Dr. Trinh was very short with me when I asked several questions. She was very off putting annoyed and almost defensive at the questions I asked. This is my eyes my healthcare and I know my family eyecare health history so I had concerns. Not only that but the prescription was wrong. But she was so rude. I didn't even wanna go back to her. I should've called and got a different doctor to have a recheck. When I did ask her about possibility of a recheck, she was very harsh and annoyed with me. Hubby needed new glasses so off to LensCrafters we went. Rachel was extremely helpful, she listened & answered all our questions. She made helpful recommendations in sunglass frames, hubby's first time actually buying prescription Oakley sunglasses not just regular progressive/photo grey glasses. We did run into an issue when it came time to pay, the computer was having issues & was unable to accept the credit card payment. The manager (I think his name was John) tried to assist but the issue was unresolved. We left with reassurance that we would not be overcharged & that everything would be ok. The next morning the manager called to inform us the order had not gone completely through so we told him we'd check with the credit card company & get back with them. After a couple of calls everything was finally sorted out & taken care of. And through all the issues hubby received both new pairs of glasses in less than a week! Glasses for my 11 month old...something I never expected and had no idea where to start. Luckily Rachel at LensCrafters was the perfect person to help us! Knowing nothing about baby glasses (or glasses in general) we initially went to target optical and had a bad gut feeling about it. We decided to walk away and check out LensCrafters...boy are we glad we did! Upon entering the store is light, open, and full of stylish options for glasses and lenses. They had perfect baby glasses for our 11 month old which no one else seemed to accommodate. It was totally comfortable and when Rachel came over to help us out she was so knowledgeable, sweet, and easy to work with. She made the daunting process easy for us and explained it all so we knew just what to get for our little girl. We weren't happy about our 11 month old needing glasses, but our experience here actually made it fun and we can't wait for her to get her frames and see better! The store is neat, clean, vibrant and welcoming. The front is the shop and the back has lots of exam rooms for those who need optical exams then and there. The prices are not Walmart low but they have sales, deals, work with insurance and have payment plans if needed. ***Be advised that during the COVID 19 pandemic, you need to call this location, ask for their current hours and if they can serve you. They're allowing emergency orders, first responders, essential workers and may also be able to see you depending on any special need.*** I needed some new prescription sunglasses and regular glasses for both work and play. LensCrafters is a great place to shop because they have a ton of frames to choose from, and they custom fit each frame to you. Their custom fitting allows them to adjust the focal points of each lens, to where your eyes would use them most effectively. This is especially important for No Line Bifocal / Progressive lenses. Normally, I just get the sunglasses from LensCrafters and get my other glasses from Costco. I prefer Oakley sunglasses for my current profession, both on and off duty. For the regular glasses, since I mainly need them for distance, I just get simple black frames. This time, I wanted to spice things up. They did have some sales, and if you have a VSP plan, they also include a special discount. Jude helped me during my visit; he was friendly, knowledgeable, and explained my lens options well. Jude gave me all of the pricing, measured each frame set and submitted my order in virtually no time at all. I think I was only there for about 40 minutes, and I ordered 5 pairs of glasses total. The showroom was clean, bright and well organized. They had an impressive selection of various designers to choose from, with different price-points for the budget shopper as well. BEWARE: MEDICARE FRAUD ALERT! I believe this place is committing Medicare Fraud and exploiting elderly patients like my mother. They tacked on unnecessary upgrades to her eyeglass order, saying, "The more we bill, the more Medicare will pay." Wrong! Medicare denied the upgrades, something they would have known if they had any grasp of Medicare's fee schedule or her Medicare Advantage coverage. But it doesn't stop there. At the time, they couldn't even bill Medicare, citing that they would have to wait 3 weeks before they could bill for her glasses--possibly due to loss of accreditation? That day, they made my mother pay $1,700 for two pairs of lenses (no frames). They wouldn't even apply their own 40% off second pair discount, falsely assuring her that "Medicare would pay." After 3 months of follow-up, they finally billed Medicare. Another 5 months later, my mother received a meager $416 reimbursement. That's all that was covered! This isn't just unethical; it's fraud. From the CMS Website: What is a form of Medicare Fraud? Knowingly ordering medically unnecessary items or services for patients. Don't give your business to companies like this. It's disheartening that a big name like LensCrafters would exploit the elderly. Now I feel I must attend all my mom's future appointments to prevent her from being taken advantage of or scammed. read more

BEWARE OF HIDDEN CHARGES. My visit to the optometrist went well. He was nice, however, ordering my glasses was a different story. Stella was the associate who helped us with ordering our glasses. I told her what I wanted and she typed it on her little iPad. I looked at my receipt when I got home and noticed a $34.99 "One Year Eyewear Protection Plan" charge on my receipt and my daughter's receipt. Stella didn't ask if I wanted this protection plan. I would have never used it because I was unaware she even added it on. I was furious. I called LensCrafters that same day but Stella had already left. Austin ended up helping me as I vented my frustration and anger with him. I told him this was wrong for Stella to add charges on the sly. Austin reversed the charges for both me and my daughter. He was very helpful. So just make sure to check your receipts for any extra charges. You can't trust anyone. Stella should be ashamed of herself for stealing from people. read more

If I could give 10 STARS...I would So It was time to make an appointment for my glasses, I was slightly apprehensive as I got older, so I decided to get myself prepped and signed up on the https://www.lenscrafters.com/ just to see what I may have for options. I walked in and was greeted and directed to the girls behind the open entrance. They were very friendly and helpful with my insurance and photo id. I was directed to sit until the assistant came for me which was not even 5 minutes. The young lady was quick to whisk me back to an examination room and quickly and efficiently ran me through a gambit of machines that I thought were more comprehensive examination then I have had in 20 years. I was even given an option for retina scan for cataracts for other retina diseases. For my African american heritage its always a great idea. and for $29.00 I did not flinch. So as I waited for the doctor to come in I was still taking mental notes of the Highest and Most Professional level of Customer Service I have encountered in many years. Which brings us to Dr. Blank, a very nice man that did such a great job in the final exam I was impressed and told him so as we finished. Note - Great idea to window shop and be able to add your own vision insurance to see what you potentially will be paying. So it was a great Idea that paid of and gave a great start but with my prescription limited selection (lighter scripts would have kept my Oakley options larger). Another Phenomenal Experience I have ever had for vision the entire staff from the wonderful woman my age with glasses who helped me fix giving incorrect method of payment. A smiling face in great looking frames was from My Dude Austin (Kool Kid who knows his stuff) took care of me and was patient as I took multiple selfies (I believe the number was 19) to send to my wife for her opinion. So after much back and forth we were able to make a great decision which I am am anxiously awaiting the Next 7-10 days for a text. How Awesome is that, I get a text when my glasses are in and ready for me to pick up. I may consider Lasek as the price is finally in regular peoples budget. And could lesson cost of glasses with a more corrected astigmatism now with my HSA Card I did not flinch when we checked out. Overall One of the best experiences I have had in 20 years. I was very disappointed with the customer service I received. Dr. Summerhays was great & very patient, his prescription was perfect. As I went on the floor to purchase frames & lenses I was given a tray to select my frame, there was no explanation of what was covered by Eye Med. I was then given a young, inexperienced Girl with the name Ashlii. I told her what I wanted & it took her forever to put it on her tablet. I also asked her for Polycarp but found out she only gave me a plastic lens. I also had ordered Sunglasses, she reluctantly got up to get samples. They called me much later to pick up my glasses, however, my Sunglasses were not tinted, you would think they checked them first! I finally picked them up yesterday. They don't even tell you with a friendly greeting that it would be a few minutes. My overall experience was not good. read more

Dr office inside LensCrafters -This store allows their employees to bring their non service dogs to work and let's them wonder without proper leashing. I was very uncomfortable when the dog approached my 1 year old son and blocked the animal from my child. Nice dog or not my young child doesn't know the difference of being gentle or rough. Incase my 1 year old son reached for the dog and startling the dog I wanted to avoid any possible accident. I then told the owner of the dog my son may or may not be gentle so I'm trying to keep him away from your dog. She then asked if my son would kick her dog? Being honest, I told the owner he may. I am not sure what my one year old would do if her dog continues to come near my child. The owner of dog (the eye Dr. Of this building) then told me "she will kick my son if he kicks her dog". Another office staff said "she would smack a child across the head if they ever kicked a dog". I was so uncomfortable and shocked medical professionals would even say this. I finished my appointment and reported the issue to the office manager. I do not feel LensCrafters should allow non service animals in the building or let their employees bring unleashes animals to work. read more

Secondly, all three of these professionals makes the shopping expertise fun and efficient with stylish recommendations. I've been going to this lens crafters for years and I've always had a good experience until today.. The doctor was kind and he worked quickly but the associate Stella(or so it says on my receipt) wasn't very communicative, she never told us our options and wasn't informing us about what we were getting. The eye doctor was excellent, efficient and Knowledgeable. The glasses selection process is a scam. I picked out some frames and was quoted a price of $550! After insurance it was $510! Really? Frames were $210 retail minus $60 and 20% off the balance with Eyemed plan. That right there is a $90 discount. I won't even go into the rest. The glasses should have been around $300 tops. Ok, I get the whole glasses scam. I've worn them my whole life and with the exception of a few good years after lasik, I've always been tied to them. Drives me crazy to go to my optometrist and have him show me frames that "retail" for $250 but my insurance will cover "most" of it. I can go to Costco (and I typically do) and get a complete pair of fashion frames and lens for about $150 and then I have to file the insurance paperwork-no big deal. I've even bought a couple of pair on Warby Parker.com for about $100 each-again, great glasses. However, I need (want) a pair of good prescription sport (read:Oakley) sunglasses for biking and triathlons. Against my better judgement, I made a special trip to the LenCrafters only to be put off by the arrogant clerks and the OUTRAGEOUS pricing. Lens alone for Oakleys, (please make sure you're sitting down): $390, plus $120-$250 for the frames. Target, WarbyParker, Costco: all better options than this. True they don't carry Oakley but $500 for a pair of prescription sunglasses is crazy. 2/10/2014 update. I stand corrected. Target's optical ship is owned and operated by Luxottica so they have Oakley, Ray Bans, etc. Bought a pair of $99 sport glasses and got transition lens for $200-saved over 50% by going to Target. Great selection of true name brand frames, excellent pricing, and fantastic service. read more

We got very lucky as far as insurance coverage goes for new glasses, but without it, the prices here would've been absolutely absurd. On top of that, the quality of service here is pathetic. The employees are severely lacking in any sense of professionalism, courtesy, and even general knowledge of their own products. Where to begin...I've never been a paying customer where the vendor could not provide me accurate and consistent information. The last three times I've used this store, my glasses have been overpriced, delivered late, and no one seems to care. They offer empty apologies, without any change to their program. This last visit, over the course of a week, I've been given three different dates for delivery. What happened to "glasses in about an hour?" Each person I've spoken with from the salesperson whom I bought them from, the salesperson on the phone, and then the store manager on the phone, all have different stories about the situation, different excuses, and nothing more than "I wish there was something more I could do." I tried "chatting" with corporate online, and the website is not functioning, and then I called the customer service line, and they are closed early. I recently had to get new glasses and was really overdue for an eye exam, but due to the pandemic I was really concerned they weren't going to be able to help me. My glasses were completely messed up and the lens were BAD! I couldn't see at all out of them. I had them for at least the last 8 years at least! I called after setting up an appointment to double check I would be seen and they were so friendly after I explained my situation. They said, YES! Your fine to come in and we will see you on - appointment date here-!! I was so happy. So here's how my visit goes--literally like 4 mins. I need new shades and I have a AAA-membership--win win. Just need to pick them out and go, Ray Ban, ALWAYS Ray Ban. I do NOT need a prescription, just the glasses. Husband stays in car because I am gonna be that quick. Walk in, male associate is on work phone, I walk strait to the women's sun glasses. Try on a pair. Try on another pair. Older female associate walks in from her smoke break--literally smoking outside the glass as I try on the first pair--and says, "Have you been helped, we are closing in 15 mins..." and continues to walk to the other side of the store. My husband walks in at the same time and asks, "Did you find any? Have you been helped?" And my response is "NO!" I understand that you are going to close in 15 mins. And that you have lives to live. However, I am a customer, in the establishment that pays you to sell their product. And today, you did a VERY BAD job. We walked out. The female associate went and straitened the one glasses that I didn't face--and then spoke disgruntling to the other associate. Wow!! Buyer beware. Not only are they very expensive but they do not stand by their work. I paid hundreds of dollars for a pair of glasses that I have only had for a few months. For some reason the anti-glare coating is now flaking off of the left lens. I brought them back in thinking they would help to resolve the issue. Nope. They did not care, they would not stand by their work. They told me I needed to buy a new pair of lenses. My previous pair lasted years, these made it only a few months. They are obviously overcharging and then selling the consumer a bad product. Go literally anywhere to buy glasses then LensCrafters. Update: I called the corporate office to talk to them about what happened. I was told the regional manager would call me within 24 hrs. The next day I received a call from the store and they let me know that new lenses were ordered. I now have replacement lenses at no cost and can see again. read more
