i visited visionworks off happy valley and they were absolutely amazing and saved my night! i had called same day to try to get an emergency eye exam because my last pair of contacts broke and i had a concert that night! they were able to squeeze me in for an appointment that day even tho they were pretty busy with appointments. they really went above and beyond for me and i'm so thankful!! all the workers we're extremely kind and attentive! absolutely my best experience at a visionworks! read more

They eye exam was great, the Technician and Optometrists were outstanding and very knowledgeable. That's why I usually go there. However the guy up front was horrible. Even though I was going to pay out of pocket, He seemed like he didn't want to show me any glasses and was very short like he didn't want to help me. It's the first time I ever left without purchasing glasses or contacts. I don't recommend dealing with this Visionworks other than for eye exams. This is the second bad experience I had with the people selling the glasses at this location. read more

Scheduled an eye exam for eyeglasses, the exam was okay, but the people working the front were terrible for helping you pick your eye glasses and making sure they fit you nice. When I ordered my eye glasses, I tried to pick them up and the woman working the shift locked up 10 minutes early before closing, all she apologies and said sorry i cant help you were closed!, so I came in the next morning at 10AM, the same woman was there, and handed me my eye glasses and said; see how they fit and let me know?, she got up and walked away, didn't even bother to check fitment on my face or offer to help, instead she went off to help somebody else. Talk about rude customer service, people suck sometimes. After I got home and tried wearing my eye glasses, they had a blurry halo around the left eye, and the computer screen appeared worse than how they felt off my face. I took them straight back and returned them, now I have to wait a month for a credit on my VSP insurance, Ill never again go to this store. Went I for an eye exam for contacts, they did an exam for glasses (which I told them I didn't need) AND contacts. They charged me for both exams even though I asked for contact exam. I was asked what brand of contacts I had, I wasn't sure so I said I would call them to let them know when I get home. I called, girl that answered said the Dr ordered my trial contacts already soooo..... I told her I was supposed to call when I got home, which that's what I'm doing. She said the place is closed and shes just closing so she can't look up my information. I'm wish I went elsewhere, this is my first AND last time coming here. read more

Truth is, the Doctor and his assistant deserve 5 stars, yet the Sales Woman was so bad, it knocked this Visionworks down to 1 star. I haven't been to a Doctor, much less and eye doctor for decades. I'm very healthy, eat healthy and exercise regularly. I decided that since Dental/Vision are the only insurance I have on myself and pay for every check, I should have my eyes checked now that I am 51. My eyes are fine, I only need reading glasses, paper says I need +1.75, you can get them at Walmart for $10.00. Now after seeing the Doctor, the sales woman for your glasses gets your insurance and BAM tells you to spend as much as you can. She doesn't seem to care at all that the Co-Payment keeps going up, until a simple pair of reading glasses(which I will say looked awesome) would cost out of pocket $251.00(over$700.00 without insurance)!!!! LMAO!!!! READING glasses. Not needed for driving to wear all of the time, etc., even the Doctor said so. I could see MAYBE paying for stylish Frames and extras on lenses IF they were needed all day, every day. She just went for the big bucks and they most likely get a commission. I will NEVER go to another Visionworks because of that Sales woman. I don't care how awesome the Doctor and his assistant were. They need to ASK what you may be looking to pay for glasses, ESPECIALLY if only reading!!!! Consultation folks, That part is important. read more

I was with my wife every step throughout her eye appointment. She repeatably told every person what she needed for her glasses. When the glasses came in they were not correct. Instead of correcting their error, ordering the proper lenses for her glasses, they told her the prescription is correct, it will be additional money to do what she asked. We already spent about $2oo about the insurance for what she needed. We tried to explain it is not the prescription, it's the lenses don't have the proper settings for distance, close up, and to see the computer screen she needs for work. Her old glasses had it. They would not take responsibility for their mistake. Funny, even another reviewers positive review says it took 3 times to get the glasses correct. They're suppose to know what their doing, why wouldn't they know it wouldn't work? read more

Appointment was fine until the optometrist portion. It felt very rushed and she only spent 5 minutes on my exam. There was no one else waiting to be seen, so I didn't understand what the hurry was. I won't be returning. read more

We had excellent service; both the staff in front and the optometrist were all great to work with. My son and I both found frames we like thanks to the staff giving honest opinions & suggestions. Glasses arrived quickly. read more

Lady flat out made fun of me while trying to sell me glasses at the same time. Other employees have been very helpful. I haven't bought anything from this place but I give it five stars because I was walking by and decided to go in and ask if they would tighten my sunglasses even though I did not buy them there, or at any vision works for that matter and they did for free and were very accommodating about it. Absolutely awful. My appointment was in January for contacts. Was flirted with by the tech and made me uncomfortable. When it came down to it my trials weren't in stock so the tech told me he'd order them. 3 months later and several phone calls the guy flirting never finished my profile and my contacts were never order. No appointments are ever available. Received a voicemail stating I need to reschedule my appointment after the 3rd time I rescheduled. Called back the women "May" had no explanation on why I could even schedule the appointment in the first place if the doctor won't be in "that late". She the hangs up on me. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL! Avoid this place at all costs they truly don't care about you. I've tried to get in contact with the management but again no one seems to care. I will update with names once available. read more

I went for an eye exam because I had something in my eye and the doctor was great. Then I purchased 2 sets of glasses and paid over $880. After 3 weeks I called to see if they were ready and they had LOST my order so had to reorder. After a two more weeks of waiting for the new order I tried them on and the prescription was completely off. It made me feel dizzy and the prescription was completely wrong. So they decided that they "couldn't fix my new prescription" and would go back to my original glasses that I wore when I first walked into the store. After 2 more weeks waiting, I went in to pick them up and these, too, were off - even though they "copied" my original glasses. I decided enough was enough and was able to get my money back but I WILL NEVER go here again! read more

I think the ratings on here are very harsh. The ladies that work here are lovely when I went in. I,admittedly, have a large nose lol and the lady explained why my current glasses are not going to fit on my nose and why my bridge needs to be about 19' don't make fun of me hahaha. So after putting on a pair of higher end glasses that I requested I walked up and asked the two Woman if they thought it looked good? They both said yes and told me why the shape of them fit my face properly and I actually agreed with them. Picking out glasses can be so stressful and nerve racking because they are big purchases and you don't want to look stupid wearing them so when the ladies were honest with me about which ones didn't look good and which ones did I could genuinely appreciate that. I know some people may be sensitive to the truth but I would rather them be honest when I ask for honesty than sell me on a pair that I will later hate and cough up more money. As soon as I walked in they asked if I needed help I said I was just looking and they didn't press me just said let me know if you have any questions. I decided I wanted to book an appointment and she immediately found my insurance and let me know how much coverage I had. I felt like she did it in seconds and was extremely knowledgeable on the type of insurance I had. This location is getting a lot of flack for bad experiences but I think this is unfair. Remember these people don't make the rules, they don't set the prices, and they are just doing their job. Getting angry at them because glasses aren't getting shipped fast enough or get lost in transit has nothing to do with the workers. I think it's hard to differentiate those things at times but we must remain objective at all costs. Went into this Visionworks to pick out some frames for my husband's glasses. The front desk lady rudely informed us that masks are required. Which is ridiculous because you can't tell how glasses will look if you're in a mask obviously. We went over to Walmart nearby and bought 3 pairs of glasses and 2 pairs of prescription sunglasses for over $1200. The staff there was so friendly and helpful! Night and day difference. I had a good experience here and will be back. It took 3 tries to get the glasses right as for some reason the frames I chose would not work with my prescription or the lab couldn't get them right with the frames. I give credit to the staff as they listened and worked with me to get glasses that were right. read more

My husband and I went to this location for the first time. He was very pleased with the DR and the customer service. They were very helpful and he was able to find two pairs of glasses. It was more reasonable then the other company we went through. A very pleasant experience and would definitely recommend this place. It was clean ,organized and there were many choices to pick from. read more
