We have been going to Vardhan Bros since before Covid. We don't have a lot of dry cleaning, but our daughter's dog has a bad habit of lifting his leg on our dry clean only queen size comforter. As a result we've been giving this dry cleaner our business for several years now and until recently they have always done a good job. Last month we had need of dry cleaning our comforter again; not because of our daughter's dog but because it had been a while since we'd had it done. We brought the comforter in as usual, noted the personnel behind the counter were now wearing company shirts, and prepaid for the work of dry cleaning our comforter. The receipt now says the dry cleaner is AVK Cleaners. Usually the work took 3-days, but this time it was going to be a few days longer due to Memorial Day. We were not in a hurry so that wasn't a problem. When we returned to pickup our comforter a day later than we were told to pick it up, the comforter was not ready; but was spread out on a table in the back. We waited while the comforter was collected up, placed on a hanger and wrapped in plastic dry cleaning bag. The next day we opened the bag up and placed the comforter on our bed, noting a slight musty aroma. That night, when we were trying to sleep, the musty aroma intensified into an overwhelming mildew funk. We had to strip the comforter from the bed and the next day returned it to AVK Cleaners for correction. They explained they had a problem with their equipment and would properly clean our comforter. That was on Wednesday 5/27 and the attendant said we could pick our cleaned comforter up after 5pm on Saturday 5/30. He printed a receipt saying as much and sent us on our way. We returned as instructed, Saturday 5/30 at 5pm only to find the place was locked up tight and had been since 3pm. We found this more annoying than the fact they had fouled our bedding. We returned the following Monday during regular business hours, retrieved the comforter and asked to speak with the manager. After showing him the ticket instructing us to pick up our goods after closing hours, he muttered something about not having control over what information his register printed on receipts, confirming his concern for wasting our time matched his concern for the work he had been paid in advance to complete. The comforter still stunk with the mildew funk AVK Cleaners had infused our bedding with. There was no offer of a refund so we effectively paid full retail for this negative review AVK Cleaners. We strongly encourage you avoid our experience. We did find another Dry Cleaner not too far away that was able to remove the stench of AVK Cleaners. We will balance our negative review of AVK Cleaners with a positive review of more reliable local competition in the next review. read more

I've now been to this Dry Cleaners more than a dozen times and I have to admit that I am very satisfied with the quality of work that is done. In the past when I've brought in items and would spend "FOREVER" sorting out shirts, pants, dresses etc. But when you come here it's done efficiently and quickly. The staff is able to go through all of the items super quick, pull up our account via phone number (and I appreciate that the conversation using my name) and provide me with a grand total and a time to pick up which is great. It's a little bit further but the quality of work has been great. They also do wedding dresses and other items that involve dry-cleaning so I would definitely recommend using them for your day-to-day needs as it is reasonably priced. read more

Do not bring designer clothes, gowns or expensive dresses! Three of mine are completely ruined and cannot be fixed. Beads and embellishments are missing, material and fabric is uneven, and new stains are visible and cannot be removed. I questioned about dresses before service because not average cleaning, he was certain. After cleaning, when I looked at items, all 3 at the same time, he made it sound like it was my fault and no restitution. He said he would pay me $29 for 1 dress, leaving it there! I want to callout the amazing people at Vardhan Brothers Dry Cleaners! Vardhan has serviced my families dry cleaning needs many times with excellent service and quality. Very recently the owner and employees have shown us who they truly are and how they have massive hearts for our community. My family just experienced a significant loss in our family as our sister, Samira Vinoya, passed after a battle with cancer. In our preparations to create a beautiful celebration of her life with hundreds of family and friends, we reached out to ask for help getting 25 large round table linens and 25 runners pressed in less than 24hrs. The owner showed compassion and genuine sorrow for our family's loss. He helped prioritize our same-day request to ensure that even this seemingly simple thing was something we didn't need to worry about. (hint, it is actually very much not simple to iron and fold 108" round table cloths) I'm grateful for a company like this in our community who does amazing work with genuine care for others. I really feel bad writing this after years of amazing customer service from the previous owner but the new ownership is horrible. I've gone to this location for three years, pausing while working from home and I decided to come back to have my fiancé and my graduation gowns cleaned. The woman who worked there was absolutely rude and disrespectful, " Eulaylee" was her name. I simple asked about the cost of $15 per gown for a press, she told me that if the price is a problem I can have my gowns back and shop prices elsewhere. Simply because I asked a question for clarification. I will never go here again and I plan on writing the owner a letter to express the same. I drove 20 minutes from my home because I wanted to support a small business, and I regret it. I'll never come here again and I'm definitely sharing this with the friends I recommended this business as well. Went above and beyond what I expected! I took my comforters here and got them back smelling great and didn't have to keep loading my dryer and doing 4 cycles just to dry my blankets. Best of all I took all my former marine corps uniforms and not only did he dry clean and press everything, Neal even preserved my dress blues for me. I was surprised to see the other review on this place. We've used this cleaners since moving here almost two years ago now. They clothes are fresh and cleaned and pressed when needed. The staff is friendly and very accommodating with pick up times when needed. They also offer next day pick up if needed. It's close to my house and where I grocery shop so it's way convenient. read more

SOMETHING HAS CHANGED! I have been going to Vardhan for years with no complaints.....until yesterday. Earlier in the week I had taken a couch slip cover and cushions for an estimate on cleaning cost. The elderly gentleman gave me a quote and I said I would think about it. Thinking the quote was reasonable, I returned the next day to drop the cover off. This time, Eddie was there, as well, and appeared to be very busy and stressed as he was sorting through many bins of dirty laundry. Upon confirming the quote, of $17.00 with the elderly man, Eddie started speaking to him in his native language in a firm tone. I asked what he was saying and he stated that he told the older man not to give quotes out like that! Furthermore, Eddie REFUSED to honor the quote and said he could do it for $30.00 and it would take him weeks to have it done because he is so backed up with work. STUNNED, I calmly asked him if he would reconsider and perhaps meet me in the middle with the price. AGAIN HE REFUSED! So, I gathered my couch slip cover and walked out. I was in such disbelief of what just transpired, that I went back into the store to get clarification, from Eddie. Reiterating our conversation calmly to him, he then said that he would clean it for $25, however, it would take him weeks to return to me. I kindly thanked him and stated how sorry I am that his stress of the business has changed him. Eddie, I thought we were business friends. I then took my couch slip cover to Legend Cleaners, who accepted it with a smile, a fair price and done in a week. read more

I have been using the Vardhan Brothers cleaners for at least 4 years now and they always do a fantastic job for me and to my specifications. Several times I have taken items in that have had dried or oily stains on them and they were able to get them out. I was amazed since I was sure I would have to discard the items. The service has always been gracious and my items are always ready on time...or whenever I get around to picking them up! I once left a dress there for several months and it wasn't until I took another item in for cleaning that Eddie reminded me that my dress was still there. I was appreciative that he had not shipped it off to the Goodwill or sold it as other cleaners might have done as this was one of my favorite outfits. I have since moved a long distance away from the Vardhan Brothers' shop but I still make it a point to take all of my cleaning there. All cleaning is done on the premises, not shipped out.
