Hasn't anyone noticed how the size of the sushi rolls keep shrinking or how tiny their sushi rolls are? Lee's sushi has great tasting sushi. But, the rolls are WAY TO SMALL. The last time I was there (2 weeks ago) I was very disappointed. Loved this place until they hung up the phone on me while I was trying to place an order for delivery. We tried to call them back 12 times in a row finally got someone to answer the phone. Please, please bring your old cook back that used to make the Korean dishes. This used to be a go-to-spot for us for some kimchi jigae or soft tofu soup, rather than hauling it all the way to Fort Lee. We probably came her 2-3 times per month. Our last three experiences have stunk. Can't put my finger on it, but it just isn't what it used to be. I know that there's a new chef in there, as when I inquired last time about the dried apple chips (!!!) in my kimchi stew, I was told that the new chef thought it was a good idea (it's not). Still the best sushi and chirashi sushi in town. We eat here every few weeks. I love their chirashi set with special cuts of very fresh salmon, melt-in-your-mouth tuna, white fish and smoked sashimi. I especially love the smoked sashimi. The set comes with miso soup, rice appetizer and salad. Growing up in Asia, I got spoiled by fresh seafood but this is as good as it gets in the Northeast. I have tried other sushi places but I always keep coming back. Just do not go here on busy hours because they cannot keep up with the volume. Best to go here when it all winds down an hour or two hours before closing time. We went here during weekends and Fridays at 7 PM and regretted it. Waiting time too long. Try their Brazilian roll, Panama Roll, Tempura roll and Fire Roll. Really the best in the area....and I have looked all over! read more

Lee's is a consistently good sushi joint. It is hard to find because it is stuffed inside a crowded strip mall (next to staples.) This doesn't offer it much publicity but it is worth the visit. What you will get is a warm, inviting , smiley welcome, followed by a filling meal, at a good price. The experience is the same every single time. BYOB cuts down on the cost, and they are more than happy when you take your time to eat and drink. A place worth keeping around! read more

what a great place..... i have never been treated so great in a sushi place before i went last night for the first time after so many people telling me to try it. i brought a bottle of wine with me and proceeded to order a feast. My fiancee order three different rolls. Wayne roll, California roll topped with salmon and cream cheese, and chicken tempura roll. i ordered the chicken terryiake dinner box. which came with everything under the sun i wont give details about every item because every item was perfect. the waitress just kept bringing item after including complimentary seaweed salad spice rice, and then to top it off a specialty rice paper dessert that was out of this world.. pros: fresh food, service and THE OWNER LEE is very very nice just so happy to be a business owner. Came here 2 times during lunch with co-workers. Ordered different things everytime. Had sushi and sashimi once, and the korean bowl the other times. Both times were very good. This is one of my absolute favorite sushi spots! Mr. Lee is the sweetest guy he always goes out of his way to say hi to his regular customers and treats you very well. One of my favorite rolls is the shrimp crunch roll. I also love a spicy California roll. For dinner they give you spicy sushi rice and seaweed. The spicy rice is so good, even when I order out I always order a side of the rice its my favorite part. Everything is very fresh and affordable. I would defiantly recommend this place! read more

Great sushi spot in town. BYOB, complimentary pickled seaweed salad/spicy broiled rice appetizers, and sweet dessert drink are all a plus. I've gotten take-out and I believe they deliver as well. I'd recommend the sushi or sashimi combos for groups or go with some of the chef's creations which are all kinds of dynamite stuff. Lee's also offers Korean specialties such as bulgogi and kalbi. The specialty rolls here are unique and tasty, I'd recommend the "fantastic roll" which is a pressed roll (no seaweed), it's filled with spicy tuna and crunch inside with tuna, salmon, avocado, mango and crunch on top drizzled with a special sauce. Great combination of flavors and textures. I'd also recommend the spider roll (which has REAL and BIG pieces of crispy fried soft-shell crab) or the samba roll (spicy salmon and avocado inside a roll with fried red snapper and special sauce on top). read more

So. Much. Food. I got the chicken teriyaki box because I thought one roll wouldn't be enough--I didn't know they served so many accompaniments--soup, rice and scallion pancakes! And then the best moshi for dessert. The teriyaki chicken was good (it's teriyaki chicken is it possible to mess that up lol), and although I wish I had gotten tuna in my roll instead of salmon it was still really good. I ordered a shrimp tempura roll and a California roll both were good and the complimentary spicy rice was really good. My only issue which was kind of major, was the wait for our food. I was in a party of 5 and it appeared to be a slow night and we still waited about 45 mins. No one came by apologizing for the wait or anything. Update: Gave this place another whirl and it was much better this time around. The sushi was good, service was much better. I've been back a few times since actually and I believe the quality of my meal varies. Sometimes it's great and sometimes it's good. Nonetheless, I'll probably still come back. Heard some good things about this place, but it was one of the worst sushi places I've been to. Firstly, I asked for sugar with my hot tea, and they didn't have any. But then they scrounged up three crusty sweet and low packets after I asked a different waiter. The gyoza were ice cold inside, we had to send them back. When our sushi came, they didn't even give us plates, so my hubs and I had to eat over our placemats. We ordered the spicy dragon roll, dragon king roll, and shrimp roll. Tempora in dragon King was mushy and the wasabi was practically brown. Just didn't taste fresh at all. The sushi overall was sub par. Wouldn't waste my time or money coming back.
