Came here for the turnip cake, legends pops and Taiwanese sausages. IMO everything was delicious. The chicken pops are white meat which I prefer because that's healthier, but if you're eating this food, I can see how you're not aiming for that and want the juicier dark meat :P. We went with mild and had extra spice on the side which the owner wonderfully recommended. We tried to go with medium spicy at first, but apparently that's really spicy. The first time my husband and I went to legend chicken was last week after work Saturday and the chicken was finished. We went around 9pm, they said they usually sell out by 6/7. We eat halal only so we didn't get anything that day. Yesterday my my husband went by himself and got the legend chicken and brought me one back. Legend chicken is half a chicken deep friend, be aware it does have bone and you do need to use your hands to dig in. It was so tasty, today we went and got the legend popcorn which I loved more because it was in bite size pieces and was chicken breast. We got the highest level of spice. If you are from a south-Asian background I advice to get that. The portions are very good too! read more

Amazing, amazing amazing! Can't recommend this place enough. First off, I got the chicken spicy. I went through 3 water bottles and a large McDonald's sprite because of it. It was way too spicy for me, but it was so good I kept on going and going. The string beans were amazing too; they tasted so fresh that it was almost like they were picked that day. I honestly had no clue how to eat the chicken and string beans... I was given two elongated toothpicks and a pair of gloves, so I started to use the toothpicks as chopsticks and eat the chicken with the paper. Eventually that was too slow so I started to stab the food but I wasn't able to pick much up. Eventually I just started eating everything with my hands. I had such a great experience here. The whole little food court is nice and I can't wait to come back! The man who works there was also very nice. Everything was $14.04 but I got such great food, and a lot of it. The chicken pops were really good. they were lightly crispy and had a dry seasoning on it with a hint of heat. we opted for no sauces since it was for the kids. The seasoning is really good actually. We also tried the Venetian Tofu which was described to be "like a marshmallow" in texture. It was also covered in the same dry seasoning as the chicken pops. Slow service, rude employee, and the chicken wasn't that great. We asked for mild and they gave us spicy.

I am so confused if you cannot provide the food when the customer order and you could't serve isn't call sold out?? I ordered shrimp roll, venetian tofu, and turnip cake, also got a curd for free by check in on Yelp. Food was pretty decent with about 15 minutes waiting time. Season well, packaged well. Pretty decent food, close enough to what had in Taiwan. The problem is the owner's attitude. He was bragging about how his opponents are weak (there is another Taiwanese chicken popcorn store next to 7 train entrance at the Coco's corner), that the store is closed. He was rude when I asking if he has spades (the very tiny end piece of chicken butt) and he said no we ran out do you know 1 chicken only has 1 butt? Their legend chicken cutlet is similar to the cutlet from that other place at the New World Mall food court but I think Legend Chicken makes it better. From what I can taste, the blend of spices used here on the cutlet sets it apart and makes it more savory. I believe everything is made to order so prepare to wait around 10 minutes. The other popular menu item here is the legend pops (popcorn chicken), which I think is their take on Taiwanese salt & pepper chicken. Again, love the spices and you can request how spicy you want the chicken. I also like how the chicken doesn't seem to get soggy and retains its crunch after a while in the container. Which is very good, because chances are you're not going to finish it right away as you start feeling thirsty as your mouth gets really dry if you keep eating the chicken. This place is REALLY good. The chicken here is delicious, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It's also very well seasoned (they don't skimp out on their seasoning). I don't really eat spicy foods but I decided to try out a mild spicy, since I can typically handle a light spice. However, their mild spicy was extremely well seasoned and it was over the top! The Venetian tofu was also really good, very chewy and soft. They were also really generous with their serving size. my friend and I both ordered something different (I ordered the Legend pop and she ordered the Venetian tofu). We split the order and it was a very fulfilling lunch. The staff was also really sweet, asking me if I needed anything and answering the different questions I had about each dish. They were very patient with me even though I'm quite indecisive and picky. They are also very real with you, their description of the legend pop was spot on. My friend and I are very satisfied with our purchases and we HIGHLY recommend anyone passing by to stop and check the place out (it's tucked between the Yi Fang milk tea place in front and the flushing ice cream place in the back), and get a little something that will definitely satisfy you. While leaving a review for 591 Chicken Cutlet, this place popped up at the bottom of the page under "Best of Yelp." Thanks Yelp cos after peepin' the pix of their food, I knew that Legend Chicken was a spot I'd have to check out next time I was in Flushing. So, I was out there yesterday and accomplished the mission. I got two orders of Legend chicken; one spicy and one regular, sweet potato fries and the Apple Sidra soda. The spicy Legend chicken was for my daughter who loves everything hot. It wasn't hot to her at all. I tried a piece and I definitely tasted the spices! It was great. I was afraid it would be too hot for me like 591 Chicken Cutlet's spicy seasonings. My not spicy Legend chicken was really good but next time, I'm definitely getting spicy. The sweet potato fries...BEST I've ever had. A lot of places put salt on sweet potato fries. I like salt on regular fries but on sweet potato fries, I like to add some cinnamon and brown sugar. I don't know what Legend seasons their sweet potato fries with but it's good and sweet! They give you a lot, too. Don't be fooled by those little brown boxes. The Apple Sidra...maaan, I have a new favorite soda...2nd favorite soda (behind my cream soda). I Googled to see where I could buy 2 liter bottles and came across a couple of recent articles... Sidra's had some scandals as of late. Damn. I hope they've recalled the contaminated sodas so I can drink it and not croak. Anywho, from now on, when I'm in Flushing, whether I'm hungry or not, I'ma stop by Legend and get a lil somethin' cos it's goooood, filling, the price is right and the chicken's not raw.
