I have prescription glasses and no tint, and that day with errands, it hurt to keep my eyes open because everything was so bright. I had my friend wander into this shop to try and purchase a temporary sunglass thing (that tinted plastic they give you when you get your eyes dialated). They gave it to him for free no questions. Well, he explained I wasn't a current customer and that I was not really in the market for glasses atm. They gave it to him, no problem. If anyone is interested, apparently, in some cases, COVID affects your eyesight and you become super sensitive to light. I never lost taste or smell, but looking at everything felt like I was looking at the sun. (I've recently tested negative. Virus gone. Antibodies present.) Anyway, he told me the two ladies inside were really sweet and refused to let him pay for it. I expected to pay for it, which is why I handed him some money before he walked in. Besides awesome customer service, I just really appreciate a stranger helping a stranger. I love how this place is obviously not all about the money...just helping others. I don't care if that plastic thing is worth a penny to them. All I know is I needed one and they gave it to me. I really hope my eye insurance covers this place because I will be trying to switch over from my current eye doctor.

I called first thing this morning, and the receptionist was incredibly kind and helped me get an appointment right away. I was seen almost immediately and didn't have to wait. The entire staff was so friendly and helpful, and I had a solution within an hour. I'm very thankful for the kindness and care I received from this office during a moment when I was in pain and feeling worried. It truly made a difference. I would recommend them to anyone.

But my wife went in as a new patient, and I asked how it was after she got done, and she said that the doctor was in and out and simply didn't take the time that he should have knowing that my wife was a new patient! My wife won't say anything but, I will!! If you want personal care and it being quality, I would go somewhere else! Arrived at noon to be told we were scheduled 12:30 and 1pm. Waited half an hour and looked at frames only to find they're the same frames at other places but twice the price. $225 for the lenses seemed a bit much. At 12:30 the eye doctor still hadn't arrived so we left. While we were there, 2 other women arrived. One was doing glasses with her while we waited. Another woman came in, wasn't even greeted. Anyway, I asked at 12:35 if the eye guy was going to show up and we left. She was still saying they booked an eye exam doctor like if he has a 12:30 appt shouldn't he have arrived earlier? No thanks. We tried but we won't go there again. I'll do my own Union paperwork. Sorry but no. Now im as grumpy as my husband.

She does things to take care of her customers that no other place would do. Due to poor planning on my part- one time I was heading to a wedding out of town and realized I ran out of contacts. I didn't want to wear my glasses to this event so I called her. She gifted me a new set of contacts to use and when I got back my next contacts order was waiting for me. Another time she changed contacts vendors and gave me a pair to try to make sure they felt right before she placed the order. But that's not all! She is also an expert in fitting frames to a face! I remember early on, my wife would not allow Maria or anyone else help me pick out glasses. Over the years she has seen Maria in action and tended to agree with her on selecting the perfect pair of glasses every time. Now she doesn't even go with me to pick out frames because she knows Maria does an amazing job taking the most current trends and styles and fitting them to my face year after year! You call into a central line who transfers you to 1) a voicemail - and nobody calls you back, 2) a line that rings, then gives you a busy signal and disconnects, or 3) the central line customer service has to create a "task" for them to call you back. So I wait. They were ordering frames so my son can try them on for his prescription sunglasses, we were told this would take three or four business days and it's been three weeks. No callback. No update. And still no regular everyday glasses for either of us! Since this ownership changed the service sucks. For the high cost of their optical options, I expect high end service. Our next time will not be with this optical group. For goodness sake - call with an update if you're behind!

She was beyond amazing like if I could rate her I rate her more than 10 stars. I do see Dr. Golub now. (Not sure if I spelled it correctly) but they did move location, so it is on the new building. It is so much better. The wait line is not excessive but they do get busy like any other location. Come in and they're double booked. But honestly, the wait is not bad. I'm usually in and out. It's only fallen a few times where I did have to wait over an hour. The girls in the front are very respectful, when I have a question or need help, they make sure you know what they answer it. If I need notes from the doctor, I love that it's online now so you can easily grab them on your patient portal and you can easily submit them to the school. My son goes and he gets his drops comes out. We're waiting in the lobby, they bring them back in 30 minutes later they do his test and we're out.! Keep in mind just like any other doctors office you might be delayed but honestly it's really fast and man that guy has a magic fingers. he just move those things like no tomorrow get your reading!
