I came in to get a updated prescription and decided to try ordering lenses through them, they tried to sell me on ordering a full year and dropping $500+ AFTER my insurance and before my "rebate" - i went with a 6 month supply because frankly... the rebate process always feels a bit intentionally complicated and scammy like they DONT want you to actually figure out how to get your rebate. This ended up being the case of course, went through all the steps and then i entered in the type of contact lenses i purchased... it says im not eligible for the promotion. I emailed Pearl Vision, haven't heard back - so instead of paying $100 for my 6-month supply of contacts after my rebate refund, i paid $219 with no hopes of being able to get my actual rebate back of $119. Will come back to see the eye doctor but will NOT be purchasing contacts or eyewear from them in the future.

Called to inquire…read moreabout co-pay while debating between visiting them and visiting Costco and wanted to confirm that it would in fact just be a better idea to establish as a patient at a doctors office but clarified that we needed a contact lens fitting. Came in and verified insurance, had exam, and all of a sudden, as we're ready to leave, they asked for almost $400 more than what I was told on the phone as my co-pay PLUS an additional $45 for a "contact lense training" for a new wearer. Mind you, ALL of what they did, the exam, eyeglass script, and lense fitting (with new contact lenses wearer), would have been $120 each at Costco WITHOUT insurance. They literally LIED to me to guilt me to pay SOMETHING saying they could lose their license if I did not pay for service rendered or if they gave a discount. Not to mention, they were running late and the entire visit lasted longer than a typical Costco visit. What a waste of time and now I have to keep my fingers crossed that I can take my vision benefits to Costco in order to get a contact lens fitting without having to pay twice. Better frame selection at Costco and Eyeglass world as well as other shops.

While I was explaining that I had recently been in the office with my son, she repeatedly interrupted me and kept asking, "Was it America's Best?" instead of allowing me to finish speaking. As someone who runs a business myself, I understand how important front-desk staff are. The person confirming appointments is often the first impression and the face of the company. Because of that, professionalism, patience, and basic courtesy matter a lot. During the call, I was simply trying to explain that I wasn't sure whether my own health insurance includes vision coverage as an adult, but I do know my son's vision care is covered through VSP. Instead of being able to explain that, I felt like I was being talked over and not heard. The interaction felt uncomfortable enough that I ultimately called back and canceled my appointment. If someone is already confrontational or dismissive over the phone, it's not someone I feel comfortable dealing with in person. I rarely take the time to leave negative reviews, but the experience was unpleasant enough that I felt it was worth mentioning. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as interactions like this can easily discourage customers from returning.

I felt like they truly cared about my eye health and they went above and beyond performing tests I have never even seen and providing education and recommendations along the way. Maria is the best! I've been coming to her for all my vision care needs for more than a decade!…read more She's always super helpful and knowledgeable. She does things to take care of her customers that no other place would do. Due to poor planning on my part- one time I was heading to a wedding out of town and realized I ran out of contacts. I didn't want to wear my glasses to this event so I called her. She gifted me a new set of contacts to use and when I got back my next contacts order was waiting for me. Another time she changed contacts vendors and gave me a pair to try to make sure they felt right before she placed the order. But that's not all! She is also an expert in fitting frames to a face! I remember early on, my wife would not allow Maria or anyone else help me pick out glasses. Over the years she has seen Maria in action and tended to agree with her on selecting the perfect pair of glasses every time. Now she doesn't even go with me to pick out frames because she knows Maria does an amazing job taking the most current trends and styles and fitting them to my face year after year! Arrived at noon to be told we were scheduled 12:30 and 1pm. Waited half an hour and looked at frames only to find they're the same frames at other places but twice the price. $225 for the lenses seemed a bit much. At 12:30 the eye doctor still hadn't arrived so we left. While we were there, 2 other women arrived. One was doing glasses with her while we waited. Another woman came in, wasn't even greeted. Anyway, I asked at 12:35 if the eye guy was going to show up and we left. She was still saying they booked an eye exam doctor like if he has a 12:30 appt shouldn't he have arrived earlier? No thanks. We tried but we won't go there again. I'll do my own Union paperwork. Sorry but no. Now im as grumpy as my husband.
