I bought reading glasses and sunglasses. Another family member bought distance glasses and they gave us a great deal on the second pair and added another 20 percent off if we bought the designer frames. It ended up being less than the no brand name glasses. The optometrist was very thorough and was a good listener to what your eye problems you have. He referred me to an Optomologist Dr Foster in Oceanside. I saw Dr Foster and he was excellent. Extremely knowledgeable and explained things very well. The staff was nice and the exam was relatively quick. Thought I'd give them a chance as they had a lot of brands and inventory. The issue I had was my prescription was wrong. I did give it the allotted time to see if they'd get better but they didn't. Went back to see if it could be fixed, they scheduled another appt with a different person and told me to give it another week. Still bad. I cancelled the appt, and only until recently went to my previous optometrist. I gave them the prescription LensCrafters provided me with and they said that it was way off and that my prescription had minimal changes from the last time I was there. It felt good to be reassured that my prescription in fact was drastically off. Be your own advocate!! If something doesn't feel right, get a second opinion. read more

After my eye exam, I decided to give this store another shot (after a very bad experience here several years ago). After all, staff evolves and maybe it would be better this time. I needed two new pairs of progressives and since I get my eye exams here, might as well try. Both of the people on staff were with other customers, but the doc informed them I was ready, so I started browsing frames. While I was looking, a couple walked in off the street. One of the associates finished with her customer. She practically tripped over herself to get to the walk-ins, completely ignoring me as I stood there with my selected frames. As the second associate finished with her customer, another walk-in got the red carpet service and I was again left standing like an idiot. When the third person came in, I just asked for a copy of my prescription, checked out, and left. I hope their commissions for the walk-ins was huge to make up for the permanent loss of my business. The best thing Lens Crafters has going for it is the ability to get glasses in one day. I was in desperate need of a new pair of glasses and they were able to take care of that for me. I like the style and color of the frames. The staff is very kind and courteous and they fit you for your glasses pretty quickly. The only thing I will say and why I gave it 3 stars was that my glasses have not retained their springs or their ability to stay on. They fall off all the time and therefore get scratched often. Pretty disappointed. I have been in several times to have them adjusted. The adjustment lasts about an hour and then they are back to falling off. read more

I should be given this location 3 stars just for the massive confusion and mini stress I went through getting my prescription. But Jose and Lisa really took good care of me and fixed the issue right away. It is a little confusing when you are given all of your options on which lenses to order and what's the benefit of the different lenses. I was of course in a hurry and should have pushed a little more for the information. My fault. When I went to pick up my glasses, I saw an ad that said I could get another pair for 50% off. Ended up with a pair of prescription sunglasses. This is where I probably should have taken my time and asked more questions. And also should have requested the spare lenses that came with the sunglasses. I did end up calling and requesting them. I want to thank the staff on the day of my exam. I came in there sick, but wearing a mask. Left my glasses hooked to my suitcase and the bag got checked on the plane.‍ I went a week of wearing glasses that were over 10 yrs old and could barely see out of. Anyway, the staff was courteous and professional. Would love to tell you that they have a great selection of frames to choose from but I never get past the RayBans. Well they didn't call me when my contacts came in I had too Finally call them and I know this because the receptionist admitted that she didn't know why I had not been called 3 weeks earlier. When I came in for my appt to fit my contacts I waited for an hour + to see the doctor who 1- wasn't the doc who I had seen twice before this. The girl at the front desk was very Nice and apologized for the wait but the doctor who saw me rushed me thru the appt and clearly did not have the time to explain why I was overlooked with my New lenses. This last visit I actually needed my prescription removed from a new pair I purchased a few months ago and just have regular lens placed in their place. I just recently had cataract surgery and no need for the prescription. The ordered lens was going to take longer than I expected so when a identical pair of sun glasses came into their inventory, Carissa called me and said she could install lens from the new pair of sun glasses so I could have my sunglasses for my trip. I went in for my first consult with the staff and Dr yesterday and I everyone was very kind, efficient and knowledgeable of their line of work, Dr Dale Kimball was the provider that saw me that day and he was very attentive and specific about what prescription I needed because of my eyesight, which I am very thankful for. The staff that checked me in to the staff that sent me off after everything was finished made sure my visit was fast and let me know the estimate of everything and explained in depth as to way my estimate came out to its established total, Derek was the staff member that explained all of that to me and he is definitely a valuable team member to have there. First, Dr. Tayman was extremely professional and helpful in conducting my eye exam. He was extremely patient with any questions I had about my vision and LASIK. His professionalism and conciseness to help me understand my vision problem in unmatched. Lastly, the optician named Felix that helped me was some of the best customer service I've ever received in my life. Felix was super eager to help me pick out glasses and answer any questions. There was no pressure at all and he reassured us that he would be there to help in any way he could. When I checked out Felix made the process seamless and easy, he even let me know that there was a 30-day window to change the frames if I didn't end up liking them. I don't appreciate the slow customer service they provide. I came in on 3/27 to just pick up my glasses and contacts. I don't understand why I have to wait more than 20 minutes just to collect the products I paid for in advance. After waiting for so long I asked the lady in the front if I can just grab my contacts and glasses.. nothing more (and would only take a minute). Apparently they can't do that for whatever reason. However they will be sure to collect your payment in advance of your contacts and glasses being ready. I knew I should have ordered my contacts and glasses from somewhere else. Even Costco would have been 10x faster. Lesson learned though, I will not be coming here again. read more

"Lessy" made me wait over 30 minutes after telling me that we were 3rd in line to be seen. People continued to come in and I asked when I would be seen. She said that people that are coming for pick up have priority. I guess we would've waited for the constant stream of pick ups with no end in sight. Awful. Also, there hygiene is questionable. Saw lots of hands touches lots of people's faces and no sanitizer. I also witnessed three people use the same device and staff did not wipe down after every use. Hard pass.
