I've been going to Eriko since March 2021. She is an expert at lash extensions (I've only seen her for lashes). Honestly, I feel so lucky to have found her after so many disappointing sessions with other technicians. I don't like the fake lashes look. I want them to look naturally long. If that is what you want, you will get the perfect lashes with Eriko. She listens to what you want, then can tailor it to your vision/needs as you come in for your refills. I had a festival to attend, and wanted something extra, so I had a refill done that way. I sometimes want to look extra so I'll have a 1 hr and 15 min appointment instead of an 1 hr. Sometimes I'll want to give my lashes a break and just do 1 hr every 4 weeks, depending on how well my lashes hold up. They always look amazing when I leave her cute and comfy studio. I included some progress photos because I was so impressed by how well they had been holding up. I have been using a lash serum (not latisse or bomatiprost) and it has made a difference in how many of my natural lashes hold up over time. Eriko's work speaks for itself. The lash extensions hold up well as long as your natural lashes do! Top photo: Literally just came home with these after a 1 hr session. This was one of the most relaxing experiences! I don't usually get eyelash extensions but I've gotten them a couple of times in the past for special events. The session felt unexpectedly calm. Eriko was very responsive from the beginning. I reached out to her pretty last second, four days before a graduation I was attending. She was able to find a spot for me the next day after I texted her and informed me of pricing. I got the classic mini set which is $145. I had a bit of trouble finding the place because the map was not very accurate, but I called Eriko and she kindly and clearly explained how to find the building. During the session itself, Eriko was very sweet and gentle. I showed her photos of what I wanted my eyelashes to look like and they came out perfectly. In the past, even though I've asked for natural lashes, they added quite a lot of volume, but Eriko made them look like a I only had mascara on! I was very relaxed to the point of almost falling asleep a couple times. The eyelashes also stayed in good shape for a good two months which is way longer than what they've lasted at other places in the past. I was looking for someone to do my lash extensions for some on-camera opportunities but really wanted someone who knew how to design them to my eye shape and face. I didn't come in with a picture, so I was hoping Eriko would be able to advise. She didn't disappoint! Although I booked hybrid (more expensive lashes) - she told me I probably only needed a classic set and made them look full and luscious without making my eyes look droopy or too heavy like I've experience in the past. I have gotten eyelash extensions for years in many places all over the country and no one comes close to Eriko. Seriously 10/10. I sometimes get uncomfortable staying still and usually need to listen to something on my headphones while getting eyelash extensions. I have never enjoyed getting them done. It's different in her studio, she is a true professional and creates the most relaxing environment and I fell into a really comfortable state immediately. I literally left feeling like I had just meditated for an hour, everything about her and the ambiance of her studio is amazing and calming. She has the most gentle hands and is clearly a true expert. She did a good job with my lashes but this review is for what I felt in her attitude. She seemed very irritated when she out the patch under my really close to my eye and I asked her to move it over. Then the other thing was the tip, she kept asking me I didn't tip her but then she also said it was optional and seemed irritated over me not tipping her. 5 Star service from beginning till end. The studio is so cottage chic! Eriko is the fountain of youth. If Eriko can look this young and beautiful at her age then she obviously knows a lot about taking care of skin. I completely trust Eriko. She is honest, direct, kind, meticulous, and has a real passion for skincare. I had a light peel today and she took her time with me spending more than an hour on me and my skin looked amazing afterward. It was also very nice that she gave me a complete aftercare kit. At a different spa last year, I had stronger peels and were not provided with an aftercare kit or instructions. The fact that Eriko offers the kit along with her peels just shows how serious she is about taking care of her client's skin. The price points are not cheap (90 dollars per peel) but with Eriko's 5 star service and the aftercare kit, 90 dollars actually feels like a bargain! I have to start this off by saying that I've had lash extensions done now by two other people. One being a friend who does a great job, but getting to her studio is harder since I live in Napa and the other being not so great. She got glue in my eye, my eyes were itchy non-stop and my lashes were glued together. Like I said, not so great. People say the third time's a charm and this must be true! So I found Eriko after months of researching eyelash extensions from San Jose, San Francisco and the East Bay. These were my criteria: affordable very decent yelp reviews prompt appointments I am going to start off by saying, I am a very impulsive person. When I want something done, I want it done now! But I was not willing to compromise on quality. When I contacted Eriko, she was able to sympathize with me. She scheduled me for an appointment 3 days after my initial email with her. But she let me know as soon as she had a cancellation. So I was able to get my lashes done so much sooner! I live in Berkeley, so getting to her studio was a breeze. There is also tons of unrestricted street parking in front of her studio. Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by the lovely Eriko. Her studio is well decorated, smelled nice, but not overbearing, soothing, clean, and trendy. She sat me down to go over my preferences and expectations. This being my first time getting my lashes done, I trusted her expertise. I did tell her I wanted something natural, I curl my eyelashes, and I wear Dior Show mascara. She is professionally trained and her licenses and certificates are hanging on the wall. I was 26 weeks pregnant when I got my eyelashes done by Eriko. Her bed was warm, clean, and as comfortable as it can get laying on my back for 2 hours at 26 weeks pregnant. She was very accommodating with the bed temperature, water breaks, and making sure I was comfortable. We had very good conversation, and she recommended a dim sum restaurant to me, which I will also review today. It was awesome. Eriko also smells nice. Which is important if someone is going to be hovering over you and talking to you for 2 hours. After my lashes were done, they were just beautiful. They were long, they were curled, and they looked natural. I could tell during the application, that Eriko is very meticulous about the process, ensuring that each lash was separated and did not stick together. They were a little longer than I had in mind. But to anyone else, I'm sure this is not an issue. I just trimmed them a bit when I got home. ( I do not recommend doing this on your own. But I come from an aesthetic background so felt comfortable doing so. I'm sure had I called up Eriko, she would had easily done this for me) Over a week later, my eyelashes still look awesome. I do not use mascara I just wake up and wash up and go! Because my eyelashes are longer now, it is more obvious when I naturally lose an eyelash due to the normal growth cycle of lashes. However, this has not made a difference in how my eyelashes look overall. At this rate, and because I do take good care of my lashes, I do not anticipate having to see Eriko for a couple weeks. She has excellent skills with it comes to eyelash extensions. She is very gentle and very patient. She allows you to choose the length and thickness of the lashes and if you feel like uncertain, she gives her professional opinion on the best lashes that compliments your eye shape. My extensions were very natural looking. Of course, the extensions gave my lashes a thicker and longer look. They weren't clumped together and the glue she used was very thin. Anyway, I reached out to Eriko last week asking for an availability and she was able to fit me in after another client canceled. Keep in mind I have never gotten lashes before. She explained very thoroughly what to expect, what my options were, her suggestions, and constantly asked me what my thoughts were. She's very comforting and you can barely feel it when she works on your lashes. I have a hard time falling asleep during the daytime and somehow I manage to fall asleep in a lit room, next to a window, and two bright lights in my face, so that's how comfortable I was. Her space was very clean, and the area has plenty of parking (I went on a Saturday morning which was busy with people but I was able to find parking int he area). since this is my first time getting lash extensions, I am waiting to see how I like them before I go in for a touch up.
