The on-site staff "doesn't handle billing" and the torturous process of trying to contact the billing department (which is located in the Eastern time zone) involved multiple phone calls over several days with 15-30 minute hold times leading to my leaving a v/m which was ignored ("Due to staffing issues, wait times are longer than usual. Leave a voicemail if you can't continue to hold") And this was just to prove I'd already paid the bill (through my bank) a month earlier. I finally got through to someone today only to hear, yep, the letter was sent in error. Ugh, life is too short to waste my time with a company that refuses to staff enough to correct their own mistakes. Any company can bill in error but when the process to correct the error becomes this onerous, I'm done.

Answer is No and also no explanation why my appointment is cancelled. Seriously improve your system and customer service! Seem to only want to help when they can bill your insurance... Lame! I'll go anywhere else moving forward

I cancelled and then ask to reinstated. They refused and dumped me as a patient. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- About 3 days before the planned cataract surgery, I got email instructions from North Coast Surgical Center about how to preparer for FOOT AND HAND surgery. This freaked me out because, if they cant get that right, what else are they going to screw up? I called and complained. A nurse called from the surgery center to explain. I also got a voicemail message from Dr. Foster. They are closed on Friday and over the weekend, so i could not talk to anyone. I started digging into available info about the surgery center. Their NEWSWEEK rating for Ambulatory Surgery Centers had dropped from #11 in 2021 to #59 in 2024, by 2025 they had slipped to #63. During this period, they were bought by United Healthcare. I was somewhat freaked out, and decided to cancel,. I tried to provide as much notice as possible, to minimize problems, so sent an email on Saturday to cancel. By Monday morning, I was less freaked out, so called the office to reschedule. I talked to a surgical scheduler/manager, Sherry, who told me, and I paraphrase, that: Dr. Foster did not like me researching information about the surgery center, and no longer wanted me as a patient. My surgery was cancelled. This is not an exact recollection about the cause, but they no longer wanted me. I am going to contact medicare to see whether they can charge if they decide to cancel me. As a patient for eye surgery, I believe that I have the right to gather all available information about doctors and surgery centers. They are working on my eyes and I don't want any problems. As a private practice, they can certainly refuse to treat me as a patient if they want to do so, but I started this investigation because of errors on their part? Why dump me as a patient?

They were very friendly and very informative to all of the patients. I was impressed. I recently got new glasses (at a different place) and it was not a good experience . The office staff here did not push an upsell, she gave options and suggestions with supporting reasons why she made the suggestions. They were very thorough, very friendly and guided us through the process. She was super knowledgeable and patient with the indecisiveness whilst we tried on numerous glasses. I had a pair of sunglasses (that they didn't prescribe) that had a broken rubber nose pad, she happened to have a replacement that she gave me. She was really helpful in suggesting frames and was honest about how they looked. His new glasses look great and he is happy. Next year when I need a check up, I will come here (hopefully they take my insurance). It's seems really hard to find a good eye Dr with a nice office staff. There's a good reason for all the recent positive reviews!

Life-changing…read more.. After a brain injury (TBI) five years ago--right at the start of the pandemic--I struggled daily with balance and vision issues. It took over two years just to get off the waitlist for Vision Therapy, which meant my condition went untreated for far too long. During that time, I rarely felt confident going out on my own, driving, or even working on my computer due to constant eye strain, headaches, and intense dizziness. When I finally had my first appointment in October 2024, I was reassured that improvement was possible with patience and consistency. Fast forward nearly two years, and I can confidently say that Vision Therapy--especially the weekly sensory table sessions combined with daily eye and brain exercises--has made an incredible difference. I noticed a small improvement after my very first 30-minute session on the sensory table, which gave me hope. From there, each week built on the last. Dr. Dukes recommended 36 sessions, and by around session 20, I already felt about 80% better. Progress is gradual, and everyone's experience may differ, but for me, the improvement in balance and visual comfort has been remarkable. The exercises done at home are just as important--consistency truly makes all the difference. Taylor has been exceptional throughout this journey. Her guidance, encouragement, and expertise kept me motivated every step of the way. She not only provided effective tools and techniques but also took the time to listen and offer genuine support. She's an incredible therapist, and I'm so grateful for her care. The sensory table sessions themselves are deeply relaxing. You can choose to have music or simply enjoy the quiet. Lying back under soft red, blue, and green lights, allowing your eyes to gently track their movement, becomes a calming and restorative experience. Light therapy takes time, but it truly works. Staying committed to the process is key--and for me, it has been absolutely worth it.

I've been going to the office for more than three years and tolerated a lot when it comes to the "store"- this last couple of experiences are forcing me to go elsewhere. I was promised a $200 credit if I ordered my contacts through them, making it cheaper than ordering them online. I was told I would receive an email. Email never came and to be honest, I don't have the time to chase it down. When I finally went back to the office, "there was nothing they could do" because it was past the 90 days. I was also told that I would get a refund if I returned any unused contacts. A refund is a refund, however, when I tried to return the unused contacts, $217 worth of them, I was told it would only apply to a store credit and new contacts. Well, I have no interest in ordering new contacts nor do I want to purchase glasses from you- especially since I tried at least 50+ pairs and didn't like any of them. I took my Rx elsewhere and I ended up with two pairs for glasses for less than the cost they were quoting me for a single pair. Everything was an up charge and they weren't willing to work with me. So, I was basically out $417 for trusting them. Never again. My recommendation is to find another ophthalmologist and purchase your glasses elsewhere.
