I waited on this review because I wanted to see how long my nails lasted since it's the problem I always seem to have when going to a new nail shop. I am a hairstylist and am constantly wetting my hands. Usually I get shellac/gel manicures because they last longer but at other shops usually within a week they start chipping or lifting and when I wash my clients hair they get stuck and I end up peeling them off myself. I went to le petit on dec 21st last minute for Christmas nails. It's been 3 weeks and my nails have barely started chipping. As you can see on my photo some of them are still good only thing is they have grown out now! I am extremely happy with the results.going in the salon the first time I loved the setting! Super cute and relaxing. They offer water or tea. They don't have the usual feet spas. They have this amazingly comfortable recliners and they ladies bring in a metal bowl with the water for you to put your feet in. I personally loved that! It was different and felt super fancy lol. Mary did an amazing job on my feet and the manager Tipi was the one who did my manicure! All the ladies seem lovely my friend also got her nails done and had a great experience as well! I've been coming here for 2 years and am always pleased with the services. My gel manis last 2-3 weeks! Friendly staff and nice environment.

Super nice!! Came in on a Wednesday afternoon on a long break from work. There was no wait (awesome) there was lovely, soothing music playing, and I was offered hot tea or water. Instead of your typical manicure stations, this place has big comfy arm chairs with plush pillows where they do your nails. Mary did my gel/shellac manicure and was very thorough and professional. They even gave me a super cute Halloween design for free! The hand/arm massage at the end of the mani was great and I really liked the little pebbles in the bottom of the bowl when soaking your fingers. Will definitely come back! read more

Le Petit is a really amazing nail salon. The nail technician did a beautiful job and really took her time on my mani/pedi. She did a super thorough job and all the staff was exceptionally friendly. I could tell that the salon was meticulously cleaned and that all the right covid protocols were being taken (they probably went above and beyond honestly). I got the BEST mani-pedi here, with nontoxic nail polish. (Note: they do offer regular old toxic stuff too - I'd take a half-star off for that.) I had a gel mani/pedi for my wedding and I couldn't be happier with the result. I had nails done numerous times but now but my nails not only shined on my big day with compliments and now three weeks later it is still just as perfect and beautiful! No chips, no peeling. I've only had excellent experiences at this nail salon. The people who work there are excellent at what they do. They never rush and I've been there when they are rocking busy. They would rather ask someone to wait than rush; which is very appreciated. The products are nice , especially their seasonal salt scrub. Went here for the first time recently and was very impressed. I'm 9 months pregnant and have avoided nail salons because of the toxins since getting pregnant but was sooo thrilled to discover this really sweet salon that does not do acrylics and therefore has no toxic smell! They also have a great selection of "natural" polishes. I got the hot stone massage mani/pedi and it was wonderful. The polish job done by the owner Tibi was really careful and absolutely perfect, which is the main way I judge the quality of a nail salon. I don't normally like leaving less than five-star reviews because I don't want to hurt a business. But perhaps they will check this feedback and adjust so they can thrive! Pros: Super kind technicians. Everyone was sweet and friendly. -Clean environment -Cozy chairs -Cute decor -Easy Parking And now for the review: My technician kept stopping my treatment (which I'd booked in advance) to get up and take walk-ins and check the book. I know this might be necessary but it made my service take longer than necessary (metered parking running out), and also wasn't very relaxing. She then ended up stopping altogether mid-polish to handle some earlier mis-scheduling and after 15 minutes someone else finished my service. The polish itself wasn't great - it was left on the skin of my toes. Id also paid extra for one of the special scrubs and masks - and they don't put it on your entire hands and feet! They only rub it about half-way - I asked why she avoided the fingers and toes - if it was for the nails and was told it was just too time-consuming. I've heard of leaving cream off the nails pre-polish but not on fingers and toes. There is skin there too and no one wants wrinkly fingers and toes. Why only treat half the hand or foot? The scrub was also used for mere seconds - so I would advise NOT paying for any upgrades. Overall - OK mani/pedi. But not sure I'll go back. read more

Welp. The nails look good, but she kept trying to massage me with rubber gloves and no lotion, so I'm have friction burn. My hands are also now dry as a bone. Overall I look good but feel like crap. Also no dryers? Just waiting to air dry I guess Update: manager gave me a discount and helped me put on some lotion. She was also honestly surprised about the situation and said she'd correct it. Just to update you on the situation and to explain why I requested a full refund, my finger was infected to the point where it required medical attention. I had to go to urgent care ($20 copay) and have it numbed with lidocaine and then lacerated to drain the infection (still waiting to hear how much of this insurance will cover). I then had to go to the pharmacy to get oral antibiotics ($8) plus neosporin and bandaids ($10). My refund isn't really a refund at all because it's been used to pay for a medical procedure and supplies. Additionally, I tried to handle my conversation with you in a discrete manner, but you raised your voice at me and said you were being the nice one by "offering to refund me in the first place." Any business that valued its customers would have recognized this as a horrible situation and would have wanted to do what they could to remedy the situation, not fight me on this. And for the record, the doctor said the infection was caused because your technician hacked my cuticles and cut my skin (a problem other reviewers have had). Perhaps use the tip I paid that you withheld from my refund and train your employees better. read more

I was just in this afternoon and Tipi gave me a pedicure. She did a wonderful job! My feet looked great--she's meticulous--and felt great too. They make a sugar scrub of their own and use lemon in the exfoliating process--it's gentle and it smells very good. The atmosphere also makes it worthwhile--high ceiling, open, door onto Solano. Problem was the woman at Le Petit Nail Spa who did my children's nails last week was impatient, rude and dismissive to my girls (10 & 12). Just a bad attitude. Plus, although one of them specifically asked not to have her nails cut short, the technician cut them down anyways. Even shy young girls deserve to be listened to, and their choices respected. Not to mention the polish started peeling off the next day. We will never go there again. read more

I wish they were closer since I live in the city and sadly I haven't found anything near me in SOMA that has done as good of a job. I've been here twice, both times were great experiences! The place is clean with a relaxing ambiance and comfortable chairs. With each pedicure and manicure, they do a mini scrub that's fantastic. Highly recommend this nail spa, the ladies were nice,accommodating, and did a great mani and pedi. The salon was cute and very quiet, none of the annoying chatter you usually get at nail salon. This place definitely has a spa feel, I got a lavender and mask treatment on my legs and hands and gel manicure. Today I noticed their sign outside had blown over from the strong wind. I decided it was a *sign* that I needed a mani. I walked in and mentioned that I still had 20 mins left for parking. The nice young woman at the desk, Tipi, said not to worry and that she would run to my car for me and pay the parking fee when the time came. I felt completely able to relax, and even rested my eyes while lounging in the comfy recliner. The mani was so inexpensive and well done! I went to this salon for the first time and to sum it up, I was very pleased with my experience. I booked my appointment only a day in advance and they could fit me in, upon arriving I noticed the surplus of parking and the convenience of Starbucks right across the street. They offered me some tea or water and got me seated right away and even helped me narrow down my color choices! The atmosphere was very relaxing and all in all a clean environment. The service itself was very good, Van did my hands and l can't remember the name of the lady who did my pedicure but both ladies were friendly, very detail oriented and took their time with my services. The worst experience I ever had I don't recommend this place :( it's so cold in this place one of the lady cut my toe so short i will not recommend to any of my friends. Dear Business Owners you had argue with me during all my session instead of making this session a little bit enjoyable since I had paid for it. For other people they argue better then doing their job. I had fix an appointment and they had agreed to booked me for appointment so if you stayed just 5 min late now it's a client mistake ...nonsense!!!! They were about to kick me out with the slippers outside when it was so cold to be there in the boots just because they are closed. The place is not equipped so people have to sit and wait 30 min just to dry their nails. I used to live in the city and moved to Berkeley recently so what I can say I'm just disappointed:( read more

Quiet, comfortable setting and great service. I mistakenly got my appt. time wrong and was 5 minutes late. While they seemed slightly annoyed (I can't blame them...I was late),they took me promptly. The recliners are very comfortable and the environment is relaxing. Nhu (?) gave me my pedicure which was very nice, she was polite and sweet. She did a GREAT job. I was searching for a nail salon where I would they would know my name and that I could call or drop in at the last minute. Tipi is the owner and she really strives to provide great customer service. She has high standards and I really like all of her manicurists. She has even stayed late to squeeze me in. I highly recommend this salon. It is a pretty space with nice decor and good natural light. Tipi plays soft tranquil music that is very relaxing. I am writing this review from the plush leather chair at Le Petit Salon where I stopped by at 5:45 on a Tuesday after work and Tipi fit me in for a mani pedi. I really love this nail salon. My first time here was to have my acrylic nails removed. The removal process was done so carefully that I got a gel manicure afterward because my nails were not destroyed. They really took care of me. Overall the gel manicures are great!
