Thoughtful. The design here is very thoughtful, colorful, and stylish. I really wanted to try this place since Thai is one of my favorite foods. They have great HH until 6pm. I greatly enjoyed the papaya and mushroom appetizers. However, the pork appetizer was pretty dry. Then I split the Sadtor Shrimp with a friend. It was very flavorful. Speaking of flavor, spicy medium is actually quite hot. Cocktails are yummy and there are mocktail versions for the same price as leaded. Staff was a little hard to pin down even though there was only a couple tables. In conclusion, it was very thoughtful concept overall but sticking to some basics would have made me give the full 5.
I have heard nothing but rave reviews about LeDu Thai from friends for months, so I finally decided to check it out. While my first meal didn't quite live up to the hype, I am definitely planning to return. The atmosphere alone makes this spot worth visiting. The decor is the perfect balance of funky yet elegant. It feels upscale enough for a date night, but remains comfortable rather than stuffy. The service was also top-notch, and the location is fantastic. As for the food, my experience was a bit of a miss. I ordered the tofu Pad Thai and requested a 3/5 spice level, but unfortunately, the dish arrived with zero heat and came across quite bland. That said, I'm willing to chalk it up to an off day in the kitchen. Given the great vibes and excellent service, I'm looking forward to giving them a second chance and trying something different on the menu next time!
Kao Soi was a bit too sweet for me but I could tell they have a solid curry paste down. My perfect version would have different ratios but this one's pretty damn good. This was the first time I tried Kua Kling and it definitely won't be the last. It's got a really great spicy kick that pairs well with the lime leaves and lemongrass. It's like Pad Kra Pao's unappreciated cousin. The thai tea is alright here but overwhelmingly sweet. There's a couple of little things like the rice being slightly overcooked that make me want to try their other location to see if the quality control is better there, because the recipes seem promising.
I LOVE THE THAI CUSTARD, I dream about it every month. the pornstar drink is very good as well. the crying tiger is a little dry? depending on the day. the pad z u is perfect, not too sweet or salty. I love the dark lighting ambience. The service is very friendly and attentive.
5/5 for food 2/5 for speed 5/5 for vibe 3/5 for drinks LeDu is easily one of my top Thai spots. Great for takeout, but also such a cute date night place. This is where you go for a cute, slightly elevated dinner vibe. Gentlemen, this is a safe win. I usually don't touch the appetizer menu and just get a noodle dish as my "starter," but this time we switched it up. We got the Som dtam plara Los style and the Happy Tiger. The som dtam was a little too fishy for me personally, but everyone else at the table loved it. Happy Tiger was good. Nothing crazy, just exactly what the menu says, NY steak. For entrees, I always go for the pad zee u. I love a thick noodle moment, and theirs is so good. It's super garlicky, soy saucey, just hits every time. I get it with fried tofu and it's perfect. Another must is the gaeng panang curry, which is probably their most popular dish for a reason. It's sooo good. One of the best curries in the Valley. The short rib is insanely tender and just soaks up all the flavor. You will not want to share it. Service is really the only downside. If you go during peak hours, just be ready to wait. They seem a little understaffed when it's packed. One time we waited about 45 minutes for food. But they did acknowledge it and made it right, which I appreciated. Every other time, it's been pretty normal timing. Overall this is a great pick. ENJOY!
I showed up to have a late lunch at around 2pm. There were only a couple more diners inside and no one dining al fresco. Service was attentive and the staff was very nice. The inside of the restaurant was super cute and painted in a vibrant green - it feels cheerful and chill and kind of tropical inside. I started with the pork larb Thai style and it hit the spot. The minty chili lime flavor was spot on. It wasn't too tart and I requested mild spice level, just in case LeDu's idea of mild might taste like a strong medium to me. Larb is a great cold appetizer and made exactly the way I expected. Then my papaya salad arrived, this dish also had the right amount of chili lime flavor with crisp papayas and long beans. The wings were overcooked and a little on the dry side. They were unseasoned and definitely needed the dipping sauce. I love chicken wings, so I'd give this another try. My table had a card on the table advertising their drinks and desserts. I saw Thai tea custard and my interest was piqued. I love Thai tea and I love custard, this will be a double win. It was not a double win. The dessert was not in custard form, I could have eaten it like soup. The toast was nice and buttery, but I wouldn't order it again. The way it was served intrigued me, but there wasn't anything else about it to keep me interested. I'll just keep drinking my Thai teas with dinner and skip the custard. I enjoyed my lunch here and would return. It had been recommended to me by a Thai person, and overall, happy with my appetizers.
This place is the ultimate vibe. I absolutely loved the ambiance. I ended up ordering the Coconut Sunset which was my type of adult beverage because I didn't even taste the alcohol. My friend and I ordered the Pla Goong Salad which was delicious. In addition, we shared the crab fried rice and crabmeat turmeric dishes . They did ask us what spice level we wanted which we opted for mild lol. The food was full of flavor and we cleaned our plates. This is a great spot and an even better one for a date night. I can't wait to come back.
My dining experience at LeDu Thai was great. I ordered the Magic Noodle salad from the appetizer menu and the Mango Charm dessert, and both were delicious. The Magic Noodle salad was colorful and fresh, but the coolest part is that it literally turns purple when you pour the dressing on top that's why it's called "magic" noodle. It was a fun touch. The noodle salad vinaigrette reminded me a lot of Vietnamese nuoc cham: bright, tangy, slightly savory, spicy and it paired perfectly with the noodles and fresh vegetables. The Mango Charm dessert was light and refreshing, not overly sweet, which I really appreciated. It's basically ice cream with fresh mangoes. It came out a Tuesday evening and it was very busy. The service was great. The servers were very attentive. The ambience was kinda cool. It was a trendy dark and enchanting vibe - something different for a Thai restaurant located near Roosevelt Row. Great food, beautiful food presentation, and an overall good vibe. I'll definitely be back maybe during happy hour.
Went here for Valentine's Day with my girlfriends and it was great! We even got a cute little spot in the back that felt secluded from everyone else, which made it feel extra fancy! The ambiance is perfect, with dim lighting, music playing, and a plant filled vibe that makes the whole place feel cozy and aesthetic. The food was delicious. My favorite was definitely the magic noodles. They pour this sauce on top that changes the noodles from blue to pink! Not only was the color change so fun, but the quality of the dish was perfection. We also got the steak appetizer and it was delicious. The dipping sauce was amazing, and the price was super reasonable too. Unfortunately, I didn't particularly enjoy the entrées, but that was more of a personal preference. I don't usually like coconut flavored dishes, but all my friends really enjoyed theirs and I could tell by the quality that it was a well made dish. I also got a mocktail and it was delicious, it tasted like a piña colada! The service was very polite but unfortunately not very attentive. At one point we were waiting a long time after our entrée because we really wanted dessert, and by the time the server came back, the dessert we wanted was sold out. It may have already been sold out, but it's hard to say. To be fair, it was Valentine's Day, so I completely understand that it was probably just a very busy night. Overall, I would definitely go back!
This is my second time here but was still such an enjoyable experience! I came for a date night and was not disappointed. We were seated very fast, the server and hostess were super kind and friendly. For food we ordered: Pad Z U 19$ Kra Pao 19$ Larb Mushroom 10$ The portions were really good and were very filling! Drinks: Singha Beer 7$ Passionfruit Fizz 9$ We went during happy hour so the appetizer and Passionfruit Fizz were smaller priced. Food came out very fast and it genuinely is the best Pad See ew i have ever had. I adored the ambience, the lights were dimmed around 5:30/6 and it really transported you to a Thai destination. The decor was so fun to look at during the dining experience as well.
I come here one a year when I'm in the area for a work conference, I always look forward to getting a meal at LeDu Thai. The location is extremely walkable if you are staying at a hotel downtown, I can't speak to parking since I've never driven there. There is table or bar service, and a cute patio. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The cocktails here are excellent. The espresso martini is top notch! They have great happy hour options for food and cocktails. We ordered a beautiful spread of appetizers. The flavors at LeDu Thai are so delicious, perfectly balanced with spice and flavor. We got medium hot which was nice and warm, with Thai hot chili oil on the side. The Larb Pork and Larb Mushroom is exploding with flavor, truly unreal dishes! I love this place and look forward to eating here every year!
Dinner was amazing! The patio was so nice to sit on and enjoy the lovely fall Arizona weather. Service was great and quick. Our server was attentive and helpful. We ordered the lard pork salad as a starter, very delicious and flavorful. For an entree we enjoyed the pad Thai and it was absolutely so delicious and flavorful. I was skeptical of the fried tofu but it was such a tasty texture and flavorful addition. Highly recommend!
Came in for dinner with some very fun friends before the Sarah Millican show on Saturday night. They take reservations and I can absolutely see how that would be helpful as this place can get busy and parking can be tough to find. There is street parking by meter and perhaps some without meter elsewhere if you want to walk a little ways. This location is right off Roosevelt. Staff was super nice, very attentive, and helpful in making recommendations. Prices are reasonable. Flavors are delicious. I forgot to write down what my friends ordered but everyone really liked what they ordered. Spice levels as described. Would definitely come back and would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed the yummy food at Ledu Thai. Came here for a friends dinner this past Saturday. Cocktails were strong and tasty which we enjoyed. I ordered the pad Thai and husband got the pad z u. Both are the bomb and has amazing flavor. The place is so cutely decorated. I'm obsessed with the fun green interior and frames, paintings and figures. Our server was this lady and she was nice but what our table didn't appreciate was she failed to tell us that the bill came with 20% gratuity so she basically got almost 50% of gratuity. Rubbed us the wrong way. I don't mind paying for great service but is a bit much and most places we've dined at, servers tend to be forthcoming about this kind of matter. read more

Today I visited LeDu, a newly opened Thai restaurant, while in the neighborhood. As someone with extensive experience in Thai cuisine, I was impressed by the authenticity of the menu. The Pad Kee Mao was exceptional, perfectly cooked with delicious noodles and a balanced heat level. I added Gai Lan for an extra $3, which was a great choice. The portion size was generous. The interior and patio were clean, contemporary, and well-maintained. The server was friendly and efficient. However, I won't return due to a personal policy against paying credit card add-on charges. While the surcharge was only 2.5%, it felt excessive and unnecessary. Many people I know share my dislike of being nickel-and-dimed as customers. I understand this is subjective, but I believe it's a common issue. Most people don't carry cash, so the owner may as well put a sign on the front door, "Unless you have plenty of cash on your person, add 2.5% to the prices you see on our menu." I suggest a business owner raise menu prices instead of irritating customers with petty surcharges. Everything about this friendly and upscale Thai restaurant is superb. Thai food is as good as any in the Valley. You won't be disappointed if you don't have the same "policy" I do. It's really good and authentic. read more

This was such an amazing find on a whim. My friend and I were waiting for our other friends flight to get in and didn't want to venture too far away from the airport and this spot was about 10 minutes away, which was the perfect amount of time to kill a few hours, this spot is incredibly charming. The decor is amazing and the food is also just as good. the stuff where the sweetest and we couldn't found a better spot for dinner. We had the papaya salad and then we shared an order of chicken pad. Thai both were so good. We even brought our leftovers to our friend at the airport and she was grateful for the food and enjoyed it as well. read more

LeDu LeDuuuuuuuu The ambiance of this joint is so cute perfect date night spot, Service is on point such a friendly crew that take promptness to another level, LeDu makes me feel like Thailand was brought to me! This Thai restaurant is by far my favorite because, dish after dish that came out did not disappoint as a matter of fact pleasantly surprised me! We came here for a friends birthday. Initially made a reservation but when we got there they weren't aware we had one--luckily it wasn't packed so they were able to seat our party anyway. Ambiance was super welcoming. loved the decor inside. Pricing was fair for food and drinks. Drinks weren't very strong. Servers were very friendly and quick. Dessert was yummy. Downside is they add a mandatory 20% fee to your bill if it's a "large party". There were 5 of us when we visited. I was able to place an entree order to go as well and they brought it out with the check. read more

We checked this place out on a Friday night and got lucky with getting a table for 4. The atmosphere is very cute! Love the green on the walls and decor. Thai tea was really yummy. Not too sweet, just how I like it. Tried the mushroom larb-hot which was AMAZING. The mushrooms had great texture and the spice along with tang was a great flavor combination. They had an extra mild mushroom larb which they brought us which was very kind! Our table tried the panang curry-hot (AMAZING flavor, highly recommend), pad z u which was yummy, pad ki mao which also tasted amazing, great portion size and the gaeng crabmeat tumeric-thai hot. Unfortunately this was not good. The curry tasted watered down, lacked flavor and it definitely had no spice, especially when we ordered it to be Thai hot. We informed out waitress and the only resolution they offered was to provide additional chili on the side which slightly helped. Just be aware they do not let you replace the dish which is something I've never experienced before so just FYI. The rest of the food was good and our waitresses was kind and knowledgeable. Our food came out pretty quick as well. Overall good experience and I could see myself coming back. Parking is pretty decent as well, just gatta know how to parallel park. read more

Tried out this new Thai spot in downtown and loved it!! The ambiance was incredible- so well decorated and such a beautiful vibe! The service was slow but that's to be expected with a new restaurant! The food was delicious without be warned the panang curry is SPICY even at a level 2 we were pounding waters. The waiters were all very nice and everybody was helping out with tables so we didn't necessarily have one waiter in particular. I would definitely come back!:) we loved all our dishes read more

This was one of the few restaurants in the area that we found which was open later. We were seated quickly and the waitstaff were friendly. Both my wife and I really enjoyed our food and found the prices to be fair. The only exception to that were the beverages which were $5 for a can of soda. Food: 5/5 Everything was phenomenal. I think the server (& owner??) said these are southern Thai dishes which tends to be more sour and spicy. Many of the dishes we got had lemongrass (which we love) so it really suited our taste buds. The dishes are on the smaller side and more reasonably priced, which is great for trying more dishes. Our items: HAT-YAI fried chicken 5/5 (the best friend chicken made of all places we've been; crispy chicken skin, juicy/tender meat; and the wings were big. Sweet & chili type sauce on the side, the skin themselves weren't seasoned but I'm ok with it) Som dtam plara Laos style (papaya salad) 4/5 (a bit too strong for us but I think that's how the dish is; can't tell what it is but we think it's some version of very strong fish sauce) Lamb Mushroom 5/5 (our go-to when we come back) Beef stew soup 5/5 (not my cup of soup but it was good still) Kua kling 4/5 (strong flavors, we asked for extra rice, but so good. We'll ask for an extra egg next time!) Gaeng Crabmeat turmeric 5/5 (my favorite! The sauce is so creamy and well balanced! The basil and cilantro are major players in this dish) Service: 5/5 So fast (on a Tuesday night) I didn't even blink before the appetizers were out. Super attentive staff. I was scrolling through Yelp and this restaurant popped up as new and I was excited to see that it is in the Roosevelt Row area. The interior is a vibrant green color that sets such a fun tone for LeDu. Service was great and the whole staff was friendly and wanted to make sure we enjoyed everything. The som dtam pokpok Thai style salad was spicy and fresh. The Chinese broccoli with crispy pork belly was delicious but the pork belly itself could've been crispier. The bong bong dessert was a highlight of the meal. LeDu has a great mixture of two of my other favorite local Thai restaurants, Glai Baan and Lom Wong, and adds another great Thai food option to the area. read more

New restaurant this year and it's very nice inside. My favorite will have to be the fried chicken(4) as it's very crispy and perfect seasoning but for $14 and I shared; I ate one piece. The kapro was too much of the fish sauce though it is the main ingredient, it was just over powering. The server was very kind and the food was good, but it didn't top my favorite Thai place in Phoenix. It was a bit pricey for very small portions. Great Thai food, love the ambiance and service was fantastic. Jay saved me with a glass of milk when I was done with my meal. The spice level is from 1-5, I ordered level 3 and had some heat to it. My friend and I ordered the papaya salad, beef soup and glass noodle shrimp entree. To finish, of course got the mango sticky rice for dessert - Definitely will revisit! read more

I love this place! It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's so beautiful and inviting inside. I loved the vibrant green color and the decorations on the walls. There are 2 private booths with curtains in the far back that are very striking, but the regular tables are also really nice. They dim the lights at night for a more intimate setting. We were seated very promptly for dinner on a weeknight, and the service was quick / friendly. We had an appetizer, main dishes and a dessert. Everything was very tasty. I had a level 2 spice for my dish, and it was quite spicy. I think a level 3 would have been too hot for me. Their menu says they do not do substitutions, and if you're a vegetarian you may notice that the choices of meat for the main dishes does not include a vegetarian option, but even though it's not on the menu, you can request tofu as the meat for the main dishes. I did, and it was not a problem. It's downtown, so you'll have to rely on street parking. There is non-metered street parking within a short walking distance. read more

Got to try this just a few days after opening and things seemed to be going smoothly. Everyone was super friendly and attentive. I loved the papaya salad with a nice kick to it. I also went with the kra pow chicken, which tasted really good, but a knife or chopsticks would have helped to break apart the egg a little. I ate it too quickly though to bother to ask for any. For dessert we split the bong bong it was also really tasty and refreshing. I can't wait to try some of the other dishes. Everything looked and smelled amazing. read more

Hi April...I did not see any signs that said it wasn't but a quick phone call will answer that question for you. I will say it would be a nice patio to have your fur baby with you :)
