I walked in there 5 months pregnant needing to use the restroom. I made it know to the guy that I was there to indeed get food which is my main reason for even stopping by. He was extremely rude and told me that I could only use the bathroom if I payed for something. As someone who's pregnant this was very disheartening as I couldn't even order what I truly wanted from the menu being rushed to pay for something! Terrible customer service. Le Paris Dakar 2 has the best smoothies around. The natural juices are tasty as well but I'm not big on juices. I crave thick, frosty goodness and the smoothies satisfy my greedy needs. The PB &J with soy milk and protein powder add-in is a major favorite. There are plenty of add ins and fresh drink ingredients on the menu. A variety of crepes are prepared fresh on the spot. I had a salad at Le Paris once before but it didn't leave me much to think about. Be warned that the smoothies here are pricey. Definitely a payday treat. read more

My daughter has been raving about this place for the past year. I finally had the opportunity to grab some lunch. The inside is small but quaint with lovely music playing. I felt very relaxed as I waited on my order. I went with the avocado toast and chai smoothie. Let me tell you something. This was the best avocado toast I've ever had. It was so flavorful that I wanted to let everyone around me have a bite. The smoothie was equally delicious. It was very sweet but my taste buds didn't complain. :) To top it all off, the customer service was outstanding. I only wish I came here sooner. read more

I stopped by here twice while staying with my cousin in Brooklyn. I believe they'd recently reopened after being closed for covid. The first time I ordered an iced chai latte and had a bit of a wait because there were others who'd ordered before me and only one employee. The latte was a little sweet for me but otherwise very good and well priced. On return I got a turkey and cheese croissant. The turkey was chopped when I ordered and mixed with the cheese and placed in one of the plain croissants on display. It was fairly quick but felt longer because I was in a rush to catch my Uber lol. I really love the crepes here and at their nostrand location. I always get the salmon and cream cheese and I really think they do a good job with their iced latte. The sweet crepes are good too. I like this location a little more since it's less known than the other one, there are fewer people and they have outdoor seating! They made it into a cute garden looking spot and they have a cafe cat who comes around to say hi but is by no means aggressive. Prices are the same as the other location. I definitely recommend, especially in the summer if you want to sit outdoors. read more

The vanilla cappuccino I got was very very good, and I will try a crepe soon, so happy they have a gluten free option! Giving 4 stars only because they are still not letting anyone sit down and the whole city has reopened. Don't known if it's understaffed or they are just lazy. Seems a lot of businesses figured out they will still get business without having to have people sit in their space. As it gets colder, I hope they reopen the seating area. I love this place. I frequent the original Le Paris on Nostrand Ave all the time but always had it in mind to visit here. Well, I'm very happy I passed through and would definitely become a regular here, too. LPD2 serves crepes, baguette sandwiches and smoothies. Their smoothies are delicious. I tried the Spicy Punch and it was the most revitalizing drink I had in a long time. The ginger definitely gives you "wake up" kick needed to jump start your day. Staff was also nice and professional. Despite the L-shaped interior design, the space is nicely decorated with pub tables, and chairs along with counter seating (opposite from the cashier). The only con is they close around 7:00pm (like many cafes overall) so Starbucks still wins the category for late night dining with your laptop. Still LPD2 offers an authentic menu and a cozy environment that SB doesn't have. I would choose LPD2 nevertheless. read more

Been here a few times during covid and the food is great! My husband always orders a Nutella strawberry banana crepe and a smoothie. Crepes are so delicious! And I personally LOVE the smoothies! I don't like my smoothies with dairy.. I don't like the phlegmyness it leaves lol but the smoothies here don't give me that feeling at all! I think it was made with fruit juice instead. Terrible service and lukewarm (literally) coffee. Went in for the first time to order a coffee and a pastry and both folks working were confusingly rude, as if my presence alone was offensive. The man actually yelled at me for ordering a coffee that was apparently a smoothie (called coconut coffee???) and acted as if I was illiterate for mistaking it for a coffee I believe his exact words were "CANT YOU SEE THAT SAYS SMOOTHIE?!" The woman at the register then hurriedly rang up my coffee without adding the pastry I had previously ordered to which the man barked (AT ME?!) again "WHAT ELSE?" It was so wild I almost feel like I made it up. I should have just left. On top of that, the coffee wasn't even hot. I went in to Le Paris Dakar today and ordered Avocado toast without tomatoes. When the lady was making the toast she asked again "no tomatoes right" and I replied " no tomatoes, I am allergic to tomatoes" and she said okay. She's also making Avocado toast for someone else who wanted tomatoes and touches my food with the same glove. I said miss I told you I have a tomato allergy and she states that I never said that to her. The lady standing next to me also told her that I said that and she rolled her eyes and walked away. She came back and said she will just make me another one with an attitude. I stated to her that I didn't want it and she began to make it anyway. Again I stated that I didn't want the toast and she rolled her eyes again so I just asked for a refund. I come here almost every day for coffee, I don't know how they make it so consistently well! I only figured out that they charge extra (50 c) for nondairy milk a few days ago so I've switched to black but I honestly don't care, it's still delicious. They definitely have the best coffee in the area and I'm so glad I found them. The juices are well balanced and the baguette sandwiches and pastries are really good but I have yet to try the crepes. I'm not much of a crepe fan but when your in NY and your going hither tither and yon and you have to get there by subway the place right outside your door is the best option. Seems like a family affair ( brother/ sister?). It's small but really every time we went in there we were alone. These are restaurants that I frequent and eat at constantly. if I'm not from that town these are restaurants that when I am in their town I'll go back to over and over again. I started out going to the first location years ago and the coffee was phenomenal. The service is always friendly and the coffee was always good. Then I saw they opened up a second location up the street from my sisters apartment and I popped in today to try it. The crepes were off the chain. It had a calm and stress-free ambiance that was instantly noticeable for me. I loved the exposed brick, which gives it a local and urban feel. I think it's great when the kitchen is at the forefront within the customer's view. Great working space, which even comes equipped with a printer. How thoughtful! I thought the menu written on a mirror was a bit hard to read. It's great whenever business allow their customers to tailor their dining experience. I got the vanilla latte the first day and after trying it I had to go back the next morrning! The next day I added an espresso shot. Theirs were much stronger than starbucks. Absolutely fell in love!!! Customer service was amazing and the interior design takes you to Paris. The menu is on a mirror so upon squinting the man politely instructed me that they had handheld menus and proceeded to give both me and my sister one. If your in the area please try it out! Finally! A crepe place that offers gluten free crepes! They are reasonably priced (the GF are only $1 more), and delicious. I had the salmon, capers, creme cheese and spinach and I added tomatoes. Unfortunately, I think the Crepe Maker forgot to make my crepe GF, and tried to pass it off as GF anyway. I know what a buckwheat crepe should look like. The cashier assured me it was GF even though I could overhear him saying: 'I told you to make that crepe GF'. Not only did I pay for something I didn't receive, I paid again when my throat started to close after the first few bites as my body had an adverse reaction to the gluten in the crepe. You cannot just fake a food item when someone has an allergy to it. What if somebody else had a worse reaction than me? If I had not been on the train back to Manhattan, I would've returned it right away. It really is too bad that my review is based upon the dishonesty I encountered with my service because I think the crepe would've been really good. read more
