Great employees and an excellent selection of frames. I was helped by Christina but numerous employees helped me make a decision. This is my second year using my eye benefits here and I'll be back again next year! I even returned the same day to ask if they could re-run my card as I had forgot to add an Amex benefit earlier in the day and they were happy to do so. Wish I had read the reviews - because they are spot on. Overpriced, car salesmen mentality staff. My glasses, promised in 8 days, were not delivered on time. I had to call them to find that out. Oakley frames I picked were 'not available' they said. Sounds like they are sending the display pair to the technician. Really? How nice. No estimate of when they would have the glasses done - said they'd call. Guessing much like the last time, I'll have to call them. An hour my foot! I have. Even waiting almost 3 hours and my glasses aren't ready. Next time it's Walmart! I'll pay less, and at least my glasses will be ready when they tell me. At the 4 hour mark they were still telling me another hour. I was so mad I left. The price of One hour service is built into the cost of the glasses, that is what you are paying for. If you don't get this within reasonable amount of time you should get a discount. After this I am no longer a customer of LensCrafters! read more

Was sent a discount coupon and tried to use it for my new pair. This would be the fourth pair since last November. Before we even got started I was told I could only buy with a script from the last 12 months. I only get an exam every 2 to 3 years. There is no need for me to go every year. Went to the mall (I hate going to the mall) specifically to get a pair of glasses. Sears, JCP and Lenscrafters were all at the same end so I was able to look at all of their frame selections before going to Lenscrafters - best selection. Did not wait long before I was assisted by Rose. She was very helpful. I spaced out the fact they had 1 hour service. NICE - I did not have to go back to pick the glasses up! Almost no-one in the shop when I selected the frames and options. Service was fast. Shop was very busy when I returned an hour later to pick them up. They had enough staff to fill each fitting table so after signing in I waited for 2 minutes before I was given my glasses and headed out the door. I will go back when the time comes to get another pair of glasses. read more

Used their on-site optometrist who wrote a prescription for one year (wasn't aware of the one year until today). I broke my prescription sunglasses and it has been 14 months since my exam and I can't get new sunglasses without paying for an exam because my insurance covers and exam every two years. Now I know to ask about the optometrist's expiration date prior to scheduling an exam. I've lived all over the country and never had a lens prescription expire in 12 months! Also, I paid substantially more for the glasses at lens crafters! Most of my scripts either didn't expire or expired in two years! I don't believe AZ requires the script to expire in one year.....just a ploy to get more money. I'm pretty sure people are wise enough to schedule an exam when necessary. read more

I did not have a good visit. I went in to look for new glasses that was my first mistake. The sales person keep showing me very expensive glasses. She also kept says terms in had no ideal what she was saying. I did find a reasonable price frame it just got so complicated with this and that and my salesperson was getting frustrated with me. I haven't been to LensCrafters in many years - I was on a trip and wanted to get glasses done in a day - the price of their frames is outrageous - I don't mind that they carry the top designers with top prices but when the least expensive pair of glasses you carry is $100 then there is something wrong. Not only that but the staff made no effort to offer service - I had to go to the person standing at the counter and only got "yes, no, and I don't know" answers. I was also disappointed that once I had my prescription from the eye doctor ( who was wonderful) in that office that they just said "we don't have that strength lens" - no effort to check another store or offer any suggestions. Would never ever return to this store or recommend it - I am normally a "if you can't say something nice" sort of person but this was sub-par customer service. read more

I was told yesterday I needed glasses which were my first pair. We went in and were greeted by kind staff who made the process so simple! They offered their personal opinion with the glasses we couldn't decide between. I ended up leaving with my first pair and they I got a text in less than a half an hour to say that my glasses were ready! Loved the selection, it's really good for 20 somethings. Don't let the bad reviews discourage you. We had a GREAT experience and will be back when I need a new pair:) read more

DO NOT USE THIS LENS CRAFTERS! We paid a lot of money for prescription sunglasses and eye glasses! We live 40 minutes away! I received a text that my glasses are in. My husband drove to pick them up? They told him they only have my sunglasses! He leaves 10 minutes later I get a text glasses are in! My other glasses were ther. THEY NEVER EVEN LOOKED! We will never use this place again! Terrible! I received the wrong prescription after paying for an eye exam. I brought the prescription elsewhere as the Lenscrafters employee that I was set up with was not knowledgeable at all and very unprofessional. I ordered glasses elsewhere from the Lenscrafters prescription...and when they came in, I could not see at all. The script was TOTALLY incorrect. I paid for a second eye exam with another optician (different eye place), and the new prescription was a huge difference. I was shown the difference in the two scripts and it was like night and day. I called Lenscrafters to make them aware and that I would like my money back for this error. I am 70 years old and do not have money to waste. Lenscrafters is recommended by AARP....but seniors....don't go there!!!! They will not refund my money and they are trying to say maybe my eyes were dry that day...and other excuses. They also kept referring to a particular doctor that examined me.....which was not the doctor that I saw!!!! My experience with Lenscrafters has been a disaster. I wasted my time....and paid them for a botched job which is costing me more money. All I got was excuses..... I scheduled my appointment for a eye check with Dr. Lisa Reyes, but it turns out I was given Dr. Robin Blank instead without mentioning that fact that he was substituting in. His talk with me was very scripted and rushed. I had trouble figuring out which power was clearer and I could tell he was getting annoyed. "Well I went over this ten times already, you need to decide." I know we did NOT go over it ten times, it was more like 4 times. This is not the type of service you would expect since their prices are expensive. I had a vision check with contact fitting for a total of ~$180. This is not acceptable. I asked him questions along the way because I was concerned with my vision and he gave me half ass answers ( an answer that didn't really answer anything, i.e. he didn't know). Then I had my contact fitting and I could not see a thing with my right eye. He made me feel like I was lying because "we had already gone through all the vision corrections, you would be able to see clearly". Also I wasn't even asked to come back a week later to see if the new contacts were working for me, which was interesting. During the paying part, they have worded their sentences so that it made you feel like you had to pay for a 2 year supply of the contacts, even when I wasn't sure if I liked them in the first place. I was asked twice to make sure that I didn't want to pay for the 2 year supply, because "it was a good deal". In Summary, DO NOT GO HERE. I have been coming to this Lens Crafters for years and was really disappointed today. There is a lack in customer service and the way I was treated when inquiring about retrieving my prescription after I had my eye exam there before a change from Maricopa county's insurance. It was almost like they didn't want to help me/give me my prescription because they weren't going to be making the sale with my insurance now changed and no longer accepted there ... even though I had my eye exam there before the changes, and I had called in advance to see if i could go in to retrieve my prescription to take elsewhere and they told me yes read more

I was very impressed. I went in just wanting to know how much it would cost -- my insurance covered most of it. They had me seeing a doctor and getting a prescription with 10 minutes.
