Lee kitchen in madera is one of our favorite Chinese places to eat in the Central Valley. It's a different type of flavor from other Chinese places. They make everything fresh. It's located by madera ranchos. It's a drive from where I live but it's worth the scenery and then if you order yourself a lil crab ragoon appetizer (not pictured) you'll be alright lol Those ragoons never make it home btw. I've also tried other dishes, so if this particular plate isn't your niche, give something else a try. The shrimp and broccoli with extra crispy noodles is my favorite. I love the crispy yet soft broccoli, and the big shrimp. They do not play about their portions. I believe they also have a drive thru. I recommend taking cash, they do accept cards. 1/24/26 Getting lunch! I called and ordered their cheese won tons & Special Fun noodle soup. The worker was very kind and said it would be ready in 15 minutes. Go get.... Arrived! Restaurant is Really nice! Safe & clean! Calm. Spacious. Lots of seating. Greeted by kind worker and order was ready. Paid for it and wished a good day! =) Lunchtime! Order split. Plenty!! Special Fun noodle soup is DELICIOUS! Great amount of meat, veggies & noodles! Flavorful!! They include hot sauce to spice it up and make it even better!!! Cheese won tons were Great too! Lee Kitchen is hands-down the best Chinese food in Madera! Even though it's a bit of a drive for me, the quality makes it absolutely worth the trip. We've tried a huge variety of their menu, and every single dish has been a hit. The ultimate proof? I ordered Sweet & Sour Chicken last Friday night and if you're expecting the one the previous owner made, save your money. This new version is awful. Little bitty pieces of tough and stringy chicken, 1/4 the size of the previous owners dish. This version had very few vegetables with a couple of carrot and peppers slivers. Mostly onions. They are kind as well, I called to place an order without realizing it was close to closing but they showed no signs of being upset that we placed the order so late. The food is fresh and I love the option to call an order in and go through the drive thru. I haven't dined in before, but we sat inside waiting for an order. This place to me has the best BBQ pork. We ordered a plate and the bbq pork is thick, soft and seasoned to perfection. The sweet and sour was crispy how I like it. The chow main was not my favorite. I am so disappointed in my first experience with this restaurant. I'd read the awesome reviews and saw the amazing food. I was excited to try it! I placed a to go order from home and was told to pick up around 6pm. When I arrived, it took five minutes for me to be greeted and spoken to. I was told my order was waiting for 1 more item. The fried wontons. After 15 mins, I asked how much longer and stated my concern that the rest of my food was now going to be cold. They said they would go check, 5 mins later the wontons were done. They packaged up my food and I ask, no the rest will be cold now (I even checked it) they didn't offer any solution. Just sent me home with my lukewarm chicken and noodles. Maybe I'll go eat in next time, but it will be along time now before I give them another chance. read more

The flavor of the food was great my problem was it doesn't have good reheat value so there's that. After a year has gone by I went back to Lee Kitchen last night for dinner. It was wonderful. We ordered egg flower soup, steamed potstickers, and teriyaki chicken. Portions were generous and service A+. We had two females and one Asian male severs. All three were good, but I preferred the male better. Lee Kitchen is about 18 miles away from us but well worth the drive. Hands down the best overall Chinese food in the Fresno Clovis Madera area. Everything is good!! We usually do take out but the restaurant is clean, service is great. They do have a drive thru for picking up to go orders but we have never used that so I can't say much there. Today after leaving the winery, we went to Lee kitchen to see if they would buy wine from the winery and while we were there, we decided to eat, we ordered the Szechuan eggplant, dry, cooked beef, and chicken salad. The chicken salad was good. The chicken was cooked. Fresh had cucumbers and little wontons, but it needed more dressing. I give it a rating of seven out of 10 the eggplant Szechuan was very good. The eggplant was cooked very well. Nice texture had bell peppers. onions carrots was not real spicy for Szechuan but adequate I would give that a 8 1/2 out of 10 now to the dry beef which I've never had before, so it's hard to compare massive amount of beef. First of all. All portions are large. The beef was very interesting. It had a sweet and sour taste to it. Texture was a little chewy, but you kept going back for more. I would give it a nine out of 10. since this restaurant is in Madera and I live in Fresno I probably will not go back there again unless I'm in the area it's located in Madeira Ranchos and it's a solid Chinese restaurant service is a little slow. There's only one person in the kitchen cooking but other than that overall experience eight out of 10 I would think that the neighbors in that neighborhood have a nice Chinese restaurant that's a wrap read more

First time here and they really impressed! This is a mom & pop Chinese restaurant, place is old but it is clean. Environment- There are plenty of tables, you may pick your seat and the servers are quick to hand you a menu. The service was fast and very friendly. Majority of other tables were older couples but the restaurant was lively with many laughters. Price- Great value!! The portion sizes were huge and around $11-15 for dinner plates (less for lunch). They have family style soups that come out in a huge bowl and was $12.99 and was plenty to share plus take home. They take cash & cards (no American Express). Food- Tasty and authentic. I ordered kung pao chicken and my fiancé ordered the orange chicken both with pork fried rice. We each got two large scoops of fried rice with plenty of pork and it tasted great, seasoned well and wasn't greasy. The fried rice did not have vegetables. The KUNG PAO CHICKEN, was a 8 out of 10, I would have given it a 10 but it was a bit too salty for my taste. The chicken itself is definitely a 10, it was tender and super soft. They use white chicken meat and fresh vegetables. The ORANGE CHICKEN was a 9 out of 10. It was crispy and really flavorful, not too sweet and enough tanginess. The batter ratio to chicken was perfect. HOT & SOUR SOUP was a 10/10!! Normally hot and sour soup comes with more eggs as fillers, but this soup was packed with ingredients- they did not skim out! Major points for using ear wood mushrooms and having a lot of it within the soup. The carrots are thinly sliced and tender, the bamboo shoots were soft and tasted delicious. folks, this differs from the Lees I once gave a 5-star review to 6 years ago. They have had new owners since then and the place is, well, to be blunt horrible. We went there last week and it is the first time I can remember when the whole party at a table just kind of looked at each other and then we all agreed to pay and leave, and by leaving, I mean that also included all plates left behind full.
