Offer refund within 30 days. Bought 2 pair and exam. $650 They make you pay extra to keep this concave view built into glasses that restrict you're view. When I got my glasses I couldn't see out of them at all so blurry. I had them mailed to me I live an hour away. So I returned them for a refund but they won't refund my exam which is no good to me. I can't use it. I couldn't waste more time to go back to them which is what they wanted but I just wish they did their job correctly the first time. I'll bet they have refunded exams before but they just argued with me since I didn't want to deal with them they won't refunds me $85 Unacceptable is not a good deal don't trust ads. read more

I hate giving bad reviews for a short interaction but the whole thing stunk. I was visiting Phoenix and needed to get a nose pad fixed. Called the place and explained we're from out of town, but the person just said "go to where you bought them". I said I'd pay and got no respond. I stopped by anyway to see if they can help and spoke to a different person. They said they couldn't help me because they were closing. It was like 6:30 and sign said they were open until 7. 30 minutes for a 2 minute repair when the store was completely empty. Luckily Vision Center at Walmart across the street fixed it in minutes FOR FREE. Go there! read more

Disappointed in the service I got here. This is the first time I switched up my optometrist in over a decade (due to my insurance changing). Eyeglass world accepted my new insurance and was close to my house so I figured why not give them a shot. I will not be going back. My first sign of bad customer service is when i walked into the front door and no one greeted me. Even though NONE of them were with any guests. The second thing is that after I was finally sat with the representative Shila to order my glasses, i gave her the paid i wanted and she placed the order. She was talking to the representative next to her the whole time which is probably why she messed up my order and ordered me the wrong glasses. After waiting the two weeks to finally get my glasses, she told me that I had to pay an additional $30 because the glasses I ordered were more expensive than the ones she ordered me. I asked if she could make an accommodation or give a discount since all of this frustration was caused by her mess up. She was unwilling to order my new glasses unless I paid the difference. I definitely won't be returning after my new glasses arrive. read more

My wife was in need some glasses. We walked in the building about 10:10 AM Saturday morning. Blonde lady sitting at the counter, asked if she can help. We advised that my wife is in need some glasses. We need examination and some glasses. She asked if we had an appointment and we said no. The lady at the counter stated next availability was at 3 o'clock. Remind you there was only one customer there and a few employees standing around. . My wife and I went to a different location. The lack of motivation to take on a new client even if she stated we can sit down and wait for a little bit and she'll get to us in a minute. No motivation. I went to American best. I was taken care of by walking within 45 minutes or less. read more

I went here because it advertised quick service. Fast forward 3 weeks. I have no glasses even though I was charged almost $700 for the buy one get one free promotion. I tried calling to be constantly put on forever hold. I do remember when I was there they were joking about how much the person on hold called and laughed at how long they were willing to hold. I guess I never thought it would be me. I disputed the charge on my card and looked at my prescription. I still need to see a new doctor because she said she ordered samples to try before she'd write me a prescription. I don't know if they forgot to order my stuff because you can't get a hold of them. They must get commissions on the order not the fulfillment. read more

I NEVER write reviews but I had such a terrible experience here than I had to make an exception. I booked an appointment online for an eye exam for 5 PM. I arrived early, but spent the time selecting my new frames before I was taken to the waiting room for the exam. I was not taken for my pre-exam testing until 6 PM, with the explanation that the optometrist was not in that day, so my appointment was with a virtual tech, which somehow takes longer. I was never informed when I booked the appointment that I was not booking with an actual optometrist. Once we finished up the pretesting, I was taken to a different exam room where I sat with a screen saying a remote tech would be with us in 2 minutes. After about 10 minutes sitting in silence with the person who was running the test in the office with no update on the screen, she tells me that if the remote tech did not log on in the next few minutes, the remote techs have likely closed for the day and we would need to reschedule. Apparently it is very normal for them to close without any notice to the in-store staff and there was no way to contact them. It was 6:30 at this point and my appointment was at 5 PM. It probably goes without saying that I did not elect to reschedule my appointment and instead left without an exam and without new glasses. What a colossal waste of time! I cannot imagine how anyone thinks this is a sane way to run a business. read more

I'm am absolutely thrilled with my new glasses. Dr. Offoha was very exact in my eye exam. Took her time, no rush rush. Shawna discussed with me about what I wanted as far as lens, coatings, antiglare Explaining all the details. She checked before I left to make sure that she had the lenses in stock, told me that my glasses would be ready at 4pm. And I received a text message that my glasses were ready at 4pm. So putting them on was amazing. I can see distance , At 80 years old, I just accepted my vision as aging. Boy was I wrong. I'm still working and I drive everyday, so going to work the next day, I smiled so much my face almost hurt. DO NOT COME HERE! I am so mad and so over it to write out everything. But between simply not ordering my contacts in the first place. Refusing to give me my prescription. Horrible customer service. Then losing my contacts after I was told they were in! Do not waste your time! GO ANYWHERE ELSE! I wrote this while waiting for them to find my trial once they did the manager looked me in the face and lied to me and told me I can't be angry because they were on backorder. She forgot that we had already had a conversation and she told me that they just forgot to order them when I reminded her that that's not what happened and that one of your employees didn't order them she said oh no I remember you are right that did happen! I decided to try Eyeglass World for the first time. I had previously gone to Costco but am no longer a member. Location was covered under my Medicare advantage for annual basic eyeglass prescription, glasses and frames. I've worn progressive trifocals for years. I'm not sure who the guy was that took care of me but he was very rude to me, to other customers and to at least 2 employees in front of me. I had the basic testing done then picked out inexpensive frames. He kept looking at his watch and hurrying me along. He got my insurance info and then he said, how do you want to pay the ~400+ balance, I about fell off my chair! I hadn't expected that and had never paid that much, after insurance paid. I had no idea what the return policy was. When I put my glasses on, they were way off kilter. I told him the 'dot' markers must've been put in the wrong place. He just looked at me then bent my glasses (the frame) which made it worse. Then he said I'm going to have to wear them further down in my nose and if I don't then it'll take at least 3 wks until they can fix them (it already took a month for this pair). So I went home with them to see if I could get use to them and the new changed prescription. Nope! And then I was told I had had only 30 days to return (not from when I got the glasses but rather since the purchase) so if I chose to return them I would need to pay for a whole new pair!! That was last year. I didn't wear those glasses. I just now got a new prescription and glasses at another place who told me my vision hadn't changed from the prior one 2 yrs prior to going to Eyeglass world!! So not only was my prescription wrong at eyeglass world but my insurance (which hasn't changed) was covering my complete bill! So I was scammed out of $400+!!! I was told by someone in the business that they've heard similar complaints about the same eyeglass world location. So word of mouth, this location 19th ave and Bell rd in Phoenix AZ sucks. read more

If you're into rude employees, incompetent staff and being treated like you really don't matter, then this is the place for you!! I literally had to file a criminal complaint against 2 employees when it should have been a really easy experience. Oh, and talk about being hypocritical? You're only told to mask up if you're not a friend of an employee....yeah, there were 2 people unmasked while everyone else was reminded over and over again.... I went over to NationWide and received top shelf service that was easy and enjoyable from start to finish. Do not recommend this place for glasses. I came here in an emergency because I lost my glasses and saw they make them same day. The customer service was horrible. I have a small face so I asked if there was a section or particular brand that makes smaller frames. While no one else was in the store and the manager sat at the table, he told me no and that I'd just have to look through them all. My eye doctor was going to email me my prescription but he insisted they can not accept an email. It had to be faxed. Now mind you, if they emailed it to me and I had it printed out, he would have accepted that. I had to call the eye doctor back and explain this bizarre rule and beg them to fax it over. After a lot of back and forth, I was able to get it to them and could start the process of ordering the glasses. Once I picked a pair, the rude manager was busy so another employee did the fitting. She put that device up to my face and was pressing it so hard into the bridge of my nose, I squirmed a bit. She pressed harder. I said ouch. She took it off an rudely told me if I didn't sit still, I wasn't going to be able to get glasses. I'm 44 years old, not 4!! I told her she was hurting me so she pulled the device back and looked at it as if there was something wrong with it and not the force she was applying. Didn't see anything and tried again. This time, I was able to stabilize myself on the desk in hopes that would help me keep still long enough for her to get the measurements she was trying to take. She still pressed real hard and it still hurt but I managed to get through it enough for her to be done. Once she did the write up, she told me the glasses would be ready the next day because they had too many orders from the morning. In the 2.5 hours I was there, I saw them get into it with a family over their eye doctor appointments, heard them being rude to a customer on the phone, and jerk an older man around telling him what he wanted didn't exist when he clearly had it before. If I didn't need glasses fast, I would have walked out after my first 10 minutes here. Glasses are ready! I go pick them up the next day. My $400 glasses came in a flimsy plastic container with a thin piece of foam on the bottom, no cloth rag to wipe them with and definitely no spray. I'm still not happy with the glasses but at least I can see. I can't wait until my insurance resets in a few months and I can get glasses from a reputable place that will help me find a pair that works for me, be nice to me and care that I'm satisfied when I pick them up and walk out their door. We came here about 10 months ago and bought 2 eyeglasses. When doing so, they offered a one year prescription for the glasses. However, we call them today and they claim the warranty is only good for one year after the prescription. They never claimed it was one year after the prescription, they said one year. They completely refused to help us, even though we were still in our warranty time. read more

Very friendly staff and many great options. I got an exam and took advantage of the buy one get one. I also picked out an extra pair of sunglasses, all with one year warranty. With no insurance, everything was under $600. I got both of the prescription glasses same day and I'm looking forward to picking up the prescription sunglasses next week. I'm giving an extra star because I like Dr. Offoha. Very nice and thorough. I will come back for eye exams but I will never buy anything from them again. I went in for some help this weekend and they pretty much convinced me never to come back. I've bought two frames and purchased lenses at least 5 times, plus contact lenses. I recently had to get progressive bifocals, so I had to replace some of the lenses I previously bought from them. I once considered this my go to place but after how I was treated, I'm done. They barely went out of their way to help me with my issue and did it with a lack of friendliness. I was considering getting a new pair of lenses THAT DAY but I didn't have enough money in my HSA. I forgot to ask about my eye insurance while I was there, so I called back to find out how much the lenses would be if I used my insurance. All they said to me was, "All insurance plans are different." I said, "I have Eye Med.". Again, they said, "All insurance plans are different." Okay, so they're not going to check it out for me, fine! I won't buy anything then. Easy peezy! These decisions aren't hard to make. read more

I took my daughter here last year purchased two pairs of glasses and insurance for them. Fast forward and she breaks them in April and I brought them back in to get them replaced. I was told 10 days. I waited and never got a call back after 3 weeks so I called. They never ordered the glasses. I wait another 2 weeks and again no call. I was told one pair was getting sent and the other pair was almost ready. Fast forward another week and I had to call again. Apparently they didn't have a staff and had to borrow managers from other locations. So I went in and the new manager informed me that the glasses weren't available anymore and attempted to tell me it was past the date for insurance to replace them (even though I brought them in over a month prior before it expired) After telling him it was their fault for not ordering my glasses in time he offered to replace the glasses with a new pair. So picked out a new pair. Mind you when I called they told me the glasses were on their way... but that was a lie. Fast forward 3 weeks later I get a call from the same manager saying they were never ordered! Yes this is not made up... He apologized and by now they already lost my future service. The manager acted like someone else messed up when he was the one who took my order. I waited in total over 3 months for some damn glasses and was not compensated for anything. Very unorganized and unprofessional. Never again! read more
