My favorite Thai place. I prefer the one in Arnold though so go there instead of Annapolis if you can. Parking is easier. You absolutely must have the duck curry if you are a fan of Thai curry. The duck is tender and the red curry with the pineapple hits the spot every time. If unavailable (as it was during the pandemic), try the drunken noodle, but be careful if you are sensitive to spice. In this case I would recommend the pad sei ew, my brother gets that every time and loves it. read more

I'm giving three stars here today. I've been getting Lemongrass on a consistent basis since I moved to Annapolis in November. I always get the same thing Pad Thai and Tom Yum soup. Both are very delicious- usually. Last night I ordered the same order as usual and the soup was extremely citrusy to the point of being inedible and had items in the soup that are not a part of the dish and the pad Thai was extremely dry and the chicken was cold and dry as well. I haven't ordered from here in maybe a month because I've been on a postpartum diet but I was disappointed that the dishes were inconsistent and not as tasty as usual. Not sure if they were short staffed or if they were just extremely busy and missed the mark. Disappointed I wasted the calories but will try again in hopes it taste as it used to. Stopped her for both lunch and dinner recently. This is one of my favorite spots in Annapolis, the environment is fun, they have indoor and outdoor seating, the staff is friendly and helpful, and best of all they know their spice. I've been craving spicy as of recent and they hit the mark for sure. I try to order my food as spicy as possible getting a Thai spicy level 5 and it's right on with what I expected, enough to make your neck sweet but not so much that it doesn't have a good flavor. My go to is the Pad Pik Khing, with tofu (since I'm vegan) with some edamame to start. They have great options all around and good drinks/ dessert, you won't be disappointed going here. read more

This is our favorite Thai place for my mom, step-dad, and myself, and they were so sad that they wouldn't be close to it anymore when they moved to Delaware! Fortunately when I still lived in Maryland they would come to town frequently enough to visit and we'd often go to Lemongrass to meet up. I have basically no tolerance whatsoever for spicy food, but even so I could still never turn away from their crispy green beans - the burn was always worth it haha. My go-to entree was always the asparagus shrimp, a very simple dish with just shrimp and asparagus with a garlic sauce and some rice but still so delicious, and my mom absolutely loves the drunken noodle. Now that I've moved to Arizona a couple years ago Lemongrass has become a very rare treat when everyone is in town, but we still try to go whenever we can! read more

Amazing Thai food. Been here quite a few times now and service is always great, food is delicious. Although I always begin my visit with their fabulous skinny margarita, I love the wine selection here. A lot of Thai restaurants I've been too just have your basic house red & whites. Not here. You can find a perfect selection to compliment your meal or preference. So far my visits have included the spring rolls, fish cakes, red curry, phanaeng curry, drunken noodles, and pad thai. We have never been disappointed. Each dish carries a unique flavor and includes perfectly cooked veggies, meats, noodles or whatever was included. Curries are a personal favorite of mine, and this may be the best Thai curry I have tasted in Maryland. Of course, I'm also a spicy food addict and this is the perfect place to feed that addiction. Unfortunately, I hate to bring up anything negative at this place I love so dearly but my last visit was the first time my significant other and I ever used their restrooms. They were horrible! I couldn't believe this was a restroom attached to such a cute & quaint restaurant. Dirty, old, and the sinks looked like they belonged in a dungeon beneath a creepy house and the smell...oh my GLOB, almost put me off my meal. When we left the restaurant my S/O went off with the same complaints about the men's room. So in summary, 5 stars for food, 4 for service, negative 2 for restrooms, however I'm going to leave it at 4 stars and tell you, just use the restrooms at one of the beautiful Annapolis hotels nearby and avoid this one. read more

Great Food, Slow Service and Cold servers, Very Loud and tight space! Ambiance: We went to this place after a long run around the Annapolis harbor. We have to wait 30 mins for the table and when we were given one, it was on patio. It would have been okay during summer but it was pretty chilly that day so we waited another half an hour to be seated inside. It was really crowded and cramped and tables are pretty close to each other. The whole area was so loud that we were having a hard time hearing each other. Service: The service was super slow. We ordered our food and drinks and served our drinks like 10 minutes after ordering. we waited for good 20 minutes then the server brought the food which wasn't ours. After our denial he figured out that it actually belonged to the table next to ours. we waited another 15 minutes unit our food was served. Food: After waiting what felt like ages, we got our Red Curry and veggie drunken noodles. Let me tell you that the food was mouth watering. The curry was really fragrant and fresh and noodles were not stick neither oily.It was the best drunken noodles I had so far. So the three stars are entirely for food. Bottom Line: Good Thai food, friendly staff and a quaint atmosphere. I landed at Lemongrass in search of a restaurant near downtown Annapolis that was vegetarian friendly. Although the restaurant interior is small, the flavors here are big. With such a varied menu it can be a little overwhelming picking out a dish but I found the staff to be helpful in making recommendations. I ended up sharing the Crispy String Beans and Drunken Noodles. Both were very good and not too spicy. Overall, the staff was very welcoming and attentive. Since this is on West Street, the parking options are either to find a spot on the street or to park in the adjacent Knighton garage. Lemongrass does not validate for parking but it only costs about $2 to park in the garage. If you want to avoid paying to park then checkout Lemongrass Too on Housely Road. read more

When you have the craving for Asian noodles, Thai food is sure to hit the spot. I had dinner plans with a friend in Annapolis and whining about the lack of noodles in my life. Fortunately, she knew where I could get my Thai fix and suggested Lemongrass because she was craving crispy string beans. Okay - I was sold. When we were seated, we started with an order of the Crispy String Beans. The string beans were lightly battered and deep-fried then stir fried with chili, garlic, and five-spice. These were delicious! I liked that it was cooked into the sauce as opposed to dipping the string beans like French fries. I can see why my friend suggested ordering these. My friend ordered Shrimp Pad Thai. The pad thai was very good, but it was the traditional dish, nothing particularly exemplary. But that's a good thing, we were in the mood for basic noodle dishes after all. I like when my food has a little kick, so I ordered the Chicken Drunken Noodles. The wide noodles were awesome and held onto most of the spicy flavor. The menu listed the dish as a 'two chili spice level' which was fine for me, but if you're a spice addict, you may want to ask for them to turn up the heat. When the noodle crave hits again and I'm in Annapolis, you bet I'll be heading back to Lemongrass for some more noodles and those delicious crispy string beans. read more

Honestly, we stumbled upon this restaurant browsing through yelp. It was a great choice for dinner, we came in around 6 and it wasn't too crowded and got seated immediately. The restaurant looks nice from the outside and has some fancy yet simple decor inside. My lady and I ordered the tempura string beans, fried calamari, drunken noodles and pad thai. Our favorite was the drunken noodles, just the right amount of salt and spice to balance the basil goodness. The fried calamari was fresh and fried to perfect crisp, it worked well with the sweet and spicy sauce. We don't think we will order the tempura string beans again, it came out soggy in the sauce so it just tasted like a greasy sauted string beans. The pad thai was not the best pad thai which I think was mainly due to the dish being a little on the dry side. Overall, the staff was very attentive and the food came out super quick. read more

We arrived in Annapolis after 8:30 pm in some horrible rainstorm and immediately dropped our luggage and walked down the street to feed us. We decided to walk away from the pubs along the quaint sidewalk. Many places, offices were closed and we began to think it may be better to turn around for other direction. That's when I noticed the sign Lemongrass which I knew there was supposed to be a Thai restaurant relatively close to the hotel we are at . . Except, there was no sign to say Open or Closed . . And then it appeared some light inside. The actual door is on the side and the window is facing the street. Walking in, we immediately see this wall with probably a scene in Thailand. A woman is standing by the counter but on the phone. A man is sitting at the bar comfortably and said hi. I see a couple at a table towards the back. Not realizing the man works there, he's friendly and let's us know to select any seat we'd like, hands us menu, asks for drink orders, etc. We are cold and have our jackets on while he's in shorts and t-shirt but it's probably due to us being slightly damp. Restaurants should be cold. He's real good about checking if we want to order and we definitely go for soup, a fried tofu appetizer and I honestly forgot which curry dish which I should recall as it was delicious. Only thing, wished more rice as would want to place the spicy curry on something. Did dip my tofu in it. They closed at 10 pm so he did check if wanted anything else before closing the kitchen. We had leftovers and he brought different containers to select. Even when I spilled (so sad) the curry sauce, he calmly said to just place the napkin on and placed the lid on. We enjoyed the food. I go so often, they know me, and the staff is awesome, friendly and work well together. My Tom Yum was just that, YUM, and full of shrimp. A few dashes of siracha from the condiment caddie put the heat right where I wanted it, (pet pet pet). The lettuce wraps always great I could not finish the huge portion. How spoiled am I that Lemongrass is within walking distance of my house? If you've been following my reviews, I got turned onto Thai food a few years ago, and sometimes I just crave it and nothing else! So off to Lemongrass I went for my first visit. On Saturdays, Lemongrass is open until 4 p.m. for lunch, so I beat the lunch rush and took a late lunch at three. The place was empty besides one other couple. So if you can hold your appetite off for a few hours, go later on Saturdays! I ordered the garden rolls for an appetizer and the Pad See Ew. I LOVE garden rolls (I think it's the rice paper), so I'm kind of biased on those - I mean, how can you make those BAD? :) The Pad See Ew had a different taste from what I remember, and I believe that was due to the choice of sauce, but it was in no way bad, just different. Mediocre review for one of my most frequented places in Maryland? Yeah, most of my visits were purely based on convenience and the majority of them were takeouts. I used to always get the sauteed beef and string beans and it was tasty enough while I chowed down a quick lunch before heading back to work. The staff was always friendly and the food could be ready within 15 minutes if not less. There's always a nice little patio on the grass and from what I heard a decent happy hour. The food is what I think typical Americanized Thai food found at suburban strip mall Thai restaurants. Simplified dishes with a protein and veggie of choice, and deprived of the fragrant and flavorful spices and condiments of great Thai cuisine. But that's good enough for Annapolis, I suppose; and it's in a good location where you can walk down West Street and down to the harbor. read more

The Panang curry is really flavorful and comes out in a nice hot crock. It's one of my favorite dishes in general and they do it very well here. My husband looooved the duck dish he got, and I barely had an opportunity to try it since he couldn't stop eating it! I really like their outdoor eating area, with the pretty lights and casual feel. I'm typically not a lover of picnic table seating though, since it's less comfortable and, god forbid, you ever have to share the table with another group. Went here for the first time for date night. We ordered the crispy string beans as an appetizer, drunken noodles and pad thai for our entrees, and sticky rice with mango for dessert. I ordered the crispy string beans due to all the hype on Yelp, but it wasn't worth all the attention, personally. It was soggy and just lacked any "wow" factor. The pad thai is delicious and my date said the drunken noodles was great too. The sticky rice with mango was good. It had a strong coconut taste to it, but from the pictures uploaded on Yelp, our dish was tiny in comparison and it was gone in 4 spoonfuls (2 for each of us). The dessert was yummy, but the portion was very disappointing. Lemongrass is quite loud (very cramped seatings) so my date and I couldn't talk without being on the borderline of shouting and it is very easy to hear the next table talking or the table on the opposite side. This may not the best place for a first date, especially when you want to have a conversation with your date. I wouldn't make a trip to this establishment again, might consider returning whenever I'm in Annapolis. read more

We had the spring rolls, tofu curry and pad thai, all of which were delicious. There was a line when we came in and since we were hungry, we opted to sit at the bar. But once a table opened up, we asked to sit there and were immediately accommodated. The service here is very friendly although they can be busy. Top it off with the seasonal mango dessert - one of the best mango desserts all-time. It's a cup of rice, with coconut milk, warmed, and sliced mango - amazing! 4 stars though, parking is a bitch, old historic Annapolis (expected) and if it gets packed, you're out of luck because it only seats about 40 if that.
