Went in for an eye exam. The place was clean and well organized, the Halloween decor was just right, not over the top but not lazy. The two ladies working the front side were polite, the one who did the prelim exam was kind and efficient. The Doctor had some great, fancy tech for eye exams I hadn't seen in other places like Walmart when I've gotten exams there, so that was neat. He was also professional and efficient. My husband and I visited Pearle Vision in Glendale, Arizona this morning and were very impressed. The optomostrist did an excellent job and explained that I would need to see another specialist for another issue I am dealing with. He helped me pick out who I would contact. The front office staff was very professional and efficient. They had a wonderful assortment of designer eyewear and less costly eyewear as well. Luke explained the costs to us and even assisted us in picking out the perfect frame for our face shape. He explained all the charges and I was happy to hear that we had excellent insurance so we did not have to pay quite as much as I was expecting to pay. I learned more about eyewear today than I have ever known! I felt well informed when I left the store and felt confident that we had made the right choices. Whereas I had a decent experience, my husband ordered glasses and just found out that they are lost in transit. Things happen, however, when we could have been proactive in locating them, it did not occur because NO ONE ANSWERS the phone system or calls back after voice messages are left. He found out 12 days ago that they were "shipped". Now, finally I reached the office by calling "to make an appointment" and got through. All the messages and attempts over the last week were left with no one having the courtesy to answer or respond back. Poor customer service. My company benefits gave me options for eye exam and glasses. Never again will I chose this place. Eye exam and doctor visit was fine. Ordered glasses and they came in about 8-10 days. My lenses were splitting from the frame in both sides. I took them back and Office manager Angelica told me they could repair or replace the lenses. I asked for a full refund, and showed her the policy on line. 100% satisfaction. She told me no, that she would have that removed from the website and all I could do was replace the lenses. She also stated that they were only warranted for 30 days. Keep in mind it was over a week to receive them. Again new lenses that had a rush on them took over 2 weeks to get back to me. She upgraded the lenses from 2nd tier to 4th tier. They need to be cleaned 4 times a day and they never come clean using the cloth given with glasses. Emails to her regional manager and corporate have not been returned. I filed a complaint with my company, Better Business Bureau, and State Attorney General's office. Have been coming here a few years and they recently changed their computer system. Unfortunately they did not transfer any patient info over. This is annoying to start from scratch. They should send an email to customers so we can enter our information at our leisure, not before our appt. Or, better yet, pay the money to have client info transfer to new system. read more

I am 65 years old. I went into Pearle Vision for my annual eye exam in February 2025, with VSP insurance and was charged not only $100 for just lenses, Dr. Lopez characterized the visit under medical and charged another $250.00. I was completely blindsided. Nothing was ever discussed that they were going to charge me under medical, AND use the benefits of my VSP insurance. If he had, I would have left and gone to a reputable doctor. According to all the sources I contacted - it is at the doctor's discretion, and most would never do what he did. With insurance, Pearle charged me $350.00 total for a regular eye exam (5 minutes) and single vision lenses without any coatings or extras on the lenses. I had my own frames. I had the VSP plan. Most doctors do not characterize an annual exam as medical in order to collect more money for doing the same thing as an annual exam. Pearle did. In addition, Dr. Lopez made an error with my prescription, and I had to return to the store, and another optometrist corrected the prescription - I think - they never called me to tell me my glasses were ready - it has been six weeks. BUT Dr. Lopez increased my current prescription three times the normal amount, which is unnecessary and made everything blurry and out of focus, and the other optometrist reduced the prescription. A woman from Pearle headquarters in Ohio, after the receptionist at Glendale called her, called me, and she basically said that everything I was saying was wrong, and everything the store told them was correct. This woman who called me from Ohio, who is not an optometrist, nor a doctor, said no prescription will ever be made to help my eyesight (pull the call Pearle). Shocking. She was all company and dismissed everything I said. I have filed two complaints with Pearle. I am elderly. I Do not have my glasses, my money or my frames. I am seeking further resources. Been going to Annalise for 5 years now (first year i got contacts) I obviously have a style in glasses but she makes me get out of my comfort zone to try different styles, colors, and shapes on. I love going to her and she's not afraid to tell me that the frames I chose are not suiting me. My mom and I both love the input. When the glasses arrive she makes sure we get them adjusted so they are comfortable to wear. I love pearl vision and I love my glasses! read more

FINAL UPDATE: 1213/2021 My vision is better than it has been in 20+ years. Aside from learning how to be patient again while quality control checks are in place, I am 110% satisfied. You will wait for your products. It is a small office, but the QUALITY outweighs these fly-by-night places who might not get it right "in an hour". I brought in my own Dior Frames. Even doing the math with 40% off lenses with complete pair... I came out ahead. Dior frames aren't cheap. 10/30 was almost $1k for contacts and 2 different Rx lenses. I brought in existing Dior Frames. Clerk said that they "did not pass quality inspection." This was after I called her, btw... Contacts were in and waiting. I think I will request my frames back, gather my Rx scripts and walk a block to LensCrafters. I NEED MY GLASSES FOR MY WORK. UPDATE: I kept my cool on the phone. Yesterday I got a text message that my glasses were in at least one pair for distance vision I was able to pick up along with my contacts and I understand that my close-up glasses will be in tomorrow. Goldman Sachs probably will have no issue cancelling the excessive cost of LENSES ffs. Hopefully by 12/3 I can just take the contacts that were $$$ and get a FedEx tracking number for my frames. (Because I will sue for my 2 pairs of Dior frames.) Dr. Tang is 5 Stars. I wish there was a separate section altogether. I will be happy to follow her to another practice that is better aligned with her quality and expertise. read more

Worst eyeglass services in the history of glasses. Went to my appointment 12/2 for new glasses over a month ago. The first time I got my glasses back 12/15 they made the wrong script.They made a positive lens instead of negative. You would think that's something you would double check. This 2nd time took 3 weeks still haven't got them. They texted me Monday night the 1/4 at 4:56pm saying my glasses were in they close at five. So I go there first thing in am the next day only to find they are closed. who closes a store all day on Tuesday.I mean why even text me Monday that my glasses were ready why not just wait until Wednesday. I highly suggest you avoid this place at all cost. Pearle is very sloppy... Like a sleeping bag after a long hot summer night. Everyone should avoid pearle like the pleague. P.S. This office in Glendale has by far the worst customer service I've ever experienced. After 2 weeks to get me new glasses,I could not pass a vision test for my driver's license, had to go back for reexamination and 2 more weeks to wait. After the new glasses came in, I needed to Dr to fill out a form to get my license and the email that was sent was never read by the Dr. So with much anxiety and frustration, I was able to get a copy which MVD would not accept. I had to go back for the original. to get a restriction off my license this office accepts no responsibility for their negligence and after filing a complaint it has still been over a month to hear back from corporate. read more

Haven't found a great doctor in a very long time until I came here. Dr. De Mel was awesome. He took the time to explain why I have been having a difficult time finding the right contacts for me. He did my daughter's eye exam as well and explained what was going on with her vision. He was very honest and tried not to get any sale out of us. The staff was also helpful. They were helpful and willing to work with you and the insurance that I had. Overall I had a great experience here at this office. read more

They are never OPEN. I had my exam there and dropped by another day to order my glasses....closed for lunch between 12:40 and 2 pm. So I showed up today at 2:15pm and guess what...they're closed Friday before the long weekend. What business closes whenever they feel like it? Well heck with them. I should of listened to the other complaint about how long it takes to get your glasses back now I'm stuck in the point of no return. With insurance I ended up paying almost 450 dollars for my glasses. It's a lot but the glasses I have now is like looking through a pane of frosted glass so I was in a rush to get glasses. Well that was on 12/18/18...it's now 1/11/19 and I still don't have my glasses. I called in to ask what the delay was and they were honest enough to tell me that they didn't process my order until 6 days later. Six entire days. I wish I would of listened. If I don't have them by Monday I'm charging back the order on my card. Enough is enough. read more

Angelica the new Optomitrist has the worse customer service skills and should be fired. She refused to send my Ray Ban prescription sun glasses back for darker tinting as was promised earlier by another colleague. Now she has refused to have my latest pair of glasses fixed, because I cannot read with them, without get blurred vision and high eye fatigue. Again, no from from MISS NO. I had bought my glasses in Colorado, the magnet for the sunglasses to attach had fallen out and when the store in Colorado put it back in they did it backwards. I walked in the Pearl Vision center in Glendale, they have just recently opened and even though they don't carry that type of sunglasses they were happy to help! The manager and staff are exceptional, they fixed my glasses and I was only way. Great customer service and they have some great frames and awesome deals! Highly recommend this location! read more

Absolutely terrible! We made an appointment to be seen over two weeks in advance. When we walked in, we filled out the paperwork, as usual, but he asked us the same questions that we answered over the phone when we made the appointment. After waiting over an hour, and seeing numerous people who arrived after us, I asked the eye doctor (female) how much longer it was going to be as we had already waited so long. She replied with a seriously rude attitude and a tone and said "well, you're a walk in, so you're going to wait. This is my 11 o'clock appointment, so he's going to be ahead of you!" I was taken back, as my appointment was scheduled for 11, and it just didn't seem to matter. Then, after talking to the person at the front desk (the same one whom I had spoken to over the phone, as well as the one who had me fill out paperwork) said "you didn't have an appointment, so we put you in for the first available." When told that we had called and spoken to them, he then insisted that we called some kind of customer service appointment line. We then clarified that he was the man that we spoke to in the phone, and he then stated that he didn't put us on the schedule. So after pulling kids from school early for appointment, sitting there for over an hour, and then having the extremely RUDE, and out of line "eye doctor" open her mouth about me not having an appointment, I HIGHLY recommend going somewhere else! The service is terrible. The people are beyond RUDE, and they don't take ownership for their own mistakes. Instead, they blame the patient! SERIOUSLY! I will be contacting a Pearle Vision corporate office as well (if there is one) and expressing my serious dissatisfaction with this horrible location. My Fiance & I visited this Pearle Vision November 24th after wanting to check out a different eyeglass place. We had a great experience in the office itself. After that it all went downhill. A month after our appointment I called to check on the status of our eyeglasses as I had not heard back from them to this point. They were all very confused when I called and did not know what happened to our glasses. It turns out there was a miscommunication somewhere along the lines and our glasses didn't get ordered until that day. I was told that they would "try" to have them expedited but they weren't 100% sure they would be able to expedite them. I was told to call back around the 14th and they should be here by then. I called back on the 12th and they had received my fiance's glasses but not mine yet. The associate I spoke with stated they weren't sure what was going on with my glasses and they would check with the lab on Monday and I should expect a call back from them at that point. I never received a call from them yesterday. I called back this morning and they still do not have my glasses. The associate I spoke with today said she would call the lab and call me back in 20 minutes. It has now been almost an hour and she still has not called me back. I don't know about you, but nobody should have to wait over 2 months to receive their eyeglasses. I get headaches constantly and I attribute it to the fact that my glasses are extremely outdated and I'm waiting to get my new glasses. I do not appreciate the lack of customer service that they have shown me and I do not recommend anyone going back to this location. read more
