Le Peep is one of my favorite brunch places in the area. It has such a homey vibe. My friend and I came to catch up here and had the Florentine frittata and the peaches and cream pancakes to share. The frittata was so good with sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, and artichoke pieces. I would definitely order this again. The peaches and cream pancakes were also delicious. The cream melted pretty fast but understandable considering the pancakes were hot and came straight from the kitchen. The iced coffee was good. The service was outstanding. I didn't get to finish my iced coffee but our waitress offered to go cups. I also made a mistake ordering but she was able to correct it and help me out instantly. I can't wait to come back in the future! read more

I ordered leprechaun skillet for brunch and i asked for dry corned beef hash. I got tons of potatoes and scant amount of corned beef. The potatoes were wet( maybe preboiled). I asked for sourdough toasted bread and got white bread hardly toasted instead. Orange juice-was not fresh squeezed and very tart. read more

Food was delicious. Waitress wasn't the best. Seemed super rushed and annoyed to be at work. Also, waited almost 3 hours to eat which was NOT worth it. The foods definitely good, but it is not 3 hour wait good. I'm assuming when they have outdoor seating they move tables faster but the wait definitely must be because of the size of the location. Definitely wouldn't come back unless we could guarantee less of a wait, if any. Plenty of brunch spots that keep up. read more

Unfortunately my experience was disappointing. My wife got eggs and a side of grits. The grits were lumpy. I ordered the eggs Benedict skillet. When it came to the the table the sauce was "broken". I called the waitress over and told her this and she looked at me as if I had 2 heads. They remade it for me. Same thing. Broken hollandaise sauce. Not the velvety luscious creamy sauce that a hollandaise should be. Not sure why a kitchen expediter or owner or cooks have this on the menu if they don't know how to make a hollandaise. It was a separated oily disaster. read more

Came here on Sunday with a few my friends. It took about 1/2 hour to get a table. Once we got our table, it took about 20/30 minutes before a server even got to us. I ordered the 18 wheeler- it was typical breakfast food. However, every step of getting our food took forever. Even just getting our water refilled took long. It is no Comfi, but it works well for being a reliable brunch spot off of Route 1. The portions are big; you get more than enough food. In addition, the service is friendly and quick, you will not wait more than 30 minutes for your food to come out. There is something for everybody... you cannot go wrong with the French toast, but when I did some table surfing, it seemed everybody was eating everything, which is reassuring. It does get busy, so either make a reservation or get there early. read more

Visited Le Peep in Edison, NJ yesterday. They were spot on On the waiting time(it was about an hour ). I was a very excited about the food, everything looked sooo good. I had eggs with bacon and waffle fries. I was not impressed, my fries were soooooo hard and cold and my bacon was so over cooked it almost tasted burned. I am giving a 3 star because my mocha coffee was soo good and my daughter LOVED her Tres Leches French Toast. Now I know NOT to order waffle fries nor bacon here. The place wasn't buzzing with crowd or have too many pastries and bakery items on display filling every isle but this place stood out for a a very naturally tasting cupcake which our kid absolutely loved. I went with the lobster roll and sweet potato fries. Solid, but a 3.5/5 for me. I could tell the lobster had been previously frozen, still enjoyable though. I also tried my son's crab legs, and that Capt. Loui Sauce is dangerously good! Buttery, Cajun-forward, slightly sweet, not overly salted. Service was A+. Our server was friendly, attentive, and even charged my phone while we ate. I didn't catch their name, but they had braided hair. We all had pina coladas served in clear zip-top pouches with straws, like something out of a K-pop karaoke bar. The vibe inside was open and lively, with music that felt straight out of the French Quarter. It had this fun Creole-Korean seafood boil kickback energy that just worked. One detail I really appreciated was the handwashing station in the back after a messy seafood boil. It's complete with soap, lotion, mouthwash, mints, etc. so you can freshen up before heading out. The menu says pork belly but what they actually mean is thinly sliced pork which is not the same. Additionally the menu indicated corn so I was under the impression I would get loose corn not corn on the cob. Otherwise, we probably only waited about 5 minutes for our food and all the wait staff was very attentive. My husband loved his dish though so we have very opposite opinions lol. I will be coming back because my husband still loved it here and I want to give the hot pot a try.

I would rather go to iHop. My girlfriend raved about this place so I decided to take her one morning which we both had off from work. I wanted pancakes so I ordered regular pancakes, and to my girlfriends chagrin, 45 minutes later we received our food. The pancakes were HEAVY, NOT FLUFFY, in all honesty from the taste of them, I wouldnt be surprised if it was left over batter from the day before that was refrigerated. My girlfriend ordered an omelet, now she orders everything plain. She wanted cheese and bacon, thats it. Well not how she got it. It had the works in it, so we politely sent it back. 30 minutes later she receives another omelet, this time, it was just egg and some cheese. So we asked for the manager (still nicely, as both my gf and I are in retail and understand the importance of customer service) The manager comes over about 10 minutes later and seems annoyed that they are being bothered. Oh im sorry to interrupt your nap in the back room. Well after discussing our displeasure and the fact that my girlfriend still had not gotten her food and we have been there for well over an hour and how mine is inedible and we will not be paying for the meal, nor do we want her food. We just want to go, he had the nerve to tell me I must pay for my food as I ate some. I took 2 bites from my pancakes and had enough. I then became "That Guy" and had to make a scene, as much as I didnt want to, not until then were we apologized to and then excused ourselves. I will NEVER go back! I will go to iHop from now on. OH not to mention, the place is expensive as hell, i dont mind paying for good food, but this place stinks read more

Just read the long drawn out obvious fake complaint and suggestive comments below from Justin G. I find the content in this review to be degrading to all women, especially how he refers to one waitress as "well built" and another waitress as "in her 20's and cute" What does ones appearance have to do with a restaurant review?? If I were a waitress there I would definitely sue this disgusting pervert for sexual harassment! He also claims there was hair in the food but takes a fruit cup to go (a lot of sense that makes) Looks like this character is your classic freeloader who wants food at no cost from restaurants all over the globe, not to mention hiding so cowardly behind a keyboard to further degrade women! I checked his girly, winey complaints on his profile as well and I'm appalled that bullies like him are floating around to write whatever they want. Last weekend was my 4th time at Le Peep's and the hosts and servers were just as exceptional as the first time I went there. I had my birthday breakfast with girlfriends and they all thought the menu was perfect and the atmosphere amazing! I highly recommend the Roma Omelet..it's to die for..Yum!!! This is a great place for Sunday brunch. The location is good and there lots of parking. Instantly I felt welcomed as we stepped through the doors. It was comforting warmth from the cold outside. There were quite a few people there already, but not overly crowded. The atmosphere of the place was really nice. Our server was pleasant and kind. The food was really tasty and all the people around seemed to enjoy the place. It also struck me as thoughtful when the boss walked around asking the servers if they were doing OK. Classy! Their prices were modest and they had interesting and healthy meal choices. The food hit the mark on so many levels. La Peep is a place to go and chill and eat some good food. Interesting restaurant in the area, specializing in breakfast and brunch. The decor reminded me of IHOP, but with a more neighborhood-y sort of feel. The guy who seated us seemed a bit grouchy for some reason but our server was super sweet. She was very friendly and made sure to answer all our menu questions well. We got a bunch of different items, some of which were the Lumberjack skillet (tasty and packed with meat), Shrimp and Grits (big disappointment, was really lacking in flavor), Harvest Benedict (quite good), Breakfast Burrito (spicy and flavorful) and Breakfast Pie (strictly okay). I'm a newbie but my friend who grew up in Edison insisted I try. So we stopped in a few weekends ago. I got a skillet since that was the popular thing to get. It was actually surprisingly better than I thought. With a name like Le Peep, you think it was a strip club on St. Catherine's in Montreal. But the food and service exceeded expectations.
