The restaurant ambience is spectacular with a mix of modern and French decor. The restaurant is within a hotel. The main entrance of the restaurant is through the hotel. There is Valet parking upfront which is very convenient. We did have a reservation and the restaurant was able to accommodate seating us early. While visiting from out of town and my graduation dinner at Le Moyne's. Now I am pretty sure my party of 6 had great honored to have Adam as our waiter. Adam was entertaining and knowledgeable about the menu and Mobile alike. In our party we tried a variety of dishes from beef Wellington to Australian Wagu and Japanese Wagu. There were no disappointments on the entrées. The Japanese Wagu is cooked at tableside which is an interesting experience. The shareable sides our table had the asparagus, brussels sprouts, macaroni and cheese and mash potatoes. I enjoyed the sides too, but didn't care much for the potatoes. You could taste the quality of ingredients in every bite. The bartender was wonderful, he definitely stayed busy and we even had the delight for the Manager to shake up a paper plane. The menus do come in a sealed envelope, which is a nice touch, there is a book that you can sign in which your receipt comes in. Dinner at Le Mignons Chophouse was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The cocktails were outstanding--a perfectly crafted smoked old fashioned and a great selection of red wine set the tone for the evening. We began with the Oyster Louise, oysters on the half shell with champagne mignonette, and beef carpaccio. The oysters were absolutely phenomenal--fresh, bright, and beautifully prepared. The beef carpaccio was the only dish that fell a bit short, lacking the depth of flavor we expected, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. For dinner, the brown butter halibut and the venison ossobuco were both excellent, delivering bold flavor and flawless execution. The server John was attentive and professional, the ambiance was beautiful, and there were truly zero complaints. A perfect Valentine's Day dinner and a place we would happily return to. read more

The food was okay. The truffle gnocchi could have used more salt. The sauce was good, but nothing special. The beef Wellington tasted okay. It was the first time I'd tried it, so nothing to compare it to. The rolls and butter were okay, nothing special. The halibut was flakey and buttery, but the pan sear made crust hard to chew. The potatoes were great. The Brussel sprouts had great flavor. The mushrooms and pearl onions were just not good. I'd maybe give it another try, but it wasn't anything spectacular. read more

We came here for a small, intimate gathering for my birthday dinner. The ambiance was lovely; very chic decor, lighting and furniture. We sat near the bar, and all our cocktails + wine were fantastic. The service was outstanding, and our servers did a phenomenal job. As the birthday girl I didn't take the time to capture photos of everything. We ordered 10-12 of the smoked old fashioned drinks, a couple martinis, and some wine throughout the night. We had the jumbo crab cake and a couple shrimp cocktail appetizers. One of every side for the table was ordered to share, and all entrees were delicious (a few filet mignon and ribeye steaks, the grouper, and a burger). We finished with 3 slices of satsuma pie to share, and it was so well balanced of tart and sweet, it was the perfect complement to end our meals. I think for all cocktails, wine, appetizers, sides, entrees and desserts, plus a generous tip, we spent quite a bit here. However, it was sooo worth it! I am a foodie and the food here was phenomenal. I started off with the grilled Caesar, followed by the crabcake and then 4oz of A5 waygu. The crabcake was all crab and incredible..... a little spicy with the charred chili chutney base but I like spice. If you don't like spices, you could ask to not have the chutney on the bottom. The A5 was incredible.... The grilled Caesar was flavorful. Truffle fries and Bone Marrow appetizers were amazing. For dessert I ordered the entrement citrouille which was unique and delicious. For her additional side, she got the Conecuh Mac and cheese. It was good. However, don't think traditional southern baked mac and cheese- think upscale and creamy. Finally, for dessert we had the Meyer Lemon tart. OMG!!! Unspeakable joy!!! Creamy, sweet, tart and delightful. It has a pistachio crust which elevates the whole dessert. I've been to Le Moyne's Chophouse twice now. Didn't leave a review after the first visit because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt--maybe they were just having an off night. Unfortunately, round two confirmed what I suspected: this place is more flash than substance, and it's certainly not "fine dining." I ordered steak both times--same cut, same disappointment. Bland, no seasoning to speak of, and it came out looking like it gave up halfway through cooking. For the price, it's laughable. I've had better steaks at chain restaurants, no lie. My wife tried the fish and said it was "fine," which is code for forgettable. Nothing stood out. The staff was polite enough both visits, but very young and clearly not trained for a fine dining experience. Think Applebee's in tuxedo shirts. No polish, no confidence--just kind of awkward and unsure. Not their fault, but someone should be training them better. But the real kicker was on our second visit. Toward the end of our meal, I noticed a roach crawling up the wall. My wife discreetly went to inform the manager, trying not to make a scene. She pulled him aside near the kitchen door, and instead of concern, he seemed more worried that we were near "his kitchen area." Seriously? You've got a bug climbing the wall in plain sight of your guests, and your concern is territory? I wasn't expecting a broom-swinging exterminator moment, but maybe act like you give a damn? No apology. No comped meal. Just a "call me next time you're coming in" response. Smart, I guess--he probably knew there wouldn't be a next time. Bottom line: If you're going to call yourself a "chophouse" or "fine dining," at least try to live up to it. Right now, this place is all sizzle, no steak. Literally. read more

We finally had the chance to check out Le Moyne's Chophouse, located inside the Admiral Hotel, after several missed opportunities -- and it was absolutely worth the wait. It's easily one of the most beautiful restaurants in Mobile. Our waitress, Jessica, was one of the friendliest we've ever had. She walked us through the menu with confidence, shared thoughtful recommendations, and made the entire experience feel special. We started with the Roasted Bone Marrow -- a first for me -- and I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. I'd definitely order it again. For our main course, we tried the Filet Mignon, cooked perfectly and seasoned even better. The Beef Wellington, which Jessica mentioned is a guest favorite, lived up to the hype -- rich, tender, and full of flavor. It's a must-try if you visit. We paired our entrées with a few sides. I ordered the Pomme Aligot -- my first time trying it -- and it was absolutely amazing: creamy, buttery, and unlike any mashed potatoes I've ever had. I'd choose it again in a heartbeat. My husband went with the Crispy Broccoli. It wasn't my personal favorite, but he loved it, so it really comes down to taste. Because of time restraints, we didn't make it to dessert, but it's definitely on the list for our next visit. The cocktails were outstanding -- the Smoked Old Fashioned and Blue Ridge Manhattan both hit the mark, and you can tell the bartender takes real pride in his craft. (And word is, the martini's a solid choice too.) Ed, the general manager, stopped by our table to make sure everything was perfect, which was a thoughtful touch. I don't usually leave reviews, but my experience here for my birthday dinner was so bad I had to say something. First off, there was no air conditioning--it was hot and uncomfortable the entire time. On top of that, there were gnats flying around the table, which made it feel unsanitary and gross. I ordered a Wagyu steak, and it came out underdone. Other people in my party also had issues with uncooked food. Worst of all, no one came to check on us for about 40 minutes after the food was served. That kind of service is unacceptable at any restaurant, let alone during a special occasion. One of my guests arrived a little late, and they refused to let her sit at our table. She had to eat alone, which was embarrassing and completely ruined the mood. What kind of restaurant splits up a birthday party like that? This was supposed to be a special night, and instead it was a total disaster. The service was terrible, the food was disappointing, and the overall experience was awful. I had the tomahawk steak which was plenty large enough to split and then some. I personally like mine with the mushrooms. I had a juicy, but flavorless ribeye and no supplemental sauce to compensate for the lack of seasoning on the meat. When asked how the meal was, I was advised by management that "the meat speaks for itself," which was disappointing for the price point and misleading presentation of the restaurant itself. I tried this place because I was specifically looking for a deliciously prepared and well-seasoned steak on this particular night. Perhaps the other entrées that are not chophouse specialties might be tastier, but the best things on the menu seem to be the sides along with the bread and butter prepared in-house.
