Legends Classic Diner - BLT Sandwich combo.....Sooo good! - American Near Me - Glendora, California

Service was great. Cool ambiance. The food was good but the burgers and chili fries needed a bit more seasoning. I'll be back for sure.

Ordered a pastrami burger wasn't that good pastrami was cold needs more flavor. Servers were kind of rude.

I go here often, but today was disappointing. I usually get different things, but every time I get a salad, 1/3 of the mix is badly wilted. I usually just pull out the pieces and eat around it. However, today it was really bad, and the cucumbers and onions were past their point of being presentable to serve and consume. If restaurants served food they would actually eat themselves 100% of the time, then the quality of food, when eating out wouldn't be disappointing ‍‍‍ read more

This place rarely disappoints! Only complaint I have is the belly ache I always get from over eating here!!! We decided to have legends for dinner last night . And we ordered chicken strips for the kids, bacon avocado cheeseburger and pastrami sandwich. The strips were good nice and crispy The chili cheese fries were spot on ! Really hot and fresh. The burger and pastrami sandwich were also fresh and tasty I also ordered a chocolate malt which was really yummy. The only thing is the .90 "miscellaneous sale" we don't know what that was for? We asked for ranch and BBQ sauce as we ordered 2 chicken strip meals and we also asked for the grilled jalapeños that they make there and on the drive through window it states that the "first 2 are free". Is Legends charging a "Covid" fee or something? I sure hope not, because it is obvious that there prices have recently gone up since the pandemic. 2 kids chicken strip meals 1 bacon avocado cheeseburger 1 pastrami sandwich 1 small chili cheese fries 1 small chocolate malt = $55 Not overly expensive, but no doubt raised the prices ! Overall we had a yummy dinner that put us in a food coma for the rest of the night ! read more

You have long lines and one register open. But there is nine people in the back standing around.

Been eating here since they opened and it's changed. Used to love their BLT's until they started downsizing the bread. It got smaller and smaller. It's not even wonderbread sized anymore. Micro bread, but still thick with lettuce, tomato, etc, so it just disintegrates. Wife got a club tonight. Looked like an overstuffed finger sandwich. I decided to change it up and try a burrito tonight. Ever heard the saying, "10lbs of _____ in a 5lb bag? Perfect description for this $12 burrito. You can't pick it up to eat. It was hottern' the gates of hell and I sat at a table for 10+ minutes waiting for it to cool off enough to eat. Gave up, put it in a box and took it home where it's still cooling while I write this . Still too hot. It came out legit hot enough to have burned someone had they been able to pick it up to bite it when served. I'd say the kitchen needs serious new supervision. Your food's becoming inedible. read more

Used postmates to place an order since I'm currently bed bound. We ordered a large cheese fry, a 1/3 cheeseburger well done with no tomato, a chicken quesadilla and mozzarella sticks. The fries came with no cheese. The burger was undercooked. Postmates told me to call Legends bc food quality is their fault. Called Legends and they told me "that's tough. Take it up with postmates" If tomorrow's am manager does not fix it I will take it up with the card we used to pay. Items not as described. Fraudulent charge. Now I'll spend another $40 through Grubhub so my daughter has dinner. The manager tonight was rude and hateful. read more

The food here is just ok. The girl taking my order didn't seem very friendly, I said thank you, she said nothing back. But my biggest gripe was their drive-thru window was filthy, if that's dirty I wonder what the kitchen looks like? Nowadays keeping things clean is a MUST! I'm feeding this food to my children. Also I have a feeling that the employees are allowed to have their cell phones on them during work, I see it too often texting then handling food. I won't be back. read more

This place sucks ! Rude employees cooks are lazy ! I've been eating here for many years . I have a food allergy I can't eat leafy greens mixed salad. I can only eat iceberg lettuce. I've ordered the chef salads probably 50 times over many years and they always made it with iceberg lettuce for me . They have iceberg lettuce they use for there hamburgers and sandwiches so all they have to do is chopped it up for a salad . Then all the sudden I go in and they won't make it , then the next time they made ir for me . Then I go in 3 weeks ago and again the cook wouldn't make it . They cashier tells me the cook doesn't speak English yet 5 min ago he was speaking English . She said she has to talk Spanish to him . What's up with lying to me . I heard him speaking English . Why lie to me . I left and went back later when the manager was there . She told me yes they can make a chef salad with iceberg lettuce. She said they have like 3 or 4 other customers that also order salads with iceberg cause they can't eat mixed greens . She Apologized to me and said next time come in and they will make it for me . Well I went back in today and guess what they wouldn't make it for me . It was the same cashier and cook as last time . I asked for the manager and she was at brake sitting in a booth towards the back taking a nap . She had her head down on the table in her Arms . She finally came back to the front counter we had waited 15 min to talk to her . We were sitting there waiting for her and no one came to talk to us . We were being ignored. We went to the front counter and asked to speak to Cecilia cause we saw her come back from lunch 5 min ago and she has not said a word to us . She came to the register on the right and said can I help you and she already knew why we were waiting for her because the cashier told her when she got back from brake . I told her we were there 3 weeks ago and we spoke to her about the chef salad and the cooks wouldn't make me a salad with iceberg lettuce again . She then said well the cooks just told me that they spoke to Petter the owner and he said the cooks said Petter said we can't make the salad anymore with iceberg lettuce . I was upset I told he I've been eating her for 12 years and never had a problem ordering my said with iceberg and now they won't do it . The cooks said it's hard when it's busy . You had 5 or 6 people in the kitchen and not one person can chop sone lettuce up ? They said it was to busy . No it was not busy ! It was almost 7pm . It was not busy . We ate there like 3 months again and the owner Peter was there and I ordered the chef salad with iceberg and the cashier asked him and he showed her how to ring it up . He was training the girl . The owner said it was ok but now it's not . What is the all places I've gone to with my food allergies they have accommodated me and made it to where I was able to eat something and sorry this is an easy fix to chop up some iceberg lettuce and throw some turkey and egg and whatever on it and it's done they're just too lazy to do it sorry to say. Very very disappointed after all these years eating there my parents and I have been going there a long time! read more

Been coming here since the beginning and the quality of the food is not the same. I ordered a turkey club sandwich in which the turkey didn't even seem real, when glistening in light, there was a sort of leaf pattern stamped onto it and it felt very rubbery. A family member ordered a jalapeño avocado cheeseburger, everything was great except for the patty which was thrown out with the turkey. Not worth it for $40 read more

I went to Legends for the first time for breakfast. The space is completely 50's retro down to the music. The place is very clean and neat and staff were friendly. The breakfast menu is a sampling of mostly classic Americana dishes. I opted for the French toast as one of the staff recommended it. It was good. read more

Been coming here for a long time, and haven't been in a few months came back and ordered two taco combos, comes out to $31.75 for four tacos a combo, the meat is burnt on all four tacos, to the point of literal charcoal. Spoke to one of the waitresses and she said that we should have taken it back if we noticed it first and they would have remade it, which I wouldn't want because my appetite was gone after this whole experience. Tried explaining to her the point of letting her know is to have a solution towards a better food quality for not only me but other guests. Why would I want to experience burnt food twice? She ended up giving me a $10 gift card, which doesn't even cover the price of one combo. Needless to say I'm disappointed in how far they have gone down and will be sharing my experience with other locals in the community and surrounding areas to save them from having a horrible experience read more

The drive through was ridiculous. Was waiting 30 + min in the drive through in total. 20 of those minutes was AT THE WINDOW. Everything else was good though food wise. read more

1 star because I had to give one . Manager handled a simple error on their part terribly . Too much to type but sometimes the best way to handle a situation is to simply make it right . They did NOT . They were pointing out who made the mistake and even the manager threw a young cashier under the bus . Food wasnt good either . Tuna melt was like a tuna cold sandwich . Steer clear of this FAKE diner . read more

I have waited 15 minutes for one milk shake and an additional 9 minutes so far for the second milk shake. This place is pathetic.

Expensive. Food portion is very little for the price they ask for . Fountain drinks taste flat

Sonia, who works the drive thru window is excellent. Very courteous, helpful and speaks clearly.

Meet and eat here several times a month with family and friends. Legends has something for everyone and a great place to bring kids. Yes, prices have gone up, but so have all the other food establishments. What's really nice is they don't have a "would you like to leave a tip" on the register/receipt. Terrible service terrible food super greasy overpriced never go there again my worst food I ever had

You can never go wrong, when choosing to dine at legends classic diner! I was introduce to the place years ago by my best friend. I'm so glad she did. I've been coming here ever since. Their food is delicious! They have a variety of foods. From Mexican food to sandwiches and salads. My favorite is the avocado bacon cheese burger special. I change the fries to pastrami fries and half both with my husband. They put just the right amount of everything. I don't like when burger places put thick slices of avocado or when the put like one slice of bacon. Legends makes this burger just right! Thinly sliced avocado and enough bacon to taste in every bite! This burger always hits the spot. They have delicious ice cream, Malts, and desert! My recent visit with my family was great! I know a lot of restaurants have restrictions due to covid-19 and it's hard for my family and I to go out and eat because we're a pretty big group. So I called around and most places it's only 6 to a table and they won't guarantee that we will be sitting close to each other. So finally, I called legends and they were so nice and explained to us that as long as we're family they would allow us to all sit together. I thought that was great! They do have certain tables blocked off so everyone is spaced out. I noticed them sanitizing everything and they were taking every precaution as possible. They don't do free refills any more but it's just 25 cents and I think they give you a new cup every time. Every visit to legends has been great and I always look forward to my next visit. read more

This is for their weekend morning shift, I've had better experiences in the past. The service was terrible. I got onto the drive-through at 10:40 and by the time I got to place my order, it was 11:03. They refused to let me order anything from the normal breakfast menu because it was after 11 o'clock, and they wouldn't make any exception. So I ordered a breakfast sandwich from their "All Day Breakfast" menu and it was the saddest most disappointing breakfast ever: bread was half toasted and soggy lettuce. It tasted like a sandwich you'd pick up at a gas station or in an airport terminal. It was basically a less than mediocre BLT with some egg in it. All I wanted was some pancakes. Not coming back after this. read more

Usually a business should hit on two of the three options of price, service, and quality. Unfortunately, Legends is average on two and poor on the other. The food is often fried previously frozen food, lacking flavor, and of poor quality. The service is usually fine, but never great. The drive through wait is usually 5 minutes per car so do the math before you commit to the line. But, the prices! The prices are ridiculously high for what you get. I can feed the same amount of people for the same amount of money at Rika's Empanadas and get all fresh ingredients in numerous homemade options. Legends will nickel and dime you for extra things on top of their already high prices. I will say the vanilla shakes are the bomb, though! For a large (they don't offer mediums) expect to pay almost $8 out the door. read more

This place is a Glendora gem. It's iconic on the inside and out. The food here is average, with nothing specifically coming to mind when i think of there food, but i digress. The service is always super friendly. My experience at this place is they are the speediest, so keep this is mind when you decide to come for a visit, but to me it's definitely worth the small wait, and i would definitely recommend there milkshakes and malts! read more

This was by far my best eatery to meet up with friends. That is till the pandemic hit. I got creative and ordered through Dasher. Oh dear lord, I missed their Tuna Melts that are so delicious. The pastrami sandwiches that are cooked through and through that you are disappointed that you've just taken that last bite and it leaves you wanting more. Well, tonight I ordered two succulent hot all beef hot dogs with all the works. And also a large Wild Cherry drink. My favorite. Of course two family members didn't like what they had ordered from another restaurant and asked me where I ordered from. After looking at the menu they both wanted a Patty Melt and fries. Lol. So I ordered the Patty Melts and fries from Legends. The delivery was fast and we were soon a very happy family eating together. I love this place and hope to be able to dine in soon. You will NEVER be disappointed! read more

The Decor was awesome, old license plates, old juke box, and pics of some music icons. Would love to give 5 stars because the food was good. They get my 1 star because of the kid at the ice cream counter. Took 30 minutes for 4 milkshakes completely screwed up the order, then was completely rude when handing it off. The milk shakes were all runny and not at all what you expect from a milkshake. Customer service for me at any establishment is a big deal, and this place completely fell flat. Over all food was great, Customer service at the Ice Cream Bar was a disappointment. Give it a shot by all means. read more

I've been going to this restaurant since it opened! Shared so many meals with family, friends, and my boyfriend here. Strange, crazy place. It's enormous inside. The place looks like a theme park, diner and vintage shop all rolled into one. Very clean. The food is typical fast food diner stuff with some breakfast items not served after 11am. The service does NOT match the wild happy look of this place. I couldn't hear what the guy who took our order was mumbling. No smile, no suggestions nothing...except what I wanted was not served anymore. He handed us a number and we sat waiting. The food was delicious and came out fast. It's super festive. 50s music playing and plenty of cool murals to look at. Plenty of parking outside as well. Great for kids and large party's read more
