Every dish we tried was absolutely outstanding! But if I had to pick just one, you have to try the lump crab cake. The flavors were unlike anything I've ever had before! And the service was exceptional! Our server, Malachi, was incredibly personable and professional, and he always had a smile on his face. JT was our server the previous time we visited, and he was just as passionate, friendly, and professional. This place truly has some of the best food and overall dining experiences in Mobile and the surrounding areas! Honestly, the only downside is that I just discovered this gem a few weeks ago. I wish I had found it sooner! read more

Went to Le Moyne's Chophouse for my birthday and absolutely loved the whole dining experience. Will be going back soon. The restaurant is located on the 1st floor of the Admiral Hotel in Mobile. You will need to go into the hotel to find the restaurant. The hotel entrance is on Government Street. It is easy to miss. There is complimentary valet parking but be sure to get your ticket validated in the restaurant. Reservations are recommended. The dining room is small and intimate, sophisticated but not pretentious. The lighting and ambience would be perfect for a romantic date night or a casual dinner with friends. The seating is primarily booths that are angled to enjoy views of the room. There is a well stocked bar which supplies the drinks on the menu. The cocktails are quite good and there are a few that stand out above the rest. The service was by far the best we've ever received. Our server, Rose G, was engaging and knowledgeable. Offered suggestions and options without being pushy. She gratuitously answered all our questions and even joined in on our silliness. The thing about Le'Moynes is that the servers will know whether you want to be engaging or they can be as unnoticeable as possible to let you enjoy the evening. We chose to engage with Rose and it made the evening 10x better. The appetizers are very good. We got the seafood tower, small, and were very happy with the selection of items. Everything was fresh and very flavorful. I ordered the biggest steak they had on the menu (not the tomahawk) and it was unbelievably good. My wife ordered the Monkfish "Bouillabaisse". The monkfish season had ended so they substituted red snapper. She loved it. Everything about the dining experience at Le'Moynes Chophouse was amazing. Loved every minute of it and will be going back. Save room for dessert! read more

Le Moyne's Chophouse was one of the worst dining experiences I've had. The hostess was kind and helpful when we arrived. After that, things went downhill quickly. As soon as we were seated, there was an overpowering, pungent fish smell. It was strong enough that it seemed like the floors or the seats themselves hadn't been cleaned. Our server never asked if we wanted anything to drink. She offered complimentary champagne, we declined, and she walked away. We were never offered water, cocktails, wine, or anything else. We asked about gluten-free options. She said they had gluten-free items but couldn't tell us what on the menu was actually safe for us to eat. With no real guidance, we ordered salads and decided we would get a proper main course somewhere else. She later offered complimentary dessert. We weren't interested. The final insult: the server took my companion's plate while I still had a fork in my hand and was eating. It felt rude and rushed. The hostess was the only bright spot. I would not recommend Le Moyne's based on this visit. read more

What a great dining experience!! First, walking in...the ambiance was incredible. Perfect lighting, such a cozy , intimate, and sexy space. The service was amazing. Starting with bread and the honey butter. The honey is made from bees housed on the 3rd or 4th floor of the hotel. Wow!! I had a ribeye, and tried every side they had. Every single one was fantastic!! The smoked old fashioned was one of the best I've ever had. I will definitely return the next time I'm in Mobile. read more

The restaurant ambience is spectacular with a mix of modern and French decor. The restaurant is within a hotel. The main entrance of the restaurant is through the hotel. There is Valet parking upfront which is very convenient. We did have a reservation and the restaurant was able to accommodate seating us early. While visiting from out of town and my graduation dinner at Le Moyne's. Now I am pretty sure my party of 6 had great honored to have Adam as our waiter. Adam was entertaining and knowledgeable about the menu and Mobile alike. In our party we tried a variety of dishes from beef Wellington to Australian Wagu and Japanese Wagu. There were no disappointments on the entrées. The Japanese Wagu is cooked at tableside which is an interesting experience. The shareable sides our table had the asparagus, brussels sprouts, macaroni and cheese and mash potatoes. I enjoyed the sides too, but didn't care much for the potatoes. You could taste the quality of ingredients in every bite. The bartender was wonderful, he definitely stayed busy and we even had the delight for the Manager to shake up a paper plane. The menus do come in a sealed envelope, which is a nice touch, there is a book that you can sign in which your receipt comes in. I would recommend visiting Le Moyne's Chophouse for a celebration, date night, or just because. And when back in the area I definitely would ask for Adam! read more

Dinner at Le Mignons Chophouse was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The cocktails were outstanding--a perfectly crafted smoked old fashioned and a great selection of red wine set the tone for the evening. We began with the Oyster Louise, oysters on the half shell with champagne mignonette, and beef carpaccio. The oysters were absolutely phenomenal--fresh, bright, and beautifully prepared. The beef carpaccio was the only dish that fell a bit short, lacking the depth of flavor we expected, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. For dinner, the brown butter halibut and the venison ossobuco were both excellent, delivering bold flavor and flawless execution. The server John was attentive and professional, the ambiance was beautiful, and there were truly zero complaints. A perfect Valentine's Day dinner and a place we would happily return to. read more

I love the ambiance. You get a menu in an envelope. It was described as an invitation to the restaurant. Very cool concept. The service was good the waitress knew the menu and gave recommendations. The food was okay. The truffle gnocchi could have used more salt. The sauce was good, but nothing special. The beef Wellington tasted okay. It was the first time I'd tried it, so nothing to compare it to. The rolls and butter were okay, nothing special. The halibut was flakey and buttery, but the pan sear made crust hard to chew. The potatoes were great. The Brussel sprouts had great flavor. The mushrooms and pearl onions were just not good. I'd maybe give it another try, but it wasn't anything spectacular. read more

Please never remove the beef Wellington from the menu! I've been to dine at this establishment twice. It has been fantastic both times. The first time I had a bone in ribeye. And the second time I had beef Wellington that could melt in your mouth. The only sad thing is the bread. It was not very good. read more

Stopped by to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary. The service was really nice - our server was friendly & attentive. The dinner rolls thar were complimentary was basic 0/10. I ordered the lump crab-cake 5/10 & a la carte ( lobster & shrimp ) for my entree it was great. My husband ordered the steak and loaded Sun king potatoes ( it was stuffed with some sort of beef ). The experience was beautiful, for the amount we spent we still left hungry. But again it was a beautiful restaurant read more

We came here for a small, intimate gathering for my birthday dinner. The ambiance was lovely; very chic decor, lighting and furniture. We sat near the bar, and all our cocktails + wine were fantastic. The service was outstanding, and our servers did a phenomenal job. As the birthday girl I didn't take the time to capture photos of everything. We ordered 10-12 of the smoked old fashioned drinks, a couple martinis, and some wine throughout the night. We had the jumbo crab cake and a couple shrimp cocktail appetizers. One of every side for the table was ordered to share, and all entrees were delicious (a few filet mignon and ribeye steaks, the grouper, and a burger). We finished with 3 slices of satsuma pie to share, and it was so well balanced of tart and sweet, it was the perfect complement to end our meals. I think for all cocktails, wine, appetizers, sides, entrees and desserts, plus a generous tip, we spent quite a bit here. However, it was sooo worth it! Highly, highly recommended, but I'd also recommend using valet or paying for parking across Government Blvd. Looking forward to coming back soon! read more

I am a foodie and the food here was phenomenal. I started off with the grilled Caesar, followed by the crabcake and then 4oz of A5 waygu. The crabcake was all crab and incredible..... a little spicy with the charred chili chutney base but I like spice. If you don't like spices, you could ask to not have the chutney on the bottom. The A5 was incredible.... The grilled Caesar was flavorful. Truffle fries and Bone Marrow appetizers were amazing. For dessert I ordered the entrement citrouille which was unique and delicious. Paul the bartender gave great service. read more

I am so in love with this place! It is a breath of fresh air for Mobile. First of all, the decor is gorgeous. The vibe is classy, elegant, and fun. Velvet semi circle booths with two velvet chairs just screams tamed sexy. The service was awesome. From the hostess to the manager to our servers, service was excellent. Shout out to Brianna for taking care of us. She was professional and always gave us a smile. Although we didn't think we were waiting long, she apologized for the wait for our entrees and brought us dessert on the house. She was so sweet that I had to take a pic with her. Fingers crossed that you are in her section when you visit. The food was wonderful. I ordered a medium New York strip with grilled asparagus. It was cooked to perfection. They say the sides are shareable. My friend and I did share sides but you could eat the asparagus yourself. My friend had the hangar steak and frites. She said it was great. For her additional side, she got the Conecuh Mac and cheese. It was good. However, don't think traditional southern baked mac and cheese- think upscale and creamy. Finally, for dessert we had the Meyer Lemon tart. OMG!!! Unspeakable joy!!! Creamy, sweet, tart and delightful. It has a pistachio crust which elevates the whole dessert. I'm excited about dining here again. Welcome to Mobile. Please stay a while. read more

Le Moyne's Chophouse - A Culinary Standout in Refined Steakhouse Dining Dining at Le Moyne's Chophouse last night was nothing short of a pleasure. From the moment I arrived, the experience was elevated by the exceptional service provided by Rose and Ashtian--attentive, knowledgeable, and gracious throughout the evening. The meal began with a grilled Caesar salad, thoughtfully prepared and anchored by a smoky char that brought depth to the traditional classic. Alongside it, the dinner rolls--was so compelling I found myself requesting a second helping. Rich, warm, and perfectly textured, they were a highlight unto themselves. For the main course, the New York strip arrived flawlessly cooked--expertly seared, tender, and full of flavor. It was accompanied by Brussels sprouts that were nothing short of revelatory. Golden raisins added a gentle sweetness that danced beautifully with the savory crunch of bacon, creating a well-balanced, memorable side dish that I'll be attempting to recreate at home. To close the evening, the cheesecake proved to be an absolute must--light yet indulgent, with a finish that lingered just long enough to make you wish for one more bite. Le Moyne's manages to strike that rare balance between elevated cuisine and warm hospitality. Thanks again to Rose and Ashtian for curating a truly memorable experience. This is a restaurant that respects the classics while finding fresh ways to surprise and delight. read more

I've been to Le Moyne's Chophouse twice now. Didn't leave a review after the first visit because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt--maybe they were just having an off night. Unfortunately, round two confirmed what I suspected: this place is more flash than substance, and it's certainly not "fine dining." I ordered steak both times--same cut, same disappointment. Bland, no seasoning to speak of, and it came out looking like it gave up halfway through cooking. For the price, it's laughable. I've had better steaks at chain restaurants, no lie. My wife tried the fish and said it was "fine," which is code for forgettable. Nothing stood out. The staff was polite enough both visits, but very young and clearly not trained for a fine dining experience. Think Applebee's in tuxedo shirts. No polish, no confidence--just kind of awkward and unsure. Not their fault, but someone should be training them better. But the real kicker was on our second visit. Toward the end of our meal, I noticed a roach crawling up the wall. My wife discreetly went to inform the manager, trying not to make a scene. She pulled him aside near the kitchen door, and instead of concern, he seemed more worried that we were near "his kitchen area." Seriously? You've got a bug climbing the wall in plain sight of your guests, and your concern is territory? I wasn't expecting a broom-swinging exterminator moment, but maybe act like you give a damn? No apology. No comped meal. Just a "call me next time you're coming in" response. Smart, I guess--he probably knew there wouldn't be a next time. Bottom line: If you're going to call yourself a "chophouse" or "fine dining," at least try to live up to it. Right now, this place is all sizzle, no steak. Literally. read more

We finally had the chance to check out Le Moyne's Chophouse, located inside the Admiral Hotel, after several missed opportunities -- and it was absolutely worth the wait. It's easily one of the most beautiful restaurants in Mobile. Our waitress, Jessica, was one of the friendliest we've ever had. She walked us through the menu with confidence, shared thoughtful recommendations, and made the entire experience feel special. We started with the Roasted Bone Marrow -- a first for me -- and I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. I'd definitely order it again. For our main course, we tried the Filet Mignon, cooked perfectly and seasoned even better. The Beef Wellington, which Jessica mentioned is a guest favorite, lived up to the hype -- rich, tender, and full of flavor. It's a must-try if you visit. We paired our entrées with a few sides. I ordered the Pomme Aligot -- my first time trying it -- and it was absolutely amazing: creamy, buttery, and unlike any mashed potatoes I've ever had. I'd choose it again in a heartbeat. My husband went with the Crispy Broccoli. It wasn't my personal favorite, but he loved it, so it really comes down to taste. Because of time restraints, we didn't make it to dessert, but it's definitely on the list for our next visit. The cocktails were outstanding -- the Smoked Old Fashioned and Blue Ridge Manhattan both hit the mark, and you can tell the bartender takes real pride in his craft. (And word is, the martini's a solid choice too.) Ed, the general manager, stopped by our table to make sure everything was perfect, which was a thoughtful touch. The entire staff was kind, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. If you're in Mobile -- or planning a trip here -- Le Moyne's Chophouse should absolutely be on your list. Beautiful space, incredible food, and genuine Southern hospitality all around. I've already made reservations to go back! read more

I don't usually leave reviews, but my experience here for my birthday dinner was so bad I had to say something. First off, there was no air conditioning--it was hot and uncomfortable the entire time. On top of that, there were gnats flying around the table, which made it feel unsanitary and gross. I ordered a Wagyu steak, and it came out underdone. Other people in my party also had issues with uncooked food. Worst of all, no one came to check on us for about 40 minutes after the food was served. That kind of service is unacceptable at any restaurant, let alone during a special occasion. One of my guests arrived a little late, and they refused to let her sit at our table. She had to eat alone, which was embarrassing and completely ruined the mood. What kind of restaurant splits up a birthday party like that? This was supposed to be a special night, and instead it was a total disaster. The service was terrible, the food was disappointing, and the overall experience was awful. I would never recommend this place, especially for a celebration. read more

We were invited here by our local team shortly after they opened. Definitely a more upscale establishment. High quality steak done up exactly how you like (even cut table side in my case). I had the tomahawk steak which was plenty large enough to split and then some. I personally like mine with the mushrooms. The team encouraged us to get the Conecuh Mac and Cheese (a local favorite) that was fantastically rich. Would definitely recommend for upscale entertaining or special events. read more

Food was lukewarm. Turkey dry. No juice or gravy. Service was great though. Bread was not fresh Expected so much more

Though a relaxed ambiance with low lighting, a polite and friendly host and waiters, and delectable sides, Le Moyne's Chophouse is not the place for a flavorful "chop." I had a juicy, but flavorless ribeye and no supplemental sauce to compensate for the lack of seasoning on the meat. When asked how the meal was, I was advised by management that "the meat speaks for itself," which was disappointing for the price point and misleading presentation of the restaurant itself. I tried this place because I was specifically looking for a deliciously prepared and well-seasoned steak on this particular night. Perhaps the other entrées that are not chophouse specialties might be tastier, but the best things on the menu seem to be the sides along with the bread and butter prepared in-house. This kitchen is in a prime location to be successful and needs some more flavorful adjustments. read more
