This review is long overdue! I started seeing Brittany for facials almost a year ago, and have seen consistent results in the texture and condition of my skin. Over the past year I saw her regularly for hydrofacials and dermaplaning. I recently just did my first biorepeel and was astounded at the results. Even my male coworkers were asking me what I had done to my skin because it had such great results. Just wanted to update my review because Skin by Brittany is AMAZING! Had myself a much needed massage with @skinbybrittany__ today.  The past few weeks have been extremely stressful, and my body was begging me for a reset!  A little back story... This updated review is looonnnggg over due!! I've been seeing Brittany for massages and facials since 2014. To see her growth in her career has been such an amazing thing to witness. I admire how Brittany is always learning new skills and keeping up with the latest technology out there. Her new location in Albany is a hidden little gem, very zen and relaxing. Brittany has always been consistently kind, considerate, and welcoming. Her expertise in body mechanics and anatomy, as well as her sharp intuition, always has me leaving a session feeling healed from all the aches and pains. Her facials are soooooooo relaxing. I've been hooked on one of her newest service, hydrofacials. It's been leaving my skin looking extra dewy with that touch of glow! She uses Dermalogica products, which my skin looovvveeesss!!! And even sells products for Skin Script and Face Reality. Her new location is bright and airy, filled with lots of beautiful plants. She is up to Covid protocols and has an air purifier that covers the whole space. She also checks my temperature each visit and keeps her mask on at all times. Parking is such a breeze on Solano Ave. But if going in for longer services (1.5hr - 2hr) I'd advise parking in residential on Carmel or Ramona Ave. The parking enforcement is on it in that neighborhood!! She's been super busy lately so her booking system on her website comes in very handy. She always keeps it updated with her services and prices. Very informative! Went to Brittany for a Signature Facial a month or so ago and had an absolutely wonderful experience! It was easy to find her studio and parking was fairly easy. Very light and airy inside. She still wears a mask and does temperature checks, which is nice. She had water bottles and fruit and chocolate on this visit, which I thought was a nice touch! Brittany went over my skin history and was very clear and informative as to what was being done during each step of the facial. She even checked in with me a week or two later to see how my skin was doing. Will definitely be going back! read more

I have had two absolutely wonderful experiences with Brittany this month. I decided to indulge myself with personal services during my vacation--and boy, was I indulged! The first service was an hour long massage, and I was impressed by Brittany's ability to seek out those annoying, pesky knots, and massage them into softness, while giving me both a firm and soothing whole body treatment. I left feeling extremely relaxed. The only thing I regretted is that I hadn't booked a 90 minute session. I wanted more! Then, the following week, I decided to indulge in the Celebrity Hydrofacial. I added foot reflexology to that, and I am so glad I did. The facial revitalized my skin--the following day a friend asked if I were in love, and told me she wondered because my skin was glowing. Really! And then the foot reflexology relaxed me to the point that I fell into a brief slumber--twice. I knew I had fallen asleep because I awakened myself with the most unladylike snort!! I was was so relaxed I was almost in an altered state. I have very sensitive skin and past facials with other estheticians--even in medical settings--have sometimes left me red or blemished, but Brittany's choice of product, her skills and knowledge are so good this facial caused no issues, leaving my skin exceptionally dewy and clear. Brittany has a wonderful touch, uses top quality products, is a talented and knowledgable practitioner, and, to top it off, she is a lovely woman. She is also just a delight to be around! I had some stubborn milia that weren't going anywhere, and it's been impossible to get an appointment with a dermatologist. A friend recommended I try an esthetician instead, and I was lucky to find Brittany by word of mouth. She explained to me how milia form, how they can be removed, and she set expectations that depending on how my skin responded, she may or may not be able to remove them. I am hooked! Went to Brittany for my very first ever facial..... on my back! I'm not gonna lie but the cold winter and me having to wear so many layers every day did some damage to my back in terms of break outs and scarring. (This is kind of embarrassing to say, haha). Brittany really did a great job in making me feel comfortable for my very first treatment of any sort. She even pointed out that there were tension spots on my back and massaged it out for me! You can really tell that she cares about her clients and wants them to just feel their best! I am definitely going to try her out facials and her others services and I am excited to continue going to her to see the progress her services make on my skin! It felt like such a safe and clean space. Also, I learned a lot from her.... just mention your concern and she is super knowledgeable and can offer all sorts of advice! For example, I tend to lean toward clean skincare products and natural methods. She would recommend, for example, taking zinc vitamins or getting zinc from such and such sources, saying it's good for the skin, inflammation, and etc. There's plenty of parking on the neighborhood side street and the location is easy to find. I just received my first service from Skin By Brittany and it definitely will not be my last. She offers a wide variety of services but today I chose to get a massage. It's been a struggle trying to find a masseuse who not only is affordable but who also LISTENS and caters to their client. Upon arrival, Brittany asked me where my problem areas were and where I would like her to focus on, which is pretty common with every massage I've had. Only difference is, she actually focused on my problematic areas. When she noticed one area needed more attention, she applied the right amount of pressure. Once we got started, I didn't even have to tell her where my pain was, she knew exactly where to go. I could tell she wasn't following a regular routine, she did what worked for me. I feel like a brand new person now that she's relieved all the tension I've been holding in my shoulders. I also appreciated the fact that she asked me if I had any allergies to any of the oils she was going to use. I've never had a masseuse who was considerate enough to ask first. When I told her I've never been asked that question before, she simply told me she likes to ask her clients and explained she has different alternatives for all skin types. After my massage she also gave me tips on my skin care routine. Her knowledge and professionalism was very impressive. Not only did she provide an excellent service, her studio was very peaceful. From the beautiful aromas when you first walk in, to the beautiful and earthy decor, to the calming music she played in the background. Her office was very clean and covid friendly. She had my temperature taken and reassured me everything was sanitized. The extra measures she took in maintaining a safe place during this crazy covid era just validated that I put my trust in the right person. This place is an absolute gem. I went to see Brittany for my first ever facial last week. I wasn't sure what to expect, but my skin is smoother, toned, more even, softer, and glowing. I haven't felt like I needed makeup at all in the days since my appointment. I did the hour-long facial which consisted of a surprising amount of work: deep cleansing, gentle exfoliation, extractions, masquing, moisturizing, aromatherapy, massage, and some time under a lamp (that has various settings depending on your concerns). Her space is cute, clean, and serene. I really appreciate how knowledgeable Brittany is about skin, the chemical makeup of all types of products (even the drug-store kinds I use, not just the top quality stuff she uses), and how to use the right ingredients to address your skin's changing needs. Brittany was our makeup artist for my wedding, and did makeup for me, my mom and my bridesmaids. She did an AMAZING job. First of all -- she did a trial at our house and was very flexible in understanding what look I was going for. On the day itself, she did a phenomenal job. Everyone was wowed by how wonderfully natural and beautiful the makeup was, which was what we were hoping for. All my bridesmaids have different skin types and colours and everyone loved it. She is clearly extremely knowledgeable in makeup and matching tones to skin. One of my friends who had declined makeup services said she had done so because usually wedding makeup is so thick and can look fake, but regretted not getting it done with Brittany because it looked so good. Today I finally had my first facial and I don't think it could have been any better! Brittany was very welcoming and clearly knowledgable. She explained everything she was doing, why, and why it was good for me in particular. It was very calming and my skin feels better already. Brittany also gives you tips on what you can do on your own to better your skin and mentions products she is using on you without trying to "push" them on you at all. I did inquire on my own on one of the products, a fabulous moisturizer. I will definitely being going back to Brittany. There is a small parking lot which fills fast, but I was able to get a meter spot right outside without a problem. By the time I left, around 1, parking looked a little trickier. read more
