Really good. Very strong in flavor. More of an after taste but its super tasty and addicting.

This is, without a doubt, the worst Lee's Sandwiches I have ever visited. My appeal to Lee's is the promise of a superior bánh mì, specifically the freshly baked bread. While the bread may have technically been baked that day, the quality was severely lacking. The flavor was noticeably off, suggesting a recipe or process that is distinctly different--and inferior--to their other locations. The foundation of a great bánh mì was compromised. The issues didn't stop with the bread. The BBQ pork filling was surprisingly dry, contributing to an overall uninspired sandwich experience. I should have taken a clue from the unusual offerings: the presence of lottery tickets and a wide array of non-Vietnamese foods signaled that this location was not prioritizing its core product. Given the heavy foot traffic and surrounding businesses, this location has incredible potential. It's truly a shame they aren't capitalizing on it. A significant improvement in the freshness and flavor of their food would undoubtedly attract a much larger, more satisfied customer base. In short, I was hoping for better, but this visit was a total disappointment. I will absolutely not be returning.

They sell $6 for frozen bottle if their coffee that you can make 3 cups with. They have a website you can order from but they charge processing fee (+$1-2), I suggest you walk in and order so you don't waste the extra money. It's pasadena though so parking is rough but I walked my way there in the afternoon. Practically no one and service was fast.

    biscoff coffee

They offer the viral Biscoff and Banana Coffee here. :) They don't have it online. But they do have it walk-in. Very good!

Lee's sandwiches is a classic and never fails to disappoint. Sandwiches and coffee have always been consistent no matter what location I go to. The cashier was super friendly when I walked in. The interior was small but bright and clean. They have a lot of variety of drinks in their coolers. The menu is extensive and a variety of selections to choose from.

I got the turkey and ham sandwich. The bread was fresh and was tasty. I ordered a vanilla latte. It was on the sweet side but didn't ask to make sure it wasn't. But the coffee taste was Fresh and I can taste it in the iced coffee. Thank you Lee's!

A relatively well-established Lee's Sandwich in the heart of Pasadena's E Colorado Blvd. I was impressed by the freshness and quality of the Banh Mi and pork pastries despite the relatively humble appearance of the store. The location is relatively convenient to my home but parking can be tricky, so recommend mass pick-ups and delivery when possible! Definitely hits the Banh Mi spot!

Our croissant, iced coffee, and avocado smoothie

I was driving by with my mom after visiting a nearby botanical garden. We got 2 sandwiches, 2 drinks, and some croissants. The restaurant was very clean and they even had a large air conditioning/fan at the back of the restaurant so it was very cool inside. The sandwiches (barbecue pork and special) were very delicious. The baguette is very crispy and the meat is tasty, not too salty! The croissants were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. My mom got an iced coffee and I got an avocado smoothie and they were very refreshing since it was over 90 degrees outside! When we came, there was a small line but the cashier was very fast taking everyone's orders and our food came out very quickly.

This is a very nice place to stop in and have a great lunch or dinner. Traditional Vietnamese food is their specialty. The foods are made from family recipes. Close attention is paid to preparation and flavor. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I needed extra explanations on some of the items and they were eager to accommodate my requests. I decided to try a soup and sandwich type of meal. For the soup portion I decided on the Special Pho Combination. For the sandwich Ham and Meatloaf. I sat down and waited for my order to be completed. After a short wait my order was ready and I was on my way home. When I unpacked my food I was impressed that everything was individually wrapped and placed carefully in the bag. Every ingredient of the soup had an individual wrapping. I was impressed by how much broth was given to put together my soup. I found the perfect bowl in my cabinet and combined all of the individual ingredients. They were all very fresh. The soup had a nice aroma as I warmed up the soup. The sandwich was ready to go and after the first couple of bites I was happy with my Ham and Meatloaf combination. Very impressed with the spice and flavor. This location has great parking. As well as a nice outside patio to compliment the tables that are located on the inside. The music coming through the speakers added to the ambience. I look forward to coming back and trying some of the other Vietnamese special foods on the menu.

There are plenty of other offerings in the area. I grew up with the chain and have tried various locations. Pho Banh Mi Che Cali generally promises a large selection of affordable various Vietnamese dishes at a super casual environment. No frills and amazing value. Unfortunately, I feel like this location is trying to do a lot of things. They offer Ramen or Chinese soups. There's so many "new item" signs and I really think they are losing their core identity. I'm getting off topic. I ordered the Pho with extra beef. I found the self-ordering kiosk to be easy to use. I was able to pay, grab a number and find myself a seat. While it wasn't a very clean place, it was fine. Where I was disappointed was when I tried the broth of my pho. I think Pho should have been a slam dunk for this restaurant. It's a staple to Vietnamese cuisine, so I'm sorry to report - I thought it was bland. I would say the worst pho in recent memory. The price starts at $12.99, so it's a tad cheaper than a normal sit down, but with the portions I got, i really think it isn't an excuse. I noticed others customers in the restaurant ordered Banh mi. Perhaps that's a better bet.

Their prices have not changed in years and the portions remain the same versus shrinkflation. Their menu is not that big but it has your essential Vietnamese dishes. Today I ordered the banh beo bi, vermicelli with nem nuong and egg rolls, nem nuong coun and che ba mau. Banh beo bi are rice cakes topped with shredded pork. It comes with chilies and fish sauce for you to pour on top. The rice cakes are served warm and are super smooth and soft. The thai chilies it comes with are spicy so don't use too much. The vermicelli with nem nuong and egg rolls comes with a slab of meat and a whole egg roll. The bottom are the noodles and mix of veggie and herbs. The nem nuong is sweetened charbroiled pork that is grilled. Think of a sweet meat ball. The egg rolls are super crispy and filled with meat. The noodles go well with the fish sauce and there are a lot of veggies inside. The nem nuong coun is a spring roll that's wrapped in rice paper. It has the meat and lettuce wrapped inside and comes with a dipping sauce. I believe the sauce is made with ground shrimp. For $8 for 3 rolls it is a steal compared to other restaurants. If you are craving Brodards in OC this place can satisfy your craving. Their che ba mau which is a 3 bean dessert has a lot of beans inside topped with coconut milk and shaved ice. It is the person drink to finish your meal and it is not too sweet.

This tiny, CASH-ONLY spot is a true "hole-in-the-wall" featuring fewer than seven tables and a bustling take out business. While service is casual and you might need to flag someone down to pay, the staff is incredibly helpful with the menu. We ordered: #8 Nem Nướng Cuốn với Chả Ram Tôm ($7.95): Three spring rolls packed with charbroiled meatballs, crispy fried shrimp rolls, and fresh lettuce. #40 Bún Chả Giò Thịt Nướng ($12.95): a vibrant vermicelli bowl topped with savory charbroiled pork and crispy egg rolls. I originally had my eye on the #36, but the owner stepped in with a brilliant suggestion. She recommended swapping it for the #40 so we could experience the charbroiled pork. Since the #8 spring rolls already featured the charbroiled meatballs, this swap gave us a complete "tasting tour" of their signature grilled meats in one sitting. The #8 spring rolls are the standout -- so good they're worth an extra order to-go. For anyone looking for authentic Vietnamese flavors in a no-frills setting, this spot is a must-visit. Finally got a chance to come-in & I'm glad that I did. Although, I have my "go-to whole-in-the-wall Vietnamese" place in the SFV, there'a always room for more businesses to support & Mama Hong's Vietnamese Kitchen - Burbank definitely deserves your patronage. It's a welcome step-up from your typical no-frills Vietnamese place, so the vibe / decor is especially great if you're introducing someone to Vietnamese cuisine for their first time. FOOD **PRO TIP: Go "Family-Style" = split multiple dishes amongst your table so you can have the opportunity to try multiple delishes dishes at once. That's the move. Shaken Beef Garlic Noodles - 9.2 / 10 **GET THIS DISH!!!!!** I did my "due diligence" before coming here & I 100% knew that I wanted to try this particular dish before coming here. In fact, the person whom I came here with wanted this too. (She didn't tell me in-advance). Needless to say, when multiple people have the exact same dish in-mind, you know that this is a good sign. Strips of lean, tender, juicy, quality, tenderloin steak, well-sautéed onions, plenty of garlic, served on top of a bed of al dente noodles. What's not to love? It's like eating a big, bowl, or spaghetti, but without the overpowering tomato sauce. Don't let the simplicity fool you. Yeah, I could very, well likely make this dish as home, but sometime it' just nice to leave some things to the pros. You can't go wrong with this dish. It sounds delicious in theory & it delivers on all fronts in reality. Spicy Garlic Chicken Rice - 8.9 / 10 A nice counterpoint to the heavier beef dishes that are offered, the well-seasoned, not-overly dry, but not-too spicy chicken is substantial. Round that off with an adequate portion of perfectly-steamed white rice & some fresh veggies (your standard pickled carrots, daikon radish, & lettuce), & you got yourself a solid chicken dish. Grilled Ribeye Steak Sandwich - 9.1 / 10 I hadn't had breakfast, so I was definitely craving a bit more to satisfy my hunger. This beef variant of a traditional Vietnamese Bahn-Mi hit the spot. Since I'm used to eating more economical + fattier cuts of beef for my bahn-mi, it's a rather welcome + modern twist to be using more premium cuts of steak (I honestly might steal this move the next time I whip-up a bahn-mi at home). It was hearty & you can definitely tell that the quality is there. I could be mistaken, but I wouldn't be surprised is there was some fish sauce that was used to marinade the steak. It makes for such a well-rounded, savory flavor. The crisp veggies, & aromatic cilantro round-out all taste sensations on a fresh baguette. In many ways, this is the fancier, upgraded, "Rolls Royce", of a typical whole-in-the wall Vietnamese spot's bahn-mi, & that is sometimes what you want. I would definitely get this again, especially if I was on-the-go. DRINKS Mango Jasmine Iced Tea - 8.9 / 10 Don't sleep on Mama Hong's handcrafted beverages. The mango jasmine iced tea provides everything that I want in thirst-quenching drink. You get the tropical tones of the mango offset by the herbaceous jasmine of the tea. I especially appreciate that it's not overly sweet. I especially dig that their handcrafted beverages come in customized branded plastic packaging with that soda-can lever-opener-style lid. You just don't get that anywhere. The staff is super accommodating. Shout-out to Mariska for being such a friendly & warm server. Granted, I came on a Sunday afternoon (around 2pm-3:30pm), don't be surprised if you have to wait because I can see this place being quite the trendy spot. Granted it's casual, it's still feels a bit nicer/fancier than the more relaxed bars, fast-casual spots in the surrounding area. You can't go wrong with Mama Hong's Vietnamese Kitchen - Burbank. A solid choice, indeed.
