Kao Soi was a bit too sweet for me but I could tell they have a solid curry paste down. My perfect version would have different ratios but this one's pretty damn good. This was the first time I tried Kua Kling and it definitely won't be the last. It's got a really great spicy kick that pairs well with the lime leaves and lemongrass. It's like Pad Kra Pao's unappreciated cousin. The thai tea is alright here but overwhelmingly sweet. There's a couple of little things like the rice being slightly overcooked that make me want to try their other location to see if the quality control is better there, because the recipes seem promising.
Ohhhhhh myyyyy tastebuds!!!!!! I'm gonna start with the crab fried rice. 10/10!!!! It was excellent, fresh, flavorful and had actual crabmeat throughout and on top. No additional sauce or spice needed. However, a portion of it I did put the chili oil and it was aromatic and oh so yummy. Next was the appetizers of the mushroom and the fried chicken. The mushrooms were more flavorful for me and I went with smedium heat level and my mouth was on fire! lol! The fried chicken wings were good, but not as wow as it's been raved about. This was my first time trying Thai tea and it was refreshing, light and not too sweet. I enjoyed it. To finish things up, I had the mango sticky rice (in my hotel). Another great treat to wrap up the meal. Jay, the server, bartender and all the roles he played to help out the team, was AMAZING! He was incredibly kind and made suggestions that I went with and I can't wait to go back. Definitely a cute sport for solo, dates or large gatherings. Check them out and enjoy!

This is where you go for a cute, slightly elevated dinner vibe. Gentlemen, this is a safe win. I usually don't touch the appetizer menu and just get a noodle dish as my "starter," but this time we switched it up. We got the Som dtam plara Los style and the Happy Tiger. The som dtam was a little too fishy for me personally, but everyone else at the table loved it. Happy Tiger was good. Nothing crazy, just exactly what the menu says, NY steak. For entrees, I always go for the pad zee u. I love a thick noodle moment, and theirs is so good. It's super garlicky, soy saucey, just hits every time. I get it with fried tofu and it's perfect. Another must is the gaeng panang curry, which is probably their most popular dish for a reason. It's sooo good. One of the best curries in the Valley. The short rib is insanely tender and just soaks up all the flavor. You will not want to share it. Service is really the only downside. If you go during peak hours, just be ready to wait. They seem a little understaffed when it's packed. One time we waited about 45 minutes for food. But they did acknowledge it and made it right, which I appreciated. Every other time, it's been pretty normal timing. Overall this is a great pick. ENJOY!
I showed up to have a late lunch at around 2pm. There were only a couple more diners inside and no one dining al fresco. Service was attentive and the staff was very nice. The inside of the restaurant was super cute and painted in a vibrant green - it feels cheerful and chill and kind of tropical inside. I started with the pork larb Thai style and it hit the spot. The minty chili lime flavor was spot on. It wasn't too tart and I requested mild spice level, just in case LeDu's idea of mild might taste like a strong medium to me. Larb is a great cold appetizer and made exactly the way I expected. Then my papaya salad arrived, this dish also had the right amount of chili lime flavor with crisp papayas and long beans. The wings were overcooked and a little on the dry side. They were unseasoned and definitely needed the dipping sauce. I love chicken wings, so I'd give this another try. My table had a card on the table advertising their drinks and desserts. I saw Thai tea custard and my interest was piqued. I love Thai tea and I love custard, this will be a double win. It was not a double win. The dessert was not in custard form, I could have eaten it like soup. The toast was nice and buttery, but I wouldn't order it again. The way it was served intrigued me, but there wasn't anything else about it to keep me interested. I'll just keep drinking my Thai teas with dinner and skip the custard. I enjoyed my lunch here and would return. It had been recommended to me by a Thai person, and overall, happy with my appetizers.
My dining experience at LeDu Thai was great. I ordered the Magic Noodle salad from the appetizer menu and the Mango Charm dessert, and both were delicious. The Magic Noodle salad was colorful and fresh, but the coolest part is that it literally turns purple when you pour the dressing on top that's why it's called "magic" noodle. It was a fun touch. The noodle salad vinaigrette reminded me a lot of Vietnamese nuoc cham: bright, tangy, slightly savory, spicy and it paired perfectly with the noodles and fresh vegetables. The Mango Charm dessert was light and refreshing, not overly sweet, which I really appreciated. It's basically ice cream with fresh mangoes. It came out a Tuesday evening and it was very busy. The service was great. The servers were very attentive. The ambience was kinda cool. It was a trendy dark and enchanting vibe - something different for a Thai restaurant located near Roosevelt Row. Great food, beautiful food presentation, and an overall good vibe. I'll definitely be back maybe during happy hour.
This place is the ultimate vibe. I absolutely loved the ambiance. I ended up ordering the Coconut Sunset which was my type of adult beverage because I didn't even taste the alcohol. My friend and I ordered the Pla Goong Salad which was delicious. In addition, we shared the crab fried rice and crabmeat turmeric dishes . They did ask us what spice level we wanted which we opted for mild lol. The food was full of flavor and we cleaned our plates. This is a great spot and an even better one for a date night. I can't wait to come back.
Went here for Valentine's Day with my girlfriends and it was great! We even got a cute little spot in the back that felt secluded from everyone else, which made it feel extra fancy! The ambiance is perfect, with dim lighting, music playing, and a plant filled vibe that makes the whole place feel cozy and aesthetic. The food was delicious. My favorite was definitely the magic noodles. They pour this sauce on top that changes the noodles from blue to pink! Not only was the color change so fun, but the quality of the dish was perfection. We also got the steak appetizer and it was delicious. The dipping sauce was amazing, and the price was super reasonable too. Unfortunately, I didn't particularly enjoy the entrées, but that was more of a personal preference. I don't usually like coconut flavored dishes, but all my friends really enjoyed theirs and I could tell by the quality that it was a well made dish. I also got a mocktail and it was delicious, it tasted like a piña colada! The service was very polite but unfortunately not very attentive. At one point we were waiting a long time after our entrée because we really wanted dessert, and by the time the server came back, the dessert we wanted was sold out. It may have already been sold out, but it's hard to say. To be fair, it was Valentine's Day, so I completely understand that it was probably just a very busy night. Overall, I would definitely go back!
This is my second time here but was still such an enjoyable experience! I came for a date night and was not disappointed. We were seated very fast, the server and hostess were super kind and friendly. For food we ordered: Pad Z U 19$ Kra Pao 19$ Larb Mushroom 10$ The portions were really good and were very filling! Drinks: Singha Beer 7$ Passionfruit Fizz 9$ We went during happy hour so the appetizer and Passionfruit Fizz were smaller priced. Food came out very fast and it genuinely is the best Pad See ew i have ever had. I adored the ambience, the lights were dimmed around 5:30/6 and it really transported you to a Thai destination. The decor was so fun to look at during the dining experience as well.
I come here one a year when I'm in the area for a work conference, I always look forward to getting a meal at LeDu Thai. The location is extremely walkable if you are staying at a hotel downtown, I can't speak to parking since I've never driven there. There is table or bar service, and a cute patio. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The cocktails here are excellent. The espresso martini is top notch! They have great happy hour options for food and cocktails. We ordered a beautiful spread of appetizers. The flavors at LeDu Thai are so delicious, perfectly balanced with spice and flavor. We got medium hot which was nice and warm, with Thai hot chili oil on the side. The Larb Pork and Larb Mushroom is exploding with flavor, truly unreal dishes! I love this place and look forward to eating here every year!
This experience at this beautiful restaurant was top tier! If you are ever in the Downtown Phoenix, AZ area you have to go to LeDu Thai. Awesome ambience, excellent service Jo our waiter was the best ever. The food was delicious and their drink selection was excellent. So, everything on the menu is great but these are the items we order that were superb! The drinks I forgot the names but I'll post the picture, appetizer was the NY Strip with sauce, main course was pork pad Thai, shrimp pad Thai, and the crab fried rice! Awesome you have to go and tell them that I highly recommended this restaurant! Enjoy Bon appetite
We arrived and were seated (we had a 5:30 reservation on a Saturday). We received water then no one ever came to take our order. Our server walked past several times, apologized twice and said he'd be right with us. He still never made it back to our table. Another server was walking around and any time I tried to get her attention, she'd look away. We wound up leaving without having any food after waiting approximately 25 minutes. It sucks because I really loved the food here and wanted my mom to try it so I brought her for her birthday. We had to walk around downtown until we found something else.
My gal pal and I were craving delicious Thai food and visited LeDu Thai on a Sunday evening after she got off work. Parking downtown in general sucks, but there are curbside options available nearby. Upon entering, I was impressed by the decadent interior with low-lighting, cultural elements, and stunning green walls. The restaurant was surprisingly not busy despite being a weekend night, maybe because it was close to closing time. We were seated immediately. I opted for my usual Thai restaurant order of the pad thai, with beef, mild, no beansprouts. My gal pal opted for the crab -fried rice, opposed to her usual order of some curry. The crab-fried rice came out first, and while it was a large portion size perfect for sharing and generous with the crab, I felt like it was tastey but lacking in extra dimension. I also noticed it didn't come with the usual tomato wedges I've seen at other institutions. Then, I tried my own pad thai. IT WAS THE BEST PAD THAI I'VE HAD IN A WHILE. Usually I find that restaurants are lazy and skimp out on the tangy-tamarind flavor and instead just let it be sweet, but the taste was perfectly balanced to me. The noodles were adequately sauced and flavorful. There was generous amounts of beef. There was even tofu on the side. Phenomenal and absolutely hit the spot. Then we tried the cha-thai gelato. It was also so good in both thai tea flavor and gelato texture and lastly portion size vs cost. Overall amazing but reasonably-priced upscale Thai restaurant that I would definitely return to, especially for intimate date-night vibes.
The ambiance was really nice and appropriate. The service was great. The food was good. The cost was regular but the portions were pretty small. And I don't eat a lot of food. So, the food was good, but the value was extremely low. read more

Stumbled upon this restaurant while walking around the area, and I'm so glad we did. The atmosphere is super cute: warm lighting, great decor, and a cozy vibe that would be perfect for a date night. The food was delicious and full of flavor (just be mindful of how spicy you order things!). Service was excellent! Super friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcome. Highly recommend if you're looking for amazing Thai food in a moodier, more intimate setting. read more

FANTASTIC Thai food, very authentic, full of flavor, delicious aromas & unbelievable spicy if you like it HOT!!! You can order the spice to your liking. EVERYTHING was delicious including my sticky rice dessert. The service was FIRST CLASS, very friendly & great recommendations. Not only does LeDu have FANTASTIC food but the ambiance is SPECTACULAR!!! The decor is a conversation piece full of lots of fun art that you'll enjoy photographing.They also offer private room seating incase you'd like to have your own private time for dinner. There is indoor/outdoor seating as well. The restrooms & restaurant are very clean.Parking may be a bit challenging but it's totally worth it. If you're staying close by & able to uber, I would. LaDu is located in a very artsy neighborhood & that location is surrounded by lots of other restaurants within walking distance of each other. Definitely a busy part of town especially at night.Lots of night life going on. LeDu is definitely on my list to try again soon! :) read more
Ledu Thai is a gorgeous space, with walls painted a bright kelly green & plenty of striking art on the walls. Our party of three were seated at a table in the middle of the restaurant, on those bentwood cane chairs - I think called bistro chairs? Anyway they were very uncomfortable & super rickety. It doesn't make sense to have uncomfortable seating in a restaurant & we'd choose a booth next time. Once seated, we perched there for a good 7-8 minutes w/ no one acknowledging our table or offering to even take a drink order. Service needs to be better. I love Thai food and not sure what region the Thai food I like is from. This spot serves Southern Thai so it's a different offering of dishes than I'm used to. I have nothing to compare it to. We shared a tofu appetizer w/ cubes of grilled tofu & a tasty peanut sesame sauce. Tofu was soft...I prefer firm which makes texture chewier when fried. My dining companions shared the Pad Thai dish which they liked. No veggies in there though. I chose Salmon Curry - this dish was "interesting." A healthy piece of salmon was served in a bowl w/ curry sauce & that was it. No veggies but a side of white rice. It tasted good but was very plain. We didn't opt for dessert and they didn't serve coffee. Not sure I'd return. read more
The food at LeDu Thai is incredible. The perfectly prepared and spiced Pad Thai is perhaps the best I have ever enjoyed. Big pieces of savory chicken together with curry paste make the dish delectable. The dining room is chic and trendy, although the pulsing trance music is distracting. The Bangkok Cosmo cocktail is really delicious, too. Service could be more attentive. read more
What a great find in Downtown Phoenix!!! High quality and affordable Thai food. The interior is quite pretty and great for special occasions or date night. My favorite of the night was the Pad Z U! Perfect texture on the noodles and flavored just right. A great balance of sweet and savory. The portion was also great! Lots of beef, eggs, and veggies. Another recommendation I have is the Hat Yai Fried Chicken! Juicy and crispyyyy! Well flavored and not too salty. The table loved it! Pad Thai is incredbly saucy, which is how I personally prefer it. Had a delightful lunch with a friend here at Ledu. The interior and exterior are both adorable and make for a relaxing place to dine. I made a reservation for our lunch on a weekday and we got seated right away. Since they make their curry pastes all in-house I knew I had to get a curry. One of our servers recommended the gaeng panang nuer, which is a panang curry with braised beef, basil, and red chile. I was able to add some vegetables to the curry which is something I'd definitely add again because the whole combination was absolutely delicious. You can taste the quality of the paste and the complexity of the flavors by making the curry paste in-house. All the curry pastes are made at a medium spice level so while you can add additional spiciness you can't make it more mild than medium level. This level was OK for my palate. It was just enough spice to highlight the flavors in the dish without being so hot that all you can think about it drinking a gallon of water (Or some of their cool and sweet Thai iced tea). The vegetables added to the curry included onions, mushrooms, and gai lan/Chinese broccoli. Service was very friendly and we were checked up on as needed. I'll definitely be back to try more! I loved the decor inside but we chose to sit outside since we finally are having cooler weather. Overall service was good except our server was a little slow to check if we needed anything. Friendly staff! The food was delicious! Very flavorful. I love soy sauce and usually douse my food, but I didn't even do that! Definitely will be back. read more
Amazing ambience with a crazy rich Asian movie feel to the decor! A bit of a dimmer atmosphere inside due to low light but it gives it a nice feel still! Service is great with everyone being attentive and kind with recommendations if needed. Food is so good I have been here more than once and each time Is better than the last. The flavors are crisp and refreshing and so full of flavor, it's amazing. You get all levels spice, crispness, sour, sweet and more to the dishes and drinks and the presentation is top tier! The plates, while seeming small, are just the right amount of food for myself and those I have gone with as well. Definitely a place to recommend for a cute lunch or dinner with family and friends or a date! read more
What a splendid evening. Service from Annie and the crew was spot on. Questions were answered with confidence and grace. Food was prepared by skilled hands. Drinks were sublime. The prices are very reasonable, taste is unbelievable. One of the most beautifully decorated restaurants in Phoenix. Rich and lush without feeling stuffy or over done. I highly recommend this place. The food, the service, and the ambiance are all so awesome here. I ordered the pad Thai with chicken, medium spice. My husband ordered the pad zu with beef. We also ordered a papaya salad and it was all delicious. They even have private tables behind curtains for parties of 2 or 4. The bar is super stylish. They have interesting cocktails with Thai flavors. It's a hidden gem and I will definitely be returning again. read more

Been wanting to try this place out since they opened and finally went on Saturday after a friend's boozy birthday brunch nearby. We arrived around 4:45pm. Half of the back area was reserved but luckily they were still able to seat us all. We had a pretty large group and kind of took over multiple tables in the front area of the restaurant. Think there were about 18 of us. The interior is really nice. Decent sized place with plenty of space. Staff were friendly, nice and accommodated to our large group. Food actually came out pretty quick! Not everyone ate though. I was starving so I definitely ate! My order: Tom Yum Soup $13 Papaya Salad Thai Style $13 Pad See Ew $17 Coconut Sunset cocktail $16 Got medium spice on all dishes but I prefer hot. The tom yum soup came in a mini pot and was enough for 2 people. Everything was so flavorful! The pad see ew had that nice smokey flavor. A friend at another table ended up giving me her Lao style papaya salad because she started having a slight allergic reaction to it. I really liked that dish too! Didn't try the beef salad. That was someone else's dish. Loved all items here! A few things that need improvement: 1. The small portions. For the price, I expect the portions to be bigger. 2. Waitress took half of our table's order then walked away. Had to get her attention to come back and get our order in too. 3. My papaya salad dish was given to the other half of the table. I noticed I hadn't received it for a while and checked on it. They said they brought it out and said it was on the other side. But the other half didn't order one. Orders need to be checked to make sure they're going to the right people rather than setting things down on the table in random spots. Their beef salad was set down on our half but I passed it down to their side. I noticed some of the staff checked and some didn't. They ended up making me another papaya salad since I never got it. FYI, it's an automatic 20% gratuity for large groups, which is a little higher than most places (usually 18%). read more
Beautiful and artistic decor! I highly recommend reservations, but they still gave us a table. Appetizer: Garlic Fried Chicken wings!!! It is a flavor blast with full crunchy goodness. It was the best thing we ate! Pad Thai: do the pork belly add on! It was sweet and delish! Panang Curry! It was good but too spicy for us even when we asked for the lowest spice level. Dessert: Mango sticky rice. Even off season, it was yum. The hot sticky rice drizzled with coconut cream and the sweet and tart mango beautifully cut was a great end! read more
Started the night with a Waymo and once we stopped in, it was a cute little restaurant with whimsical decor. We ordered crab fried rice and curry with rice and it hit the spot. Service was attentive and the taste were spot on. It tasted very fresh and authentic. We enjoyed our meal! read more

Appreciate the north and south Thai cuisine that are distinct from each other. The braised beef Gaeng Panang Nuer was totally different (and a must try) from what I have associated Panang with. The gaeng crabmeat turmeric was almost like a soup/ pho with vermicelli, sprouts etc served on the side to be added at your liking and the gai-lan with crispy pork belly was my favorite . The Neur Nam Tok was my least favorite as I found the beef is a bit hard to chew. The space is beautifully decorated- elegant and casual in its own way with outdoor seating too. Pretty good cocktail/ drink menu and happy hour menu. Service was ok. read more
Excellent. Those were the words from a departing patron as we arrived. He was correct. We ordered the pad Thai mild for my wife and the Penang Nuer at medium heat for me. Drinks were a coconut sunset and I had the land of smiles. Drinks and dinner were outstanding. Food and drinks were served quickly. The ambience is comfortable. No loud music. You can enjoy a conversation. I was impressed and we will be back. read more

My kids and I ate here during ASU family weekend in Phoenix. We ordered Pad Thai, a red curry dish, and crab fried rice. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Family friendly. It seems like a great place to take a date since the ambiance was giving a Thai romantic mood with a classy Anthropologie esthetic. The food was tasty. The portions were average. The curry was a bit too spicy for us. If you like spicy, it'll hit the spot. Food prices are a bit on the high end. Reminded us of Glai Baan. Prices were similar, but my family and I prefer Glai Baan & their portions are larger. I would recommend this place only if you are in the area. read more

What a hidden gem!!! Ledu had been on my list and finally came for dinner with a friend and it was a hit! Definitely one to add to the rotating list. Staff was super sweet, interior was stunning, for was amazing and loved the outdoor seating! Everything we ordered was delicious and would order again. Our waitress warned us about the spice level and she was right so definitely don't underestimate it, especially if you aren't really a spice person. The photos show the lard mushroom, crab fried rice, Tofu pad Thai and mango sticky rice with sorbet. Highly recommend making a reservation or arriving early because it got busy. We arrived at 5 and by 6 the restaurant was packed. Oh can't forget their happy hour menu had 9 dollar select cocktails! read more

After spending some shopping I needed something great to end the day. I sat at the bar and was greeted promptly. The service is top notch. I love the decor and total vibe of the place. It's a mix of eclectic Asian decor, up tempo crooning music with a modern twist on everything. I ordered the crab fried rice which is one of my favorite Thai dishes. There was really good flavor in the dish. It was slightly too salty but not enough to ruin the dish by any means. I think there should be more crab meat in the dish, and if that raising the price by three bucks I think people would not mind. Overall a great place and when I am visit the area again I will definitely return. Keep up the great work. read more
This was the best Thai food I've had in Arizona. Would definitely like to come back again and try some other entrees. The cocktails were good but honestly nothing to write home about. For dinner, we ordered three entrees to share (two would've been enough but we were eager to try everything). The pad kee mao was fantastic. The noodles were cooked perfectly and had so much flavor! You could smell all the garlic and other spices when it came out. The pad kee mao also had a good texture - the noodles weren't dry but weren't overly saucy! We also loved the Panang curry, which was rich! The braised beef was super tender (we only wish we had more of it). We also ordered the kao soi; in isolation this was a very good dish but we just liked the other two better. There were a good amount of noodles but the sauce was a little more mild in flavor. We ordered medium for all dishes, which was the perfect spice level to get a kick in the mouth but still taste everything. The restaurant decor and ambiance was fun, and the service was good. They were pretty quick with the food and friendly! read more
Food was fantastic. I had one of the soup dishes (their version of Tom Yum), the fried chicken appetizer and Thai Fried Rice. All good good..! I put this place right behind Lom Wong and Glai Baan for great Thai restaurants in the Valley. Cocktails were balanced. Service was a little slow...but I believe this was due to opening week and still figuring things out. The vibe was energetic but cool. Location is right in the Roosevelt Row part of Downtown which is good (convenience) and bad (parking) but I think it works. Definitely will be back again soon to try more dishes..! read more

We enjoyed the yummy food at Ledu Thai. Came here for a friends dinner this past Saturday. Cocktails were strong and tasty which we enjoyed. I ordered the pad Thai and husband got the pad z u. Both are the bomb and has amazing flavor. The place is so cutely decorated. I'm obsessed with the fun green interior and frames, paintings and figures. Our server was this lady and she was nice but what our table didn't appreciate was she failed to tell us that the bill came with 20% gratuity so she basically got almost 50% of gratuity. Rubbed us the wrong way. I don't mind paying for great service but is a bit much and most places we've dined at, servers tend to be forthcoming about this kind of matter. read more

Today I visited LeDu, a newly opened Thai restaurant, while in the neighborhood. As someone with extensive experience in Thai cuisine, I was impressed by the authenticity of the menu. The Pad Kee Mao was exceptional, perfectly cooked with delicious noodles and a balanced heat level. I added Gai Lan for an extra $3, which was a great choice. The portion size was generous. The interior and patio were clean, contemporary, and well-maintained. The server was friendly and efficient. However, I won't return due to a personal policy against paying credit card add-on charges. While the surcharge was only 2.5%, it felt excessive and unnecessary. Many people I know share my dislike of being nickel-and-dimed as customers. I understand this is subjective, but I believe it's a common issue. Most people don't carry cash, so the owner may as well put a sign on the front door, "Unless you have plenty of cash on your person, add 2.5% to the prices you see on our menu." I suggest a business owner raise menu prices instead of irritating customers with petty surcharges. Everything about this friendly and upscale Thai restaurant is superb. Thai food is as good as any in the Valley. You won't be disappointed if you don't have the same "policy" I do. It's really good and authentic. read more
Great addition to downtown as it's part of Roosevelt Row. The interior of this place is immaculate, love the atmosphere as it's really pretty. Hi April...I did not see any signs that said it wasn't but a quick phone call will answer that question for you. I will say it would be a nice patio to have your fur baby with you :)
