A few months ago, I was diagnosed with cataracts and he discussed with me the surgical options. He recommended the Light Adjustable Lens. After watching a couple of videos regarding Light Adjustable Lens, I opted to have this done. I opted to do monovision so that I would never have to wear glasses again. I would hopefully see both far and near. I had the surgeries done about a month apart at his surgical clinic. The surgical clinic's staff creates a very clean and comfortable environment and I felt at ease. After the surgeries and after "locking in" the final adjustment, I now have 20/15 vision in my dominant eye, and I can read the smallest print on Dr. Kootman's card. It is amazing. I highly recommend the Light Adjustable Lens. Dr. Kootman is very exact, very professional and very caring. I work 7:00am-3:30pm and the latest appointment they do is 3:15pm. They are open Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:30pm and Fridays 8:00-1:00pm. They do not work Saturdays. 2. I work remotely, a desk job, and my vision would start off fine in the beginning of my day, but a few hours into my day; my vision would get blurry for a few hours, then go back to being fine in the afternoon. The doctor kept testing my vision in the exam room; as in seeing if there was something wrong with my lenses. It turned out my eyes were dry. How can a doctor not know when a patients eye is dry? That is alarming to me. Luckily, he has been patient throughout the process; but is frustrating to see an optometrist who cannot detect dry eyes. 3. If you have an appointment at 12:00, plan to n being there until 1:30pm. The doctor does not see you until 12:45/1:00pm.
