We have heard good things about Lee's Kitchen so in the area we decided to pick up a light lunch. We ordered hot and sour soup and Lee's appetizer combo. It includes 2 Spring Rolls, 2 Shrimp Tempura, 4 Chicken Wings and 4 Fried Wonton, Since my favorite Chinese restaurant with delicious hot and sour soup closed I have been searching for a good replacement. Lee's Kitchen's soup was too vinegary for my taste. It definitely did not make me want to order it again, The spring rolls and wontons were very crispy which I really liked. I couldn't tell what the fillings were though, the wonton's especially just tasted like overcooked cabbage. The tempura and wings were decent but nothing special. In Lee's defense we did not eat them as soon as we got home so hot out of the frier they would probably have been better.. Only if we were right in the area would we go back to Lee's and try an entree. But my quest for the perfect hot and sour soup continues. read more

Do not go to this place, any good review is a fake. Disgusting, got wontons without filling, well maybe a drop and what i got was so hard it almost broke my tooth, (ok exaggerating) called up to complain about the wontons and the tiny amount of filling. Oh that is how we make them with very little meat. I truly do not understand how this place is in business and what is wrong with people in Silver Spring. A Real little gem Chinese restaurant. I ordered BBQ roast pork for appetizer. It was so so good. This is the best BBQ roast pork I have had so far in my town even though they are just a tiny TOGO place, but their quality is different story. They already made me falling love from first time I tried. I also ordered Lee's combo appetizers.(mix spring rolls, wings, shrimp tempuras, fried wontons) They were great too. The price and portion are very good deal. A lot of selections of Chinese food on menu. Sometimes you can't judge people from look, I think, the restaurant too. I've ordered delivery several times. The orders were on time and accurate. The food was somewhat bland but acceptable in taste, with a reasonable amount of meat and vegetables. I did add seasonings at home, especially to the wonton soup, which was undersalted. The container size - shrinkflation has occurred. My wife and I used to live nearby and carried out from Lee's Kitchen often. We loved the food. We moved away and had not been back in several decades. Now that we've again had their food, we will return often! First, i am gluten free and it is not easy finding a Chinese restaurant that understands. MOST soy sauce is made with WHEAT! Lee's Kitchen understands AND offers gluten free soy sauce, although at a somewhat outrageous surcharge of $1.75 per dish. Admittedly, GF soy sauce is a lot more expensive than ordinary soy sauce, but this is extreme! What I liked: The guy who takes the orders, perhaps the owner, is a NICE person. Patiently explains ingredients and fully understands people with special dietary needs. Fish Filet with black bean sauce was excellent. Drunken noodles was excellent and very different from Joe's Noodle House, the standard by which I judge. The shrimp were large and delicious. Minced Chicken lettuce wrap appetizer was good but cheapened with diced sweet peppers. What I did NOT like: I do not know the chef's background, but I would guess he or she is NOT from Szechuan! MaPo Tofu is my all time favorite authentic Chinese dish. Sadly, very few restaurants make it well. It is NOT enough to cube some tofu and make it spicy hot! Lee's Kitchen MaPo was Very disappointing. Drive the additional 8 miles or so to either Joe's Noodle House or Szechuan Jin River for GREAT MaPo! Although I am not of Chinese descent, I know and appreciate authentic Chinese food and, especially, real Asian veggies. I am not certain, but I doubt that Lee's has any. I may be wrong! read more

This place is our favorite in the area. I normally don't like Cashew Chicken, and I love their Cashew Chicken. We have our favorites on the menu, but everything we've tried has been good. Ten months ago I gave them an unfavorable review, and did not go back - decided to try again last night, big mistake. I insisted they repeat the order back to me on the phone (which they initially got wrong). When we arrived home with the food it was clear they put lots of hot red pepper flakes in a dish which has NEVER had peppers in 15 years. Lee's Kitchen isn't anything fancy, but the food is good, they alter their recipes for allergies, and give good portions - what else could you ask from a carryout only Chinese place in a strip mall? Their Singapore rice noodles are my absolute favorite. I like Lee's way more than the "Hokkien Street Noodles" at PF Chang's (to serve as a well known comparison). There is plenty of meat (pork, chicken, and shrimp) and everything else. They can take out (or add) whatever you like. We have ordered it gluten free (GF) and vegetarian (they put extra/additional veggies and it's always been good! We also order Hunan Chicken gluten which they make GF in a white sauce. We order it white meat only and there is always plenty of good tasting/textured chicken. Sometimes they make it pretty spicy, sometimes not so I guess it depends who's cooking. In the past I've ordered egg drop soup, shrimp toast, and spring rolls as appetizers and have liked all of them. Nothing special, but tasty and good enough! read more

However both my husband and I could not sleep that night because of dehydration and bloating from the extreme amount of sodium and grease in their food. I had heard about Lee's Kitchen for years but since we live in Gaithersburg we never went out of our way to eat here. We came here very hungry and the food was delicious. The Peking Duck was all meat. I loved the Pan fried noodles with loads of veggies and chicken, beef and huge shrimp. Based on other reviews we ordered the Marengo chicken. This is the worst Chinese food I have had in years...I placed a order on Uber eats ordered Kung pao chicken, shrimp with broccoli, and couple soups....I have never seem Kung Pao chicken looking like that in my life, chicken is so hard and stale, taste like something has been siting out on buffet bar for hours and hours, worst of all it does not taste anything like Kung pao chicken. Shrimp with broccoli has no taste shrimp way over cook....out of the 3 dishes I order had to throw 2 dishes out that's how bad the food tasted will never order from this place again!! read more
