I love the energy that they are okay with competition and supporting them too. If you need items regularly laundered or dry cleaned, Tide Cleaners can be pricey if you're not using deals or coupons. They had a stain at the bottom of one leg that other dry cleaners either missed or couldn't remove. Island Dry Cleaners got it out without any issue. Every piece was also crisply pressed. The service was fast and friendly. I dropped everything off Tuesday morning and received a text notification Wednesday late morning saying my clothes were ready for pickup -- a full day earlier than expected. The phone was picked up, I heard some fumbling and a "hold on" that was clearly directed at someone else in the shop, and then the call was ended within about three seconds. I never got a chance to say a word. Thinking it might have been an accident, I called right back. That call was declined immediately. I attempted a third call but canceled it myself, figuring there was no point. I understand the end of the day gets busy, but hanging up on a paying customer who is actively trying to be respectful of your time isn't acceptable. Went here to have some patches sewn on my leather vest. This was one of the only places in the area…read morethat I found that could do the work. It was about two weeks to have them sewn on and while they did ask me if it was ok to sew through the liner, they did sew through the liner and pockets rendering the inner left pocket unusable. I don't really use the pockets except maybe to put my phone in, but I would have thought that they wouldn't have done that. All in all I had 4 patches sewn on for $80. As you can see, one got sewn right through the inside pocket. I would have like to have been asked about that, but hindsight being 20/20, I guess if I need any more sewn, I'll let them know. This business seems to do a lot of alterations for wedding dresses, so I'm guessing not a lot of bikers are hitting them up to sew their cuts. Just be aware if that's something you need.
