gourmet it just has to be consistent and good quality. Also a little pricey with the small black iced coffee but really fucking good/. Don't be afraid to try this place... they do a good job at being simple and great. read more

Simple bagel shop. No frills or hoopla. The one thing I am noticing is that with this shop and many others you must go out of your way to express that a small swipe if cream cheese is all that you want. Also cash only. Minor inconvenience but expected out here. It's a great grab on the way to the train. read more

Basic bagel/sandwich shop. Service is always very fast and pretty friendly. Try the specials. Shop is cash only, which helps speed things along. There is a small seating area. Tip: try the chicken salad on a roll, fully dressed with salt and pepper (or take it home and hit it with some dill and celery seed). Are there places nearby where you can get better bagels and sandwiches? Yes. But at this price point, you really should have nothing to complain about. read more

This place looks awful on the outside. However, I live in the area and sometimes my time management skills encourage me to grab food while hurrying to the train. A bagel with cream cheese here runs $1.95, and is actually pretty good! I don't think they bake their own bagels, but whoever does knows how to do it! The service on a simple bagel is really fast, too. This is an awesome place to grab a bagel to go, but I don't think I'll ever bother with anything else on the menu. read more

This is my go to spot for a bagel and cream cheese or salad for lunch. They are much more affordable than other spots in the area. The location is small, wheelchair accessible and the door pushes inwards to enter. They have a variety of bagels and pastries (muffins, croissants, etc.). They also provide soup, salad, sandwiches, and have some individual sized chips and beverages. Salads are usually under $8 and a bagel is under $2. They sell coffee, teas, and other beverages and now accept credit cards. read more

I just moved to the area and this morning, I stopped in and had a cinnamon raisin bagel, toasted, with cream cheese. I wasn't expecting much, I just needed a bagel - but I was more than pleasantly surprised. The bagel was fluffly and chewy with big raisins. and it was only 1.80 - a great deal. They have the best strawberry cream cheese I have ever tried. There must be a secret ingredient. Besides that, the staff is usually kind of friendly (depending on the day) and it's never too busy for a quick pick up. They also have great iced coffee. The one negative is that they allow people to cut in line by handing the cashier cash, which is kind of rude to the customers who are waiting in line. I only frequent this establishment for its salads, not the bagels oddly enough. I typically order a mixed salad with the fixings for a little over $8. Quick service, no fuss, no muss. The staff will banter with you, which is cool and makes you want to visit often. I definitely have to try the rest of their menu soon. read more

I came here occasionally for basics like egg on a roll but today some unfamiliar guy working there a annoyed me to the point of not going back again. There was a miscommunication in my order and I called to ask them to make it again and he got really upset. Seriously, you're going to pick a fight over a something that probably costs .50? So after I got off the phone I got that sinking feeling that he was going to do something gross to my sandwich. Now I don't want to eat it. He also kept calling me mami (no he's not Latin) in a creepy way and that really aggravated me. read more

Love the bagels, coffee and pastries...especially the black and white cookies. It is across the street from me so I go here all the time. Recently they have a new counter woman. I loved all the guys there before. This woman though, you can walk right into the store and stare straight at her...she won't say hi just ask what you bought to pay. Very cold and rude. No smile or greetings EVER, and my boyfriend and I go almost everyday. It makes me not even want to walk in sometimes when I see her. read more

This is the third and last time I visit this establishment. The food is ok, price is good but the staff is my problem. There are these two guys that feel the need to flirt with the female customers (all this unprovoked). They start calling you "mami" and looking at you all googly eye, ugh! Is it too much to ask for some professional behavior? I don't appreciate being harassed when I order lunch!
