Don't know what's going on at Legend but they haven't been to their usually high service level standards. I've always had high praise for them over the past 8 years and have called the owner on multiple occasions complimenting the good job of hiring they do but it seems the last 3-4 months the service level has gone downhill. Started with their pick up and delivery service. Since they began offering we've taken advantage of it and it was great but then we had almost 3 weeks of no one picking up so I drove our dry cleaning in and dropped it off. I Honestly didn't have my normal amount of dry cleaning (which is quite a bit) since I wasn't traveling for business as i normally do but I was trying to give them any business to help get them thru the pandemic. I told the girl at the counter the issue and I will say since I made them aware of the pick up issue it hasn't been an problem. Then 3 weeks ago, they dropped off our dry cleaning but when we went to retrieve it from the hook outside it looked like a pair of my good dress shorts had fallen off the hanger and out of the plastic and whoever delivered it just literally shoved them (not even neatly) back onto the hanger and left it outside the bag. They also forgot to bring back 1 of our 2 dry cleaning bags. Also I just bought a brand new pair of Tommy Bahama shorts. Wore them 1 time. They mark the shorts by putting what I believe is an iron on tag on the inside. Well whoever tagged these shorts either used the wrong setting on the iron or left the iron on the spot too long because it leached through and melted to the outside of the shorts. There have also been multiple times over the past few months that the collars on my polo shirts weren't ironed. I let those go as honestly Im understand mistakes will be made and I'm not really out to get anyone in trouble. HORRIBLE COMPANY! Save yourself the trouble. I promise it is not worth your peace of mind. I live in Maricopa and when I found this company, I thought I found a gold mine because they deliver. Boy was I wrong. The first time using their service I had my card locked for potential fraud. They ran my card and I got a notification at that very moment I unlocked my card and gave my card. It was good to go so that way I can receive my items since I had a job interview at my company coming up well needless to say I didn't get my items in time. they ended up waiting to send out my stuff on the next cycle even though it had literally been a minute and a half since I had a previously tried to run my card and I did talk to somebody. That was kind of understandable at the time, and I had taken it as my fault. Well, fast forward to the second time they told me that they lost my clothes. I was on the phone with them for hours trying to figure out where my clothes were. They had decided to give me a five dollar credit for the inconvenience. I was a little upset by that yet again I thought that I would try to give them one more chance. The third time I use them I got my clothes back and half of them looked like trash. The colors and the seams were completely wrinkled. They didn't take their time when they were starching them I have never seen my clothes look like that coming from a dry cleaner. honestly, they're still hanging up in my closet and I didn't even wanna call them and complain because it has been a continuous battle with this company. so I let it go fast forward to the fourth time using this company I was out of the country and I received a text message that they were going to be picking up the laundry again. I had a suit waiting with my sister-in-law to put outside of my house so I can have the suit ready for a wedding that I have to go to the day. I got back from Greece. Well, they never came and picked up my item. I head out to the wedding the day I get back from Greece and have nowhere to take my suit to get a dry cleaned prior to my departure. I had my sister-in-law call and see if they could come pick it up to have it completed before I get back so that way we don't have any issues but the manager was extremely rude to her and told her no they will not be picking it up. She said that it was Labor Day and I had sent out an email stating that they were not gonna be picking it up until the following dry cleaning day which is not the truth because I never received an email. Now remember I did receive the text message that they were going to be coming to pick it up. So now the manager is lying on top of it all and being rude to my sister-in-law, for no reason at all when I was her mess up within her company. I tried to give them a call and ask the manager to give me a call back since I'm in a different country and I needed to get this rectified as soon as possible. Well, she never called me back go figure. I'm not usually a person to ever write reviews but at this point I cannot even imagine somebody else using this company, I feel like I would not do my due diligence. If I did not let other people know about this experience because it was this horrible. It has literally been one thing after another. I have never had this many issues with one company every single time I use them, I would suggest taking your business elsewhere. It is definitely not worth ever using this company. I wish that I didn't have a negative experience here, but I certainly did. The staff is very nice, but I had an interesting experience when I dropped off a coat to be cleaned for my upcoming trip to New York. All was well, and was assured that it'd be ready in the next few days. I went to pick it up, they had apparently sent it out to another cleaning service because they couldn't get a stain out? I said, okay, and went without my coat to NY. I never received a call that my coat was ready and I forgot about it. When I went to clean some other items, a staff member said I had a coat ready to pick up. They brought my coat out and the buttons had been completely melted off with the plastic seeping into the fabric. I was completely bummed out that my $200 coat was ruined. The staff member gave me my other dry cleaning for free ($7-15), but it did not get close to meeting the current value of the coat. Well I must update you on the positive resolution to this unfortunate experience, by Kim Bizzack, owner. Shortly after I posted my review I received a phone call from Kim Bizzack, an owners of the cleaners. I was pleased with her genuine apology, concern over my unresolved issue and how this was handled by one of their employees. Kim's concern and response has help renew my faith in their business. Kim was not aware of my missing items, the attitude of her employee and the lack of follow up. I must say after my conversation with Kim, her quick response, immediate apology and.eagerness to take ownership for this oversight, have renewed my faith in Legend Cleaners. On Saturday January 16 2016 I dropped off our cleaning for same day service and was assured my cleaning would be back later that day. Upon my return to pick up my cleaning, I encounter an almost mob scene, with many angry customers, upset their cleaning had not been lost and not returned. There were customers who needed their cleaning for dinners and special events that evening, business professionals who were traveling the next day and the following week and needed their items. I thought well perhaps I will be lucky and my cleaning will there without issue. Well luck I did not have. Most of my order was located, except for a few items. So ok, I pay the $100+ cleaning bill and I am told my items would be located by the following Monday, no problem. So i don't hear from anyone on Monday, but I give them plenty of time to locate my items. I return a week later on January 23rd, they still can't find the rest of my order, but not to worry they will locate the items and call me later that evening. Later that night ,January 23rd, I get a phone call from an attendant at the cleaners, again they still can't locate my cleaning. The person calling was less then sympathetic, barely taking ownership for this screw up. The lady I spoke with said, well since you encountered this problem, we will not charge you for cleaning these items. Really?? Are you kidding??? Now that's a real goodwill gesture, what an effort to convey their apologies, what a joke!! So now here I am February 5th, two weeks have passed since I was promised my cleaning would be located and they would call me.. I haven't heard a word from anyone at Legend. I was looking for a new dry cleaner in the area as my old one became too inconvenient. When I brought my 6 shirts in for laundry initially the associate behind the counter separated 2 Pieces into dry cleaning. When I ask why (since I had those shirts laundered many times at my other cleaners) she said oh, ok, we will launder all and I confirmed that all 6 pieces would be at the laundry rate of $2.69 each. When I went to pick up the first time the rack machine was broken and I couldn't get my shirts (even though I was leaving for a trip the next AM and all they needed was a ladder), but was told the 2 dry-cleaned shirts were ready (at $4.95 each). I said really? I wanted them all laundered; and I was not about to pay more than $2.00 a shirt more than agreed-to. I was told to contact the Manager or owner Brenda in the Mesa store. I reached out to Brenda 2 or 3 times without a return phone call, so I went back to the store to pick up my shirts (since it had been 2 weeks and I needed them). After arriving home not only did they charge me $4.95 for the two dry-cleaned shirts, they also charged me $4.95 for one of the laundered shirts! HORRIBLE DRY CLEANER. DO NOT USE. Dropped off around 20 items for dry cleaning, and at least 4 came back totally ruined. Buttons were broken, ink stains were on several items (like from a ballpoint pen) that had not been present when I dropped off the clothing. Stains I had mentioned and asked them to try to remove were still present, and they didn't make any notice of this or let me know that they were unable to remove said stains. Several stains looked untouched, like they hadn't even made an attempt to remove them. A few silk items I dropped off came back feeling like a strange texture, like they were very stiff. When I complained, no explanation was offered and the best they could do was take the items with ink for a free redo. They were practically already ruined, so I let them try. Around 300 dollars of clothing was ruined by this dry cleaner. Awful, awful service. read more

My 18 year old daughter turned the white of her cheer uniform to gray, then I tried to lighten and got the gray to turn blue. Have been going to Legends for 10+ years and have had a poor experience my last two visits. I dropped off 15 shirts and only 12/13 came back on the "truck"...really? I have to come back and pick up the other two? Fast forward a week, I need to drop off a pair of pants and a couple of shirts to get cleaned because my new VP is coming to town to meet with me and my team (1 chance to make a first impression)...go in this evening to pick up my clothes and they were not ready...(my anxiety level is sky rocketing), I'm sick to my stomach and now need to go buy a new set of clothes for Monday morning. Damaged my dress for a Wedding (burnt fabric and tore bust padded edge as well as didn't lift stain nor inform me of this) and refused to refund me the charge for the dry cleaning and won't even acknowledge that they should pay for the dress since now its un-wearable. When I brought the issue to their attention the representative that took the info and dress said to make sure to ask the manager for them to pay for the dress since it was for a special occasion. It took over 3 days for the manager to call me and then she only offered me a refund of the charge or to re dry-clean it (insulting). When I told her that was an unacceptable offer considering the occasion had passed and the padding in the bust had been ripped. So I said I want a refund and for them to try to repair the dress. She advised me she would have to get approval from owner. I requested for the owner to call me to discuss. Weeks had passed so I stopped by to find out that no one had touched my dress, issued refund, or compensated for damages. Not only did they NEVER call me but they also never resolved the issue of me having this $100.00 dress that is now unfit to wear anywhere let alone somewhere formal due to their negligence. Think twice before you entrust this company with your belongings. It may get lost, you may be told the lost item you have brought to them for many years never existed in their system, and you will definitely not be treated as a valued customer. I have been using this dry cleaners, and only this cleaners, very often since 2013 and have been previously happy with the results. After dropping off some items and picking up my order when it was ready, I was told one item had to be sent back for a redo and would be ready for pick up soon. This item was my favorite black sweater that always got dropped off with a yellow top since I always wear the black sweater and yellow top together. This sweater only visited this store and was never washed by me. I continued to drop off and pick up my items regularly, continuously told my redo item would be ready soon. After a few months of this, I told them I had been waiting for my black sweater for months. They went into the system and showed me on the computer that this item was only listed as "sweater". The employee told me it should have been described with the brand, size, color, etc. but was not. The screen also showed the word "redo" in black front. I proceeded to describe my sweater and was told they would continue to look for it at the other location and I would be receiving a phone call. I received a brief voicemail a few days later and called back to check in and spoke to the woman owner. She told me it wasn't at the other location but there were a few more spots to check and to call back the following day. Upon my next call, I was told by another employee that my black sweater wasn't found yet but they would call again soon. Over a week after my initial conversation about my missing black sweater, I called again and was told the next step was to bring in a picture of my sweater matching the description and listing the price so I could be paid to replace my missing item. I followed those directions and here's where things don't add up... When I went in to finalize the issue, I was then told the order I was shown on the computer, under my family's account, that was simply described as "sweater" was in fact another family member's sweater that had been paid out to replace it months prior because it has been ruined at this dry cleaners. This time, the computer screen also had a red font reading "void" that was not there the first time I was shown the screen. I explained that although this did happen to my family member, this was not my situation or about my missing item. I also asked why this realization/confusion hadn't been communicated to me during my many phone calls over the course of a week and a half. I received an answer that didn't make sense to me and asked for the owner to please call me. Shortly after my visit to the store, I received a call from the male owner. He told me the same story about how it was my family member's sweater listed as "redo sweater" in the system and how it wasn't my sweater. I was told my family member had already been paid for it. I explained that I know of this situation, but my sweater that they had been looking for over a week (and would be "ready soon" for months) was still missing. The owner told me he went through my account and there is absolutely no record of me ever bringing in a black sweater (that has been into this location many times). I had never heard before from any of the employees that my black sweater didn't exist in the system. This went in circles. I had an idea: I always dropped off the sweater together with the yellow top. I gave the owner the number from the sticker on the yellow top and had him look again. He told me there was still no record of an item that matched my description ever being dropped off in their system. This baffled me! If I had been bringing it here for 3 years, it would show up under my account each time that it was dropped off, which would also be with the yellow top. The owner claimed there was no documentation of me ever bringing in a black sweater. I realized this conversation wasn't going anywhere and asked him how we could resolve the issue. He said because there was no documentation of my item, he could not do anything for me. To be honest, I wanted an apology for losing the item and taking up my time for over a week to call and check in. I didn't get one. I did get a credit for my next order, however I basically had to beg for it. I wanted him to admit maybe there had been a glitch or something in this system to cause my sweater to vanish from the computer, since it has been there many times and to no other cleaners. I will not be using my credit because I will no longer support this business. The customer is not always right at this business and loyal customers are not treated as such. Your items may not be described as they should be which could aid in them getting lost, and they will not be replaced/compensated for. Your items may even disappear from the system. read more

I just had my wedding dress cleaned here, and they did a great job! I had a hard time choosing where to get it cleaned, because I didn't want to leave my expensive dress with just anyone, but I also didn't really want to pay the $200 everyone else had quoted me. I'm so glad I took it to Legend Cleaners! They took wonderful care of it and were able to get the dirt stains out of the train of my gown. They charge a flat rate of $100 for wedding dress cleanings and even honored a $10 off coupon I had, but forgot to bring. Good quality cleaners and very reasonable price! read more

I have used this Legend Cleaners in the past, but after my last experience, I will never go back. I brought in a cashmere sweater, and got it back "rejected" because there was a hole in it. I was told that they couldn't clean it, but they would charge me for the cleaning anyway. I will never know whether the hole was there before or after it was dropped off. Also I alerted them to spot clean a spot on my favorite Tahari designer pants. When I got them home, there was still a spot. I figured at that point, there was nothing to lose, so I tried Shout spray and the spot came right out with no staining! If you have good clothes, take them somewhere else! read more

Legend Cleaners has lost several items of mine thus far and I've decided after the third time of getting screwed over, to find a new cleaners. Yes, they're affordable, but that's it. It is a poorly managed cleaners and have no business dry cleaning people's nice garments, seeing as they turn up missing. Recently, I brought a designer cardigan of mine to have dry cleaned and they misplaced the belt that was attached to it. This has happened before, the other time was with pearl buttons that were attached to my blouse-which they also lost. Another time, they slipped in another person's garment in with my dry cleaning and had to return it, as it was not mine??
